    There's a fine line between graphic artistry and immaturity, and while Alter Echo makes an attempt at the former, it probably falls into the latter. The hues are creative enough, and the faux-naturelle structures suitably curled and alien but perhaps the real problem is that a world made from plastic would look as dull as it sounds.     Movement is achieved by moving using a massively cut down version of Dance Dance Revolution (press buttons on cue) that if done correctly results in a Manga-esque cut scene of destruction. Effectively then, Time Dilation is an elaborate smart bomb. Like its name implies this game is merely a varied echo of what once was original.

    It’s as if the guys at Outrage struck upon innovative gameplay ideas but they just couldn’t mould a good game around them.

    What we’re left with is a good stab at innovation marred by hopelessly dated level design and short (you can beat it in 10 hours), repetitive gameplay. You get the feeling that Alter Echo could have been much more.

    The game is very fun.I played it on the PS3 via the PS2 classic emulation.The Story is very interesting,the combat is also on a very goodThe game is very fun.I played it on the PS3 via the PS2 classic emulation.The Story is very interesting,the combat is also on a very good level.I want to give it a higher score,but the controls are not good(maybe its just me),the invert option seemed to not working for me and some performance issues steal some of the gameplay fun.… Full Review »

Bad games are one thing--they have the potential to be funny--but mediocre games just have meh structure, meh stories, meh characters, and meh gameplay. If you stumble upon it for less than $10 at the game store then go ahead and pick it up. But it's only worth going out of your way to find it if you're a PS2 game collector.… Full Review »
