    Single player is lacking but the multiplayer is fast paced fun!

    i cannot express the disappointment i feel with this game. In the game you have no freedom. they give you an assignment and thats all yiou can do. no exploration like in Vice City, no hidden items, nada. you switch from "gangster" to "cop" so quickly you have no time to develop an allegence with the character. i bought this game for 55 bucks and i feel it was a waste, i could have gotten i cannot express the disappointment i feel with this game.     I always thought this: games that cause controversies were worth playing. 25 to Life proved me wrong. Then again, if you can go online, you might want to check this out.

    this game will blow all the grand theft aoutos out of the park for good ,,i will do any thing to get this game i hope this game hurrys up and comes out ,,but one thing i would change is not being able to rape people,,please take my thoughtsand opinions under consideration,,and i give you full permision to do what ever u please with my name and opinion

    Great game, a hell of alot better then socum. if you like grand theft auto gangster type games. and socum controls well this is the game for you. It has poor offline just like socum. But is great online. Highly Recommended.

    this is a true crime new york city rip off that failed miserbly the controls are hard the graphics arent that great although it playable but not very fun better luck next time on a true crimy new york city rip off

    This game is the worst thing to ever hit the streets. If you want to buy an expensive frisbee, by all means go out and grab yourself a copy. But if you are conciencious about your money, I suggest you avoid this and spend it on actual guns and go out in real life and shoot real people, as that would be more fun then this monstosity.

    25 to Life is a lifeless, unappealing drab shooter which is below being called a "GTA clone". Short game, busted AI, and unoriginal storyline will make you pistol whip Eidos for making this.

    its online will hopefully get better once they fix the servers, but single player was boring and they should come out with another game like it but bigger maps.

    This game is not very good. I rented and beat it in a couple of days. The controls are pretty weird and the story is alright. I dont recommend buying it, but go rent it and beat it if you need a quick game.

    This game has good graghics if you have a big screen tv not an 10 inch tv you can't see any thang and talk about hard to beat Im got on the first mission and I barly beat IT!

    I think it was good. The single player is addmittedly short so that didn't impress me (play it to get the things for online). Its' online though was really good, and I enjoy going online on it.

    25 to Life is not at all a bad game. However there are some things that hurts it as a potential. the number one problem is the disconection issue with the games servers. It still has some glitches online that can be fixed with a patch.

    I have to admit I'm a bit astonished this games rating come in between 39 and 51. To me this rating means the game is severely broken, stuff like gamebreaking bugs or controls that are so clunky they disallow functional gameplay. I've played many such games and I don't see those qualities in this game. In fact, I see some good development. As for gameplay i found the gameplay at least as good as many other titles released not in stinker territory. In fact I rather enjoyed this game as an arcade shooter. Speaking of linear gameplay I found there were options and routes in this gameplay to not make it totally linear. After playing the game I went back to check YouTube walkthroughs and noticed each player kinda choose different styles to proceed through a level. I had fun with the game and enjoyed the atmosphere of the game. Older games have a certain charm and not so politically correct and that's refreshing mostly if it doesn't go too far. The game is rather short but I could also say that of almost all games from 2006 and thereabouts. I imagine back in the day graphics were terrible but with my component cables and gaming monitor it's good enough to my liking today. I feel the shortfalls of this game are made up in other areas. You can ace the gameplay or mess up and different things happen depending. Not sure gamers back in the day paid attention to these subtleties. It's one reason I like max payne 2 so much. Music, tbh the music from these older games really do fit in nicely. Nowadays it's all so generic. There are four or more difficulty settings so any skill level can just play this or be super challenged. I don't know I see a lot of good features in this game and it's very playable I'm not sure why there was such disgust in this game. I'd guess it's a factor of paying full price and or it came out as a competitor to something better but was the same launch price. Neither of these factors played into my gaming scenario and I have to say I had a fun time with this game. Not going to blow anyone away but I still can't imagine it deserving the scores it received. As I've mentioned I've given 5/10's to what I feel are games much more unplayable.… Expand

    15 years later and imma still say it now.
    This game may was short, it may was low budget but damn that **** holds a special place in all the games I've played.
    Graphics were really pathetic if you compared it to games from the same year like Saints Row or even GTA San Andreas, which is in fact 2 years older. Guns however were amazing. I love how they used real world gun designs but only    15 years later and imma still say it now.

    Guns however were amazing. I love how they used real world gun designs but only changed the name of it back then. No matter how fake the gunshot sounds are, they probably are the best I have ever heard, I will never forget the sawn off shotgun sound of 25 to life, that haunts my dreams lol.
    Now, game was very short but interesting how the made you play 3 characters to see 3 different kind of stories, I wonder if Rockstar was inspired a bit by this game when it comes to GTA Vs 3 characters? Game was however really short, if you rush it youll have it through in like an hour or two. Even if you play on hard and have to watch your step, it's still way too easy and fast to get through.
    I heard the MP was great, though I have no clue. Back in 2006 when I played this I was 10 and had no clue about MP (thankfully). Now I am playing the PC version and it's the exact same as I remembered it. Good times.    … Expand

    Nostalgia i played this game back in 2010 on ps2 but it sucked. gameplay and graphics and ai are really bad
