    This game is my first madden. 07 is one of my favorite games childhood. I always wanted to play it again. Simply put, one of the better football games.

    Bring back ESPN NFL 2K! Oh yeah that's right...EA Sports bought the rights to everything in the NFL. We only had to plunk down $20. Madden lost serious money the last year that game came out. I'm still enjoying 2K5...so you guys at EA are out $50 from this football fan. Boycott Madden!

    Once again it impresses with new features and solid all-around performance. Although graphics are the same and and franchise mode is the same except for draft stuff. NFL Superstar: Hall of Fame Mode is a very inticing mode in Madden. Unlike last year's version, you actually feel like you're the player because of the new camera angles. Plus, if you're say an offensive player, now you don't have to play D, which is awesome. Plus, not having to worry about calling plays makes it feel more like you're a WR, Rb, because they don;'t call the plays. Not getting the ball all the time is also more realistic. You have to make plays and get open on your own. So overall, Madden NFL 07 is another great entry into the long-running Madden football series.… Expand

    Not a lot of changes from 2006 to 2007, but that's not a bad thing. As one reviewer put it, it's worth it just to get the new rosters and play as Reggie Bush. Leadblocker is a welcomed change of pace on offense and can make a difference in busting long runs. Wish they would have improved the online, it seems sluggish.     Superstar mode is the best part of this game, but the graphics have changed much since 2004! Its still a great game!

    This game is off the HOOK! Every year I think they can't do any more, they exceed my expectations. The blocking idea was a good idea, but I can't seem to find a good use for it, yet. But, the rest of the game more than makes up for it. The animations, and the breaking tackles more than fit the bill. And, when you figure out that the A.I. make at-the-line adjustments to your This game is off the HOOK! Every year I think they can't do any more, they exceed my expectations.     Wish I could give it 8.5. Ah well..... Two things I wanted changed from last year - more realistic pass blocking and better use of vision cone - have more or less been fixed. That alone makes the game far more playable and enjoyable than 06. There's actually a realistic feel to the pocket now, which really was lacking the last few years. No one gets sacked 12 times every game. The Wish I could give it 8.5. Ah well..... Two things I wanted changed from last year - more realistic pass blocking and better use of vision cone - have more or less been fixed. That alone makes the game far more playable and enjoyable than 06. There's actually a realistic feel to the pocket now, which really was lacking the last few years. No one gets sacked 12 times every game. The option to bring up the vision cone is a huge plus. Overall the gameplay seems a lot more realistic in terms of the flow of the games. I don't care much about the superstar mode and the other bells and whistles outside of the franchise mode. And the franchise mode is a lot better - they cut down on some of the nonsense cuts that computer-controlled teams make and the rookie scouting is much improved. It's definitely a game that's getting old, but then again so is the PS2. What do you expect? There are plenty of concepts to build on for the next-gen systems.… Expand

    It could be a 10 but the poor fantasy draft mode where position runs make it easy to plan who to draft when. Also they need to add a hall of fame for the franchise mode.

    New lead block controls are too much in the gameplay. Otherwise the game is funner than ever! Graphics are slightly better and the new superstar mode improved a lot! Madden steped up after buying out all other football franchises.

    Madden 07 is just like 06. It's all the same except for maybe some of the different analog moves you can make with RB's or OL. The QB cone needs to go, but keep the precision passing option with leading the receiver or throwing it high or low. The cone is too much to use when trying to look around and making sure you have the cone on your man, and looking down at the pass rush.

This isn't better football, this is more distractive football. Slight of hand tricks stopped working on me in 2004. I hope someone in the video game world steps up to the challenge and says Madden you stink! You have gotten fat and It's good to see Gamespot, IGN, and 1UP are calling EA's bluff.     EA Sports is ruining every franchise sports wise. Madden is one of the best examples. The best madden is about the 2003. From then on it got worst. Espn 2K5 had so much more to offer. In Madden 2012 it allowed the user to have the coach pick a play and have the user try to execute it. 2K5 had this feature and it was made more than half a decade sooner.     It's the one I started my NFL gaming life with, and it's the first time knowing about football. Classic. New lead-blocking controls, NFL Superstar mode! what more can you ask for?!

    Hitstick feels nice and is still effective. Madden is still a good game. Don't know what else to say because basically the same. Not saying that its bad though.

It has options, such as enroll yourself in a movie, or be interviewed on how you think your team is going to do in the Super Bowl. The Franchise mode offers so much as well, from making the prices on hot dogs and hamburgers to watching tapes on rookie scouting.Madden '07 is such a good game, it has made me come back, begging for more every time I play it.     The Second Best Madden NFL Game Ever. The Deepest Franchise and Superstar Mode Of All Time. The Tony Bruno Show. The Senior Bowl. Total Immersion and Depth. Had it had Player Weapons it would be Number One. Still 10/10 tho. And its run game is better than 08, the G.O.A.T.

    Madden was at its peak between Madden 2004-08. Ever since the jump from the PS1 to the PS2 was big milestone for the Franchise, we thought that every single year EA would add more features to the next installment. While most people say that Madden was starting to decline after EA signed an exclusive deal with the NFL killing off the NFL 2K Titles, that really was applied for the nextMadden was at its peak between Madden 2004-08. Ever since the jump from the PS1 to the PS2 was big milestone for the Franchise, we thought that every single year EA would add more features to the next installment. While most people say that Madden was starting to decline after EA signed an exclusive deal with the NFL killing off the NFL 2K Titles, that really was applied for the next generation of consoles like the PS2 jumping to the PS3 to the PS4 to the PS5 just like the OG Xbox jumping to the Xbox 360 to the Xbox ONE to the Xbox Series X/S. For example before Madden 07, Madden 06 was the greatest game of the Franchise on the 6th Gen consoles (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube), while the 7th Gen version on the Xbox 360 was an absolute disaster. While EA was starting to kill the Franchise on the next-gen consoles, they didn't do that at all on the 6th Gen consoles.

    Madden 07 isn't my personal favorite Madden ever, that goes to Madden 08 IMO. But, honestly Madden 07 deserves the title of being the GOAT of the Franchise. Just off the fact that Madden 07 has over 80+ Features that aren't in a Modern Madden Title today. Madden 07 has a Franchise mode that is better and deeper than any 7th Gen (PS3, Xbox 360), 8th Gen (PS4, Xbox One), or 9th Gen Console (PS5, Xbox Series) and it makes Madden 22 look like TRASH. The Game also features a proper Superstar Mode where you play any position & you can play out your career the way you want with your own story instead of your career being dictated by cutscenes. Madden 07 also added the brand new Lead-Blocking controls where the player can control any Offensive Lineman, Tight End, or Fullback where you can manually control the blocking on a run play. The Game also added the Highlight Stick where you use the Right Analog Stick to fake-out the defense by juking, spinning, ducking or making cutbacks upfield.

    Even the back of Madden 07's box has more features than Madden 21 & 22's box! That is absolutely unacceptable! Madden 07's box shows features like the "Deepest Franchise Mode Ever" & "Player-Specific Running Moves". It has features that show what people want from a Madden game today, if this was copied and pasted today everybody would be hyped to buy it & it wouldn't receive all of the criticism today for having bugs and glitches or micro-transactions. Compared to Madden 07's box, Madden 21's box shows new content for Ultimate Team, Face of the Franchise which is a straight bastardization of Superstar Mode, & The Yard which was incredibly lackluster.

    Madden 07's Franchise Mode was the last one to feature the "Tony Bruno Show" where you could hear Tony talk about news like Game Upsets, Contract Negotiations, etc. The "Tony Bruno Show" was EA's version of NFL 2K5's SportsCenter wrap-up show but it's in the form of a Radio show. Madden 08 pretty much had the same Franchise mode as Madden 07, but it was lacking anything similar to the "Tony Bruno Show" and lacking of licensed Local & National Newspapers. It may not sound big at all, but it gives Madden 07 an edge over Madden 08.

    When re-locating a team in Franchise Mode you can create your own team instead of using generic presets today. You have the ability to give any name, colors, logo, city or state, & uniform templates the way you want! You can even import Historic Teams like the 1972 Bears or the 1990s Bills. You can even create your own plays and put them in a custom playbook to use in Franchise. After the NFL Draft, you can perform Training Camp drills to upgrade your any of your players' attributes. There were also fully licensed coaches you can hire. When scouting rookies, you can perform drills to unlock in-depth scouting reports showing their strengths & weaknesses. You can even play the Senior Bowl to help scout players before the NFL Draft. You can view Pro-Bowl Votes midseason, you can deal with Restricted Free Agents & players on a Contract Holdout, you can sign Free Agents & Draft Picks to custom contracts, you can view Position Battles for your Team, get E-Mails from people within your organization, view local and national newspapers, having practice jerseys in practice drills, viewing a player's morale, playing any Franchise Game regardless of your team playing, sorting draft picks by combine stats like their 40-Yard Dash or Bench Reps, and so much more.......

    Of course, those features aren't in Madden 22. If you wanna play a Madden game with a good franchise mode you have to play Madden 2004-08.

    Gameplay was awesome in Madden 07 even though it's not better than All-Pro Football 2K8's gameplay. The Kick Meter was changed drastically because instead of it being a Timed-Button Press you had to flick the stick down then up to reach max power. It resembled kicking a real Football even though it sounded easy, it felt a lot more realistic. Gameplay is actually challenging unlike a Modern Madden Game today.

    Considering that many of the gameplay features are extremely mild remixes of previously included gameplay options, this year’s Madden comes across as a solid title, but one that’s starting to show its age.

    EA's challenge is not to simplify their simulation or stop adding detail, but to integrate those features so well that players can simply marvel at how advanced the game has become. The Superstar revisions are a step in the right direction, since they allow players to focus on the entire game one player at a time, but otherwise that's just not the case.

    It’s so polished and refined. For the first time ever the series incorporates some of my favorite features from "NFL Street" (such as tapping the X button to escape a tackle). That function goes way back to the days of arcade sports titles like "NFL Blitz."
