    The game's too easy, and the fighting system too. Normally it takes me months to complete a game, def jam fight for new york took me 2days to complete it. -xxxxxx- to my fans

    Gritty and intense fighting at its finest! This is one of the closest games to ever come to being like fight club (aka real life fighting) as you can ever get.... It is fast and furious and the pennace of the PSX2's power using the engine at its fullest possible envelope. Anyone who likes fighting games should NOT pass this one up... If you were a fan of the first DefJamV game then Gritty and intense fighting at its finest!     Haven't had this for long, but so far it's a whole load of gangster-pounding fun. One minor problem is that bashing peoples heads against a wall, although it is extremely funny first time, could get a bit repetitive.

    I've never played Vendetta, but this is easily the most fun I've had playing a fighting game in a long time. I would recommend it to wrestling and hip hop fans alike.

    That's a perfect game. that's a great idea integrate rappers as fighter the first one was great but the new one is better more powerfull.. Gotta have it !!

    this is great. really fun and enjoyable. only one frustrating fight in the whole game and that is the tag team with you and blaze against crack and ludacris. knocking people out with a cro bar or broom or cue is really funny. great multiplayer. story is more fun than the first def jam. 10/10.

    The most realistic advanced story line ive experienced in gaming. I thought doa 3 was a realistic looking game as far as animation, this hands doa its ass.

    This game has great graphics.It is one of the best games i've played.I have beat story mode five times.I also have a question about story mode at the end does your girlfriend die of smoke inhalation from the fire or is she just KO?That's all.

    This game is off the chain! It is the Best game made since GTA: Vice City & San Andreas. The songs of the soundtrack were very wise choices and fit game very well. I am proud of the makers and am waiting for the next Def Jam. Thanx!

    I think that this game is very good! lots of things to do, I used to play this game alot when I was younger and the game was more playable, as in I played with my brother all the time, now we don't play it together anymore, Although, I have been playing it for awhile today.     On par with Tekken 4, absolutely fantastic game, great story that doesn't necessarily follow on from Vendetta, customisation is brilliant and overall the best fighting game I've ever played... Sorry Tekken

    This was defintinly an upgrade from Vendetta. The story takes place after, D-mob gets arrested. You rescue him, and you start fighting for him. However, after a while the storyline doesn't really pick off from where you left off in Vendetta. You have to help take over clubs, by fighting Crow's men. (Snoop Dog) The character customizations is great. You can choose you're fighting style, wear some amazing clothes and jewlery, make character look different, get tatoos, and hair cuts.     One of the GREATEST fighting games of all time! Full of awesome blazin moves, hip-hop and celebrity fighters, Def Jam FFNY shows great fun! Not very great on the story though.

    SENSACIONAL! Uma obra de arte, um jogo feito com muita dedicação e carinho, um jogo que foi lançado em 2004 e até HOJE nunca foi superado. É incrível a qualidade imensa desse jogo, simplesmente o MELHOR jogo de luta de todos os tempos!

    This 'M' rated sequel to "Vendetta" is a big improvement. It's everything the first one should have been. Featuring a deep roster of fighters, deep customization options and several modes, it stands as one of AKI's best titles. If you're a fan of Def Jam's artists, the movie "Fight Club" and fighting games, you'll love this. I would rate it with an 8.7 out of 10.

"Прокачка" что есть что ее нету. Сложность - сплошной рандом. 100500 спец приемов, не понятно зачем нужны ибо тратить на них очки развития не имеет абсолютно никакого смысла, это просто анимации.     One of the best PS2-Games ever. DJ Vendetta is great too, but DJ FFNY is the best in the franchise. I think a modern DJ-Game would be pretty awesome.

    def jam fight for ny es uno de los mejores juegos de peleas que e jugado, y combina muy bien ciertos componentes arcade y de simulacion dando un trabajo final grandioso tiene varios estilos de pelea y se pueden combinar 3 de los 6 que quedan a la eleccion de el jugador. la cantidad de personajes, ropa, accesorios y hasta cortes de pelo es muy variada en fin es un gran juego

    It’s the second and last great game in the def jam series. It expands upon the old formula of Vendetta. The fighting system is easy to pick up and hard to master. If wrestling isn’t quite for you there’s also venues such as a cage, and even a fighting pit. I’ve had this game for the last 16 years and always kept buying it again after it broke from so much usage. This is a must play

    One of the best games of my Childhood. I never was a big fan of hip-hop, but I had such a great time playing this game with my brother and even after almost 20 years it still feels like a great and unique fighting game.

    Really great hip hop fighting game :) the only bad thing i could say about this game is that its a very expensive game especially on PS2 and hunting down a copy is gonna cost lots of money

(Of course, Vendetta was not nearly as good, and well thought as Fight for NY, but it still tried, and delivered a prototype for an idea.

    The story picks up    They all say Mortal Kombat 9 re-invented the fighting games with a proper storyline with actual cutscenes and character development, but more than ten years ago, DEF JAM Fight for NY had already done that, and before him, Vendetta. (Of course, Vendetta was not nearly as good, and well thought as Fight for NY, but it still tried, and delivered a prototype for an idea.

    The story picks up right after Vendetta, but you don't really have to play the previous game to get into this one, as they don't share many important plot-points.

    It took me around 5 hours to beat the campaign, and that includes me, shopping every time after a couple of fights.
    As a whole, the story mode is pretty satisfying, filled with fights and brutality among the characters. I do have only one problem with it, though, specifically during it's second half, as you have to re-take every turf back for Crow (Snoop Dogg, the villain), going up against your brothers for a pretty stupid reason if you ask me; it didn't have to go that way - it was poorly executed. The re-taking of the turfs fill another hour of gameplay, or so.

    This game is filled with content, and basically has almost everything a fighter title should;

    Plenty of stages, characters to choose, and a good variety of modes. There's also a fair incentive to replay the story mode, such as being able to try different mixes of fighting styles.

    DEF JAM Fight for NY was ahead of it's time, and it STILL holds up to this year and day; it's gameplay still rocks!

    It should satisfy your thirst for some bare-knuckled action.

    Definitely fun, for those of us that aren't into WWE, or the like. The cohesion of the story is a good bit flimsy,but the gameplay is solid. Yep, it does the stereotypical video game difficulty spike, if you're blowing through it too easily, but still fun.

A fighting game with the crowds used as a weapon or a hazard, Satisfying environmental takedowns, and best of all it has one of the most brutal and painful Blazing Moves that are so unbelievable to look at and completely over theOne of the most excellent hip-hop-influenced fighting ever made. Def Jam Fight For NY is something that we have never seen before and that we have always needed. A fighting game with the crowds used as a weapon or a hazard, Satisfying environmental takedowns, and best of all it has one of the most brutal and painful Blazing Moves that are so unbelievable to look at and completely over the top and the best part in this game is character creation.

    But the weapons feel a little weirdly handled because they did not do takedowns and have little damage counts. However, this game did not stop becoming one of the best.

    The cast in Def Jam was really good and so is the story with their selves as alternate Def Jam Fight personas. While some really felt missing like Jervis and Starks.

    I spent so many hours playing this by myself and with friends. I created so many characters and beat the main story mode using so many different kinds of combat style, basically tried absolutely everything this game had to offer... and keep coming back for more. It's a 10 for me, just a masterpiece.

    The gameplay is marred by the unforgiving AI that brutally destroys you whenever you gain just the slightest advantage. With that being said, Def Jam is at times more stressful than fun to play.
