A game that really needs a design overhaul some might like title, but I certainly wouldnt want to spend more time with it.
-
The graphics of FO 2003 aren't horrible, but they're definitely weak.
-
The changes did not go far enough and the result is a game that is still a notch below the top players.
-
Simply way too choppy to enjoy all that much.
-
There are far too many gameplay, graphics, and presentation problems. I would say that the game is minor league, but that would be an insult to the guys in the AHL.
-
The game AI may have a few stumbles, and the graphical quality isnt near the standards set by EASports or Midway, but this is not a bad game.
-
I was fairly impressed by Faceoffs presentation, player models, and intuitive controls. However the weak animations and sub par franchise mode in the game keep Faceoff from achieving greatness.
-
With too many in game flaws and lack of customization youll be lucky if you can get through one season of NHL Faceoff 2003.
-
The game also plays very jerky, which in the end, is really the most important part.
-
The problems arise though with the poor AI and gameplay of the game which is plagued by sketchy animations and goalies that just do not seem to want to stop those easy shots.
-
The graphics are bad, the gameplay is below average and the career mode is weak, add it all up and it makes for a game I cant really recommend to anyone.

-
The game generally just tightens up many spots to make it a contender this year. Of course with other offerings out there, 989 still might be your third or fourth.
-
Despite a year off last year, Faceoff 2003 hasn't improved enough to stay with the competition.
