The story catches you from the very beginning and you can't stop playing. Dark but with a lot of funny moments. A really enjoyable adventure, fully recommendable.

The story is interesting, but the puzzles are not so great. I haven't played the previous games of the franchise and don't intend to do, but I've played better adventure games than this one. I loved the photography of the game, though

Five Word Review: A marked improved over predecessor.
Favorite Thing: They took inspiration from the Sherlock Holmes games in their investigations, sizing up people and stringing together clues and items.
Least Favorite Thing: Pauline's voice acting. Even beyond that, the quality of her audio sounds, at times, remarkably lower than Johns. Playtime: ~ 8h Enjoyment: 7/10

Recommendation: Yes. Make sure to play the first one. The 'Origins' in the title is a bit misleading, this is both a prequel and sequel.

At the same level of its predecessor although, again, slightly lower to the quality that pendulo studios usually offer in its graphic adventures as runaway or hollywood monsters. In any case, recommended for lovers of the genre.

Pacing issues, unnecessary backtracking and some frustratingly complex puzzles mar a title that is well-written and holds a lot of charm. A competent game but one that isn't quite as good as its predecessor.

Some quite clever puzzles, a couple of collaborating characters and constant changes of scenery are enough to elevate Yesterday Origins above mediocrity. It’s a shame that its story is subpar and characters are rather shallow. [02/2017, p.42]

Origins' biggest issue is it's anything but original. [Jan 2017, p.81]
