HarrisonY.Mar 4, 2004Sure its got its good moments, but At times the missions seem to jump from easy, to hard, then easy again the number of planes you can fly is enjoyable...giving you a bit of an urge to buy the nect plane, check out how it handles and see the new cockpit but it needs a bit more improvment in the difficulty department, even at the end it leaves you a tad bored.

RobertoR.Feb 15, 2004This game is very good. Regardless of the graphics, the gameplay and the storyline is very compelling.

W.RoyalOct 26, 2004The only redeming quality of this game is the amount of planes that are rendered and flyable. The Dogfights are lousy, and the game chatter while in the air is annoying and pointless. This is definitely a title to rent not to buy.

Most combat objectives are immediately recognizable to anyone who's logged a few hours in either "Ace Combat" or "Airforce Delta". Not that htis is really a bad thing, because ultimately, the sci-fi story and design is sufficiently compelling. [Mar 2004, p.88]

It's not nearly as good as "Ace Combat 4," but it's enjoyable enough to tide you over until the next Ace Combat game.
-
Its biggest flaw is that the dogfights that are nominally its focus are satisfying and will keep you engaged, but escort, bombing, and recon missions are a lot more fun.
