MWiedsSep 29, 2001This game is THE perfect platformer. It's simple, fast, and visually appealing (just how I like my women LOL). What the hell is up with Gaming Age and their measley 82? That score is for games like "Time Splitters" that are okay but eventually start to suck. If anyone gives it a score below that, they should be backhanded with extreme prejudice!

ToniH.Oct 9, 2002I love this game! Leorina and Tat are definatly my faves! I can't put the controller down once I start playing. I can't play it right now anyway because my brother's TV speakers are busted right now.

BudokAug 4, 2004Before i played Klonoa 2 I rented first the Klonoa Door to Phantomile and i Found both games to be fun in a simple style yet with a good story and a sad ending, although the game is rather too short but still it could entertain you for a few hours. Anyway i recommend first playing the old klonoa version before playing the second installation so you could appreciate the game.(",)

AnonymousMCOct 26, 2007Without a doubt the most underrated platformer of our generation. The graphics are some of the most beautiful on the PS2 and the gameplay is highly entertaining with satisfying challenges and innovative (hell it nearly perfected the 2.5D genre of gaming). If you can look past the cuesy atmosphere, You'll find a game ready to be enjoyed in both gameplay and story.

KLAXFeb 23, 2002Klonoa 2, like its predecessor, is pure platformer perfection. So wonderful is this gaming experience that I forgive the halfhearted 'surfing' levels.

Jul 7, 2017The best platformer game ever made.
The beauty,the level design,the characters,the soundtrack,the story,the boss fights.
Everything is perfect and legendary.
This is just a masterpiece back in the days.
I really hope they make another sequel, cause I want to play games like this again. -
Jul 22, 2016Knlonoa has it's next game and it doesn't have a big flop on it's face. This game is my 18th favorite game and it sure has great or even perfect gameplay!

Jan 2, 2017Damn. Like, damn. This game is unbelievable. Without a doubt, one of the best platformers of all time. It just makes me look at all of Namco's recent failures with Pac-Man and think "YOU COULD HAVE DONE THIS THE WHOLE TIME?!" A stunning art style, brilliant music, tight gameplay and a remarkable story. It has it all. Just go play it. Like now. Go on. I'll wait.

Jan 16, 2017This game was really something back in the day, although it only sold well because it was a launch title. Too bad the Klonoa franchise never really catch on with the more popular platform mascots.
-
Nov 17, 2017It's hard to dislike a game this incredibly fun. Tight controls and a really clever set of mechanics makes a game like this really stand out. It's really unfortunate how unknown this series is. Frankly, this is my favorite platforming game, period.

Jul 15, 2020Got this game 2 months ago to relive my childhood and man this series did not get enough love. This is easily the best platformer on the ps2. It still holds up well graphically, it's fine its well balanced difficulty wise. Story is decent the music is fantastic and the levels are just fun to play. I wish they wpuld release another game or remakes

Aug 3, 2022Best of all ps2 platformers.
The game is full of creative ideas, well-tuned levels and a moving story to impress kids. -
PatrickM.Oct 26, 2001Beautiful 3D graphics, classic 2D platform gameplay. A must own for classic gaming enthusiasts. May not be your cup of tea if you're expecting true 3D platforming -- this game is 2D at heart.

The music almost has a Mario-like atmosphere to it although with some weird Japanese sound to it, which is great to hear while playing a platformer.
-
Oh sweet mother of mercy, this is why I picked up a joystick in the first place. Klonoa 2 is as close to a flawless game as I've ever seen.
-
While the story isn't quite as moving as the original, Klonoa 2 has a wonderful mix of action, great control, nice challenge (if you try to really complete the game), and just beautiful presentation.
