LaurierNov 17, 2007This is an extremely fun and addictive game. It also is simple to learn, has lots of stuff for the player to do, and, well, just FEELS right to play. However, some things (the music comes to mind) get tiresome after a while, hence the 9. Still, if you like playing Bejeweled and want more depth to it, grab this if you can find it. You won't regret it.

Dec 3, 2011I found Puzzle Quest deeply satisfying and appealing to my slight sense of obsessive compulsive (disorder). Variability seems pretty open along an interesting story line. Character trait development is almost wide open. I had to physically get rid of the game in order to stop replaying it...

#72 Most Discussed PS2 Game of 2007
|
-
The unlikely marriage of puzzle gameplay with RPG mechanics makes for one of the most addictive experiences of the year.

The PlayStation 2 version of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords comes highly recommended, even if it's not the most attractive version available. The Xbox Live version, and even the PSP version with its annoying bugs are better looking versions of the same game, but you can't lose with any choice you make.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is not a hard game to recommend and you should really run out and get it if you have a PS2 and no other system. This game has been through a whirlwind of praise and this version is no different.
