The graphics weren't cutting edge, the development was rushed and the game was a grind. And yet it had something, which no other game had. And you can't really describe that something. Maybe it boiled down to the cartoonish art style. The detailed textures and saturated world. Maybe it was the many random (very random) things that you would encounter along your journeys. Like a mob that does random things or a map detail that has no place in being there. Maybe it was the friends that you made or enemies that you hated. Or maybe it's just pure nostalgia. Whatever it was, it kept drawing me back into game to experience it again and again. But unfortunately igg bought the license for it, developed it for like less than a year and then left it to decay and die and eventually closed it down. So what's one to do to if one wants to play this game? Note: this is not an advertisement. Since you can't play it officially on igg anymore I want to give you some options on where you can play this game. One official source that is left is on Onwind Digital Co., Ltd official platform. The con to this is that the game is entirely in chinese localisation and non chinese ips get banned. The pros are that it's still fairly active with chinese playerbase and it has been updated (though i don't know how often it's updated). Another option is to find a private server. There exsist private servers such as New-Zu-Online or Myzuko though they have a tendency to pop up and close down once it's no longer profitable. In turn wiping the player data and resetting it. They don't really do updates as well, just initially restrict content and then make it available giving an illusion of updates. Probably the best option you have is Gods of Zushin. They bought the license from Onwind Digital Co., Ltd and have been running for like 3 years (at the writing of this post) and have posted that they will never reset player data. And probably the most important thing to mention is that they do content updates and patches. If none of those options are to your liking you can always start your own private server. It isn't hard to find a zu online server and client and their source code alongside a bunch of other things related to the game if you look hard enough. You might find tutorials as well. If you want to experience the game you have options. In the end it wasn't that refined or popular but i ended up spending a large part of my childhood on it.…Full Review »
