Excellent voice acting, tightly coupled puzzled and great game controls. A difficulty level that is challenging but not frustrating. A rare balance among todays games.

This game has a lot of challenges and has a lot of humor involving destruction not paing attention to the slidshows. The Guro is awsome because you can take over stuff like the dingos with shotguns and smash his head against another dingo. thats the great. Thats why thats why this game is rated a 10.

Sly 3 is by far one of the greatest platformers for the PlayStation 2. The mechanics are simple and easy to get used to, the voice acting is great, the puzzles are orderly set out puzzles accompanied by great and smooth controls. The graphics and the art style is great for a PlayStation 2, and as simple as the game is, it can often pose a great challenge.

Since childhood I have been playing the Sly Cooper games and I loved this one. I liked the new concept of bringing in new characters to complete the greatest heist/mission the gang ever conceived yet relating the plot to Sly's past. I also liked the new usage of vehicles like planes and boats. Boss battles are frustrating and difficult but satisfying once completed. Even though the games came out years ago I find myself playing them over summer vacation year after year as they are timeless fun for all ages. Expand

I actually liked this game the most of the PS2 Sly era, this is one of the best games for the PS2.
It got everything from Thievius Raccoonus and Band of Thieves, and with the new minigames,it's the best in series (for me at least).
    All in all,this game gets a 9/10.

"Threequels" are tricky. Be it a threequel in a film series, a book series, or a video game series, making a second sequel to a work of art isn't always easy. More often than not, the second expanded upon the first game so much to the point where a third game will automatically feel like a giant step-back. That is, unless you're Sucker Punch Productions and you're making "Sly 3: Honor"Threequels" are tricky. More often than not, the second expanded upon the first game so much to the point where a third game will automatically feel like a giant step-back. That is, unless you're Sucker Punch Productions and you're making "Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves."
The third game in the Sly Cooper series may not break much new ground (aside from the addition of some new playable characters), but it's abundantly clear that Sucker Punch made the game with polish in mind, and the result is a title with beautiful visuals, fun and varied gameplay, a charming script, an interesting story, wonderful voice acting, memorable music, and an outstanding cast of characters, new and old. In many regards, "Sly 3" might actually be the best in the series. Yes, that's contested, but I believe that Sly 3's polish helps it out in many regards.
That said, the game is far from perfection. While our new heroes are great, the villains (save for a few exceptions, such as Don Octavio) just aren't as good. Maybe they didn't have the same "team synergy" that the Fiendish Five had, or maybe they just weren't that interesting. Regardless, the villains are definitely a weak point of the game, and beyond that, length is an issue here. While each Sly Cooper game save for "Sly 2: Band of Thieves" had some kind of length problem, "Sly 3" is arguably the shortest game in the entire series. Blame it on the removal of clues in bottles, vaults and hidden treasures, blame it on developers just purposely making the game shorter, whatever you blame it on, the game itself is pretty short and not all that difficult.
Regardless, "Sly 3" stands tall among the PS2's mighty pantheon of first-party platformers and is a worthwhile edition to any video game collection.

This is my childhood favorite combining the best from Sly 1 and 2, without most of the shortcomings. The ability to replay misions over Sly 2 was great and the charactar roster was greatly expanded. As for the gameplay it is as good as ever, but now you can sail. Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves is an amazing follow-up after the masterful predecessor and the third installment took things even further, especially when the long-awaited co-op feature is there for those that want to play together at the comfort of their home.

A worthy addition to my favourite franchise, this game advances on its predecessor's in leaps and bounds, introducing a plethora of new playable characters and gameplay mechanics. The story and setting is as good as always, the only negative is that sadly the game suffers from some of the same game breaking bugs of the prequels, even if you are fortunate to rarely encounter them.A worthy addition to my favourite franchise, this game advances on its predecessor's in leaps and bounds, introducing a plethora of new playable characters and gameplay mechanics. Though on this, the third time around, the game's template is starting to feel a tad formulaic, it's stil a formula that works well, and fans of the series should be well pleased. [Nov 2005, p.92]
  3. It's safe to say that Sly 3 doesn't expand on the series like Sly 2 did, as it feels more like an add-on adventure than a completely whole game in itself.
