This game is a dream! And one of the best PS2 games of all time. Most important to me is that it just makes me dream away with its wonderful landscapes and great soundtrack. The developers did really great in creating a wonderful new world and doing something different than everyone else is doing. But I guess the masses will never digest anything so beautiful if it doesn't have guns This game is a dream! And one of the best PS2 games of all time. The developers did really great in creating a wonderful new world and doing something different than everyone else is doing. But I guess the masses will never digest anything so beautiful if it doesn't have guns and blood and the latest graphics engine. It's a shame. Because games like these don't get the success they deserve by todays oh-so-cool gamer kiddies, I really think the gaming community is going down. Expand

I play this game for a long time now and am always coming back to it. This is the kind of game that really is worth every cent of its cost.

A flight sim game that doesn't need guns or over-elaborate conrols, yet still gets the blood pumping and gives people an opportunity to be blown by the wind, get shocked by low cloud thunderstorms, and fly in aircraft like the m-e-262, or the awesome stealth fighter! Breathtaking stuff, but it may suffer from some due to its genre, after all, not many people are heavily into flight A flight sim game that doesn't need guns or over-elaborate conrols, yet still gets the blood pumping and gives people an opportunity to be blown by the wind, get shocked by low cloud thunderstorms, and fly in aircraft like the m-e-262, or the awesome stealth fighter! I totally agree with everyone else, great game exciting missions, sure it can be frustrating but when you complete some of the more challenging missions they are truly satisfying. Good variety in the landscapes and excitement. Also how cool was it finding the garden of eden at the end... trippy ! two thumbs way up.

Frustration is there, but it is still a boat load of fun in the end. Extremely low end visuals will demand the player go in looking for more than just a pretty face, but they will find their dedication to be well worth it.

!!*This game is the reason I play with Inverted controls on ALL Game Genres*!! The challenge it offers in the higher levels is unmatched. I personally think it has High Replay Value.

This game, despite going back to the beginning of the millennium has aged beautifully. 20 years later I still find it VERY playable and memorable, not sounding biased but I've harbored this game within my heart since I started playing it when it came out here in Europe in 2001. For me over the years I do remember when I was back in Primary School drawing what experiences I'd had in this game. However when I mentioned it to my fellow peers they'd never even heard of it!

The adventure most is the most challenging but is the most memorable part of the game with secrets and ''On the edge of your seat'' missions which does get the adrenaline going (Especially if you were new to it at the time). It has plenty of content to unlock when you master the flying game-play and it feels genuinely rewarding in yourself. For myself it's 2020 and I STILL play it to this day despite completing everything the game has to offer. Customising the aircraft is another huge up for this game as it give you the ability to modify your plane to whatever aerodynamic changes as well as paint-schemes available for all aircraft, emblems are a nice touch as well as they give you the ability to make your own! Talk about having a PS2 version of Microsoft paint in a game! Which is brilliant!

For many who've played it and still do it's aged beautifully as I said above like a fine wine or cheese. It's sad to think that this game isn't recognised greatly despite being a genuine one of a kind as no such effort for using flight as a base for adventure has been re-visited by modern game developers.

Sky Odyssey should have got more recognition as said above. It's forever going to be a legend in terms of being among the greats in the PlayStation 2 era.

Quite a break from the norm this one! This is pure flying and no combat. Its is nothign like HAWK, Ace Combat or anything similar that involves aerial combat. However, for those of us (including me) who like skimming across vast landscapes, going thorough checkpoints, and starting and ending a mission like a jolly good, down to earth pilot, then this is a must have game! However, for those of us (including me) who like skimming across vast landscapes, going thorough checkpoints, and starting and ending a mission like a jolly good, down to earth pilot, then this is a must have game! Fun for both children and adults alike, it teaches you the basics of maneuvering an aircraft, and doesn't get you bogged down in the theory or mechanics of it all. Its got very good graphics for a 2000 game, and even after 23 years, it feels great to play. The music is simple, but pleasant enough to keep you focused on the gameplay blissfully (composed by the same guy who ws the the Shadow of the Colossus team). Each mission has its own objectives, from point A to point B, but with a whole host of variety to make things interesting, such as changing weather conditions, falling rocks, tagging onto other vehicles (e.g. the re-fueling train!!!) or alternative routes. This is a rare treat, and I have not heard of one single game with these unique elements on the PS2. For most this brings out the child hood dreams of flying around and/or adventuring! Expand

Should you feed this particular 12 shiny purple centimetres of powerful, liberating gameplay to your hungry PS2, you’ll be grateful too: you won’t remove it until you’ve finished the whole thing at least twice.

Sky Odyssey brings all sorts of elements from "Pilot Wings" and packs them together with a fligh-based adventure, making this a fresh original title that you must have.

Mildly enjoyable, but I found it hardly engaging.
