ChristianC.Apr 21, 2007This shooter is excellent, and compared with others games of the same gender on PS2 it's awesome. It's fast, has good looking graphics & effects and very enjoyable. The music is not bad, but sometimes lack in excitement. Definitively a must-have-game for all space shooter fan.

DanSpinasMay 6, 2009Great Game IF you're a fan of the genre and/or the series. It compares favorably with I & II; however, much better graphics. The bosses seem a bit on the tough side, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. A "must have" since you can pick it up online or bargain bin for around $20.

The most interesting feature though, has to be the inclusion of the "Double Play" mode where it's possible to play a 2P game whilst controlling both ships - a technique made famous by a skillful Japanese Ikaruga player, and now here it is entering the mainstream as a proper play mode. [JPN Import]
