PSM3 Magazine UKThere's no denying that it's repetitive, but it retains its arcade-style toughness. [July 2007, p.84]

Play UKWith seven Metal Slug games on one disc and all for under 30 quid this anothology is definitely worth picking up. [Issue#154, p.90]

It may be unusual, insistent on clinging to a long-gone gaming era, and incredibly hard at times, but by including every major Metal Slug game, is without doubt one of the finest platform shooter titles yet released.
