Really nice romance story, and not so bad gameplay. I don't like turn based gameplays, but this game I beat even 2 times. There is not many games with good romance connected with main story. I thing BioWare never achieve such high level on romance like in games like this one.

Underrated(Or maybe rather, undermarketed, since the problem is barely anyone heard of it...) gem of a game! From the times before NIS America became censor-happy prudes. It even had a separate DVD disc with the whole game containing original Japanese dubbing! I really applaud that effort as the english dub was kinda cringeworthy and it's a shame Wii version didn't include JapaneseUnderrated(Or maybe rather, undermarketed, since the problem is barely anyone heard of it...) gem of a game! Story is pretty solid, characters a lot of fun(And cute), and while I'm more of a fan of the real-time combat system from the newer PS4 title, the turn based combat here is quite fun too!(Although it tends to get unforgivably hard if you don't use a guide to keep the team's relationship with you at a good level...)

  1. Yes, it's campy and silly in parts, and yes, it's not something many western audiences are going to be used to. However, I feel that Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love is definitely worth the look.

With battles few and far between, then, your enjoyment of Sakura Wars really boils down to how well you can tolerate extended anime storytelling sequences. If you're like me and find them more amusing than annoying, you'll be perfectly content.
  3. It's simple and easy to play, and it offers a fair amount of value for your dollar.
