Dungeons are beautiful once again (Halls of Valour and Black Rook Hold stand out for me the most. And that Vault of Wardens last quarter!), the world is beautiful once again, the encounters are surprisingly well-designed. Makes you wonder why the same team of developers have messed up so much before! Or maybe it's just the Legion theme brings the best out of Blizzard, ha-ha.
PvP progression feels a bit strange and it's not quite clear how exactly is it going to pan out in the future though and by the great roll of blizzard dice some specs are for piano-players again (holy paladin anybody?) while others are relegated to mashing 4 buttons on repeat (Beast Master hunters). But in these terms it's nothing new, pick any season and there will be stronger and weaker comps with varying degrees of difficulty playing.
But so far the expansion is nothing short of great. If you're in doubt, don't doubt, it's a great lot of fun.

    So far so good.
The only thing I worried is the artifact system , It maybe a problem when raid is open.because you cannot switch your spec easily, and not very friendly for some healer specs. So healers are rare in game.

Occasionally, they break the stale questing with something different. There are side quests that was borrowed from Guild Wars 2 that helps derail the player from the main path for a while. Legion also introduced level scaling, which was borrowed from Guild Wars 2. This allowed zones to be played in any order the player wanted instead of a defined route in previous expansions.

The environment designers did well creating the world and dungeon designs. The music in the game is still great, and the ambiance is great. The voice acting is half and half for me. It's obvious that Blizzard had limited amount of voice actors and I could start hearing the same voice actors in different parts of the expansion. I mention voice acting because there are a lot more cut-scenes in this expansion.

Followers are back in this expansion, but they do not feel like Garrisons from WoD. Followers feel like a fun side activity compared to being a requirement. The only time followers felt required was for the class missions for each class.

If you want to pvp only, I probably suggest you look for another game. The game took out pvp only gear and started making players rely on PvE. This means a player must PvE to get competent gear in PvP. Yes, this idea did smooth access for PvE players to PvP. However, now dedicated PvP players have to dedicate time into something they don't want to do. Classes are still unbalanced as I always expect from WoW.

The pruning in this expansion is unbelievable. A lot of complex classes were pruned because Blizzard felt the average player can't handle complex rotations and raid awareness at the same time. I have a hard time playing most DPS classes because they bore me to death without any complexity to them. I found it amazing how they simplified rotations and put RNG that ends up breaking the flow of some rotations for specific classes The pruning is also why the game is unbalanced in PvP.

World Quests are now the new dailies for the game. This opens when the player gets enough reputation for certain factions, and I like this idea. World Quests offer gear, follower resources, gold, and more. getting gear from World Quests gives an alternative way to get gear instead of spamming dungeons.

I love Legion. My score and frustration with the expansion however can summarized very quickly.

    Suramar rep grinding/gating.

That is all. They're creating the illusion of content by forcing tedium upon you to drag an already boring overfilled zone even worse.

Legion is looking incredibly promising so far: not only did it have great launch, has tons of content, but also patch 7.1 has already been announced with even more content, so let's hope this expansion does not suffer WoD's fate.

Legion is an ok expansion. Launch was much better than WoD since many players left and the devs design quests in a different way now to reduce lag. Levelling is extremely long and boring, while doing 100-110 you get no skills whatsoever. Your artifact is generic and gives you mostly damage boosts (WW monk impressions) and extremely forcing artifact power grind. Since WoW officially became Diablo 3 you can play the bounties from Diablo 3 in WoW:Legion and get rewarded with chests. The idea behind choosing any location to level up was good, but there were also a hidden mechanic so you can't get 110 if you don't finish all locations. Mobs also scale with your level and gear, so you never progress in Legion, you stay the same.
Interestingly enough, while leveling up mobs are extremely weak and die really fast, you can stack up to 10 mobs and one-shot them with WW monk's artifact. But right after you get 110, mobs get 2 times stronger and 2 mobs can now destroy you even though you have like 1 million HP. You you kind of progress, but backwards, you get weaker to regular mobs.

    Pros:
+ now you have two garrisons instead of one
+ you get your Diablo 3 bounties as an endgame content
+ good rejected WoD locations and designs
+ about 5-10 really interesting and funny quests
+ you have to feed NPC's now (realism improvements)
    + no lag
    Cons:
    - generic dungeons with extremely unfunny AOE action
    - failed idea behind artifacts and unnecessary artifact power grind
    - 100-110 with no skills whatsoever
    - obvious Illidan sacrifice to save Azeroth incoming

Overall: much better than WoD, but still incredibly boring and repetitive with little new content. Not disappointed cause I've taught myself never to expect anything from Blizzard after Diablo 3 launch, WoD, Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm Starcraft 2 mod.

Some of them feel a bit too trash heavy, while others feel about right. Raids are coming 9/20 so I can't answer about that. The new artifact quests and class halls are interesting and add flavor giving replay value for alts. Professions have been reworks and now have their own quest lines which adds flavor as well. How long the expac will keep is interested is up in the air. What I can say is that every time I log in I am still doing something new and not the same exact quests over and over again. I strongly recommend checking it out if you were ever a fan of WoW. For people who tried WoW before and didn't like it I don't know this expac will change their minds. It may if you were borderline. If you just flat out hate WoW then I'm not sure this will fix anything. Classes are back to being more unique from eachother. The graphics are better as well and as mentioned earlier the voice acting is good and adds to immersion. Expand

I miss the old talent system but it makes sense to remove it as it will be too complicated with the current level cap. The questing to 110 is still similar and it doesn't feel grindy.

As a hardcore pvp player I personally hate the current system. There is no pvp gear, everything is adjusted only to equipped ilvl (which is very minor, 1% per 10 ilvl) and players can't even adjust the equipment to focus on crit, mastery, versa, or haste. Every player with the same class, spec and ilvl have the exact same stats.

What is the point of MMORPG without progression? There is little meaning in doing BGs, especially the PvE oriented ones. In arenas it may make sense to normalize gears if all the classes are balanced. However with some classes being overpowered it only makes it way harder for less-than-optimal 2v2 or 3v3 team combinations to beat the odds against cookie-cutter combinations of the same rating.

On PvE content, the current available raid is easier and less punishing compared to old raids. So it is more accessible to more players yet less interesting. Also I have mixed feeling regarding the ilvl RNG system.

In the end I came back to WoW mainly for its PvP and I am disappointed with the current system.

With this expansion, Blizzard seems to have set out to return to a more classical WoW adding cinematics and much voice acting to create an overall more enjoyable questing experience.

Gone are the over designed, novelty zones of Cataclysm, Mists, or even Draenor. The quest design is absolutely fantastic for the most part and I found myself actually reading the quests and getting invested in the story. So, the quests really do guide the player along through the zone - but, in my opinion, the zones themselves do not seem as interesting as they could have been, which I have found surprising. Lot's of earth tones, not a lot of vertical design, not as much detail as some of the previous expansions....

The instances are well done in that they are directly linked to a zones end-story. Though, I found the instances to be rather long, some tedious and not as interesting as some of the expansions from the past. But, with that said - having the difficulty and abilities re-tuned and pruned seems to have made the combat a bit more punchy.

One of my favorite aspects of WoW has always been the environmental sound & music. The environmental sound is very well done, but I did notice that a lot of the music is reused, or lacking in areas.

Performance wise, I along with other forum posters have noticed stuttering and freezeups in Dalaran. Reducing graphics options does not seem to help. It's mildly irritating but I'm sure it will be worked out in future patched.

With all of the negatives out of the way, if you like WoW, as I do, you will enjoy yourself. This expansion is loaded with content, I'm not sure if the zones or instances are classics or will retain all that well over time but I do appreciate having more content and appreciate the new direction and am looking forward to seeing how the end game content and future patches pan out.

Legion leveling is fun but inferior to Warlords (it's all linear even though you can chose the order in which you do zones). Level Scaling mobs and quests to your character seems like a great deal until you realize, it's impossible to farm anything on your main or your alt until you hit max level and then do a ton of mythic dungeons.

The game revolves around artifact power now on the PvE side which is basically like Paragon levels in Diablo 3 + a connected talent tree to your weapon. But the leveling requirement for your weapon is so extreme that it is impossible to keep up your artifact weapon without playing an extreme amount of time.

Basically this game is a huge grind. There's not more content, it's all a grind hidden behind a diablo 3'esque incentive structure. If you like just burning your time as the game becomes more and more unfun, then this is the game for you.

But for me, as a person who enjoys raiding on multiple characters and learning how to play them; this is the most alt unfriendly-expansion since Wrath of the Lich King.

Legion is a huge regression. Not recommended.

-Same old 5 man PVE dungeons experience. And you need to grind even more now to get the loot, as bosses now drop only one item for only one player in your group. In one dungeon i didn't get any drop at all from 4 bosses.
    - Rares are no longer rares. It seems killing rares in the world is more beneficial than doing dungeons as they always drop blue item or better and now because new island is tiny and rares re-spawn after about a minute after they were killed you find rares every few minutes.
-Talent tree is simplified and partially replaced with the artifact points - and you have to grind a lot to get them

After the disappointment that was called Warlords of Draenor, I was expecting some improvements of that expansion and frankly I was afraid that they couldn't do it, despite being quite easy to improve a boring and annoying system

Thankfully not only they improved on the stuff that was original there (and by a large margin), but it surpassed WoD in many ways and even managed to introduce a lot of new ideas, more activities at endgame and an ongoing upgradeable system, which is the Artifact system. Oh and a new class too!

Let's start with the most notable thing: the Artifact is a weapon that grows with the class and it's specific for each specc, making each specc unique thanks to this weapon. After a short quest at 98 you'll receive your first artifact and until 102 you won't be able to switch it. Artifacts gets stronger thanks to AP (Artifact Points), given as rewards or if you explore Broken Isles, which makes the search more rewarding. The system itself is very similar to another game - FFXIV and their Relic System - but it's very flexible and with customizable passive skills. Infact each Artifact works like a mini talent tree with its own additional passives, making the weapon both stronger in stats and giving additional skills more power. It's incredibly flexible for what it is...but also very rigid at the same time.

For starters, you can have all the artifacts for all speccs but not the AP: this means that if you have a high level artifact with your main specc, your offspecc will be undeniably weaker and that's a fact, making offspecc and dual speccing (which was removed by the way) a complete waste of time. Secondly, at around rank 13 or 14 the AP required to level becomes incredibly bigger: I'm at only rank 14 or 15 and I need well above 10k AP for one rank. You can have boosts in the AP received sure, but it's still annoying and considering that the max rank is 34, you'll have a lot of grind to make it worth it.

Not that's an entirely bad thing mind you!

In addition, the artifact presence means that you won't find any new weapons...which also means no transmog for weapons at all: you only get relics to put in 3 slots and that's it. As much as I like the idea of artifacts being the only weapon, I wish for more weapon for transmog purposes. Overall though, the Artifact is a solid addition and I wish for more of it in the next expansion too!

Moving forward, they revamped the daily quests once again. Yes sadly there's still "garrisons" dailies but thankfully they serve less of a purpose now and are mostly used for bonuses and your class campaign, which is essential for unlocking the final slot and more allies (much less than before). However the biggest addition is surely the world quests, which are daily quests that changes every x hours and give you all sorts of rewards: from loot to resources and etc. Even professions are much better, as they're gated behind quests and will force you to travel around the broken isles to complete them, plus you can start them at level 1 too!

Of course you have the usual dungeons: we have heroics, mythics and even mythic +, working to something similar to Diablo's GR...or so I heard. I haven't had the chance to try them but they give you good loot and are essentially mini raids, as their loot is weekly locked too. And for what I was told, the harder it gets the better the rewards.

And we have also Demon Hunters, which are the only class with 2 speccs: Tank and dps. They're pretty strong and more agile than any other class, as they can glide and even double jump. Unfortunately they're only available for Night elves and blood elves so if you have a grudge against those two races, you're going to be left in the dust.

I might talk more but I want to say this: the expansion is truely great. I had a lot of fun levelling two classes to 110, and I'm going to level a third eventually too. The story is amazing and very upsetting, as many vital and important characters seems to be dying and the world itself looks concerning about the Legion's threat (at least it's what I see in the broken isles that is). The maps are bigger (although we have less zones than before) and Suramar is quite a beautiful city, even though less to...engage.

But with that said, I only recommend this expansion for those who are still wanting to playing it, because for those who don't...this game won't really do much.

I love Legion yet I cannot continue playing it: I've been playing since Vanilla and even if the game is fun, the game's core remains overall the same. Yes a lot has changed, but it's still WoW and even with so much stuff to do, I just have a sense of Deja vu that forces me to look elsewhere.

So if you're new or are tireless of WoW, check it out.
If you're old and are curious again, check it out. But don't feel bad if you have a sense of exhaustion on your back.

The fan base gets nothing for 912839128391283$ that they gave to Blizzard (the company that owns the game). It takes too much time and effort to get to levels where you would be eligible for PvP, arguably the only good thing about the game. You need to invest years of your time to be able to test all the classes and races, to get good at this aspect of the game. There's so many games around that are better in every single aspect and there are too many games that were influenced by WoW (it being the garbage that it is), so we could have had even more good games if WoW was never made.

The graphics were bad even back when it was made, let alone now, 12 years after. I can't believe this game takes 40GB HDD space and that you actually need to pay big money to play it.

It needs to be boycotted, erased, banned.

After lookingI have always loved these games and enjoyed every expansion they're released, aside from Cataclysm because I quit playing shortly after WotLK and didn't come back until after the Draenor release, but I've run into some pretty major bugs with the Legion quest line. Yes, this is expected due to it being a brand new expansion, but they're not unreported or hard-to-notice bugs. After looking into them, I realized that a large number of people had been reporting the exact same bugs since the release of the Legion Alpha related to region phasing issues (I'm pretty sure that's all it is but it's hard to tell: Deadwind Pass just has zero NPC/mob population and therefore the story/quest line can't be continued). Keep in mind, I have not played the expansion with any character besides an Affliction Warlock because as I understand, all classes and specializations will have different quest lines, so if you're not playing that setup or just get lucky, it may not even be an issue. But seeing as these bugs have been present for months on end and reported by hundreds of players on multiple forums and websites, it seems like something the developers should have very easily been able to see and fix before the full launch. Maybe they'll be fixed tonight when I try again, maybe another day, maybe a week, but regardless the fact that the game launched with some players not even being able to access the new content on a game where you pay monthly to play, seems rotten. I mean, say the Witcher 3 or some other AAA title was released and you could only play it for literally 10 minutes before hitting a bug making you unable to continue to new areas and story content, and then factor in every day that passes is another day you're paying to play: taking even a few days to fix those bugs would be very angering for players and irresponsible on the part of the developers.

If you didn't start playing the game yet, disregard this salty review and just wait a couple more days to begin. If you did start, well I hope your experience is going better than some of ours. Overall though, I still love World of Warcraft and have been a fan since vanilla, so... 6/10 until they fix the bugs.

I suppose though, to add to this a general review of the game and play-style, all of WoW is pretty grindy once you hit max level but up to then it's pretty seamless, smooth, and only repetitive if you're not that much of a(n) MMO fan, and even then it seems like it would tough to call repetitive unless you consider killing things repetitive. I'm not sure about this patch as of yet, but the artifact weapon system and class order halls seem like they will at least somewhat ease the normal gear grind, until you max out those too. Personally I enjoy this type of grind, but some people might not. Depends on your play-style preference. WoW isn't for everyone, and while I may take breaks from it at times, I always end up coming back to it eventually. It can be played both casually and hardcore, but I enjoy it for the casual side. Always something to do and doesn't require constant attention, so for fellow parents or people who have responsibilities, it's easy to just walk away from and come back to providing you don't AFK in a volcano or something. If it didn't have the current, basically game-breaking bugs I'm experiencing, I'd give it a 10/10.

Great game compared to the previous expansion. There is a new class, and some new way to do daily quest, but instead of daily quest they are world quest, still get repetitive after a while, but that is just the way the game plays out. If you have any interest at all in the world of warcraft games this shouldn't be missed.

I have been playing this game since the middle of Wrath of the Lich King and can tell you that since that time, there has never been an expansion as fun as Legion. I am going to break this review down into a few Criteria. The first will be questing, followed by raiding and dungeons, next will be PvP, after that professions, and finally the new class.

    QUESTING:
I love to start with the questing because when i started this game, questing was where i spent the majority of my time playing, the feeling of hitting a higher level and unlocking new abilities is something magical. You get a feeling of accomplishment and you know that you are getting better at the game. In this expansion, Legion, Blizzard has really brought back that feeling of progression with the ability to pick which zone you want to start in and that you have one weapon that you slowly upgrade, even after you have completed every zone's questing, you still have plenty of work to do on your weapon.

    RAIDING AND DUNGEONS:
I have played the dungeons from legion and they have a lot of new and unique mechanics built in to them and the feel of the dungeons is very different from that of Pandaria where every dungeon had he same theme. The only raid wing that is currently out has a very unique feel with a dark tone to it and it gives the players choices in the order they wish to complete it.

    PvP:
Player versus Player content has gotten sort of stale in recent times which is why the Legion revamp was much welcomed. I have yet to try the new prestige system, but i have heard great things about the new abilities you unlock and the return of World PvP is much welcomed for those of us who play on PvP servers.

    PROFESSIONS:
In Warlords of Draenor, professions became a stale chore that had virtually no point and no value because all the materials were handed to you and all you were required to do was spend 2 minuets to grab them and then log on daily to deal with your daily cool downs. In the newest expansion, you must craft things, farm the materials and do mini games and sub quests to advance your skill in a profession making them actually enjoyable and profitable to do.

    DEMON HUNTER CLASS:
This is my favorite part of the new expansion. This was the first thing that i tried out and I absolutely love it. All of the class specific quests and the play of the class in general. I love the idea of playing a tank with a low armor spec, but a high dodge chance and a high amount of self healing and sustain, or a dps spec that does a lot of aoe damage, and can turn that large amount of damages into healing and power up other abilities while also packing insane mobility makes it a crazy class.

    CONCLUSION:
In conclusion this expansion is my favorite of every WoW expansion since Wrath and i believe this is just what Blizzard needed to revamp the game, whether you are a casual MMORPG player or a committed raider like I am you will have a blast with this game. The only reason there are only 9 stars from my review is because i haven't had a chance to review the rest of the raid wings, but I will update my review as they are released.

This game took me by surprise. The most popular MMORPG in history with millions upon millions of players was supposed to be entertaining and shocking. This was not the case. The game is an eternal grind for useless gear and levels.

    Let me explain.

As you level up you begin to receive less and less loot. This should be normal in any MMO. However, the PVP system is built around having all players equalized with the new "Military Priorities" perk that levels out all players on the battlefield. Yes, most could consider this only fair to keep veterans honest and help new players excel or at least try to.

My deduction is that if you want to play a leveled out game with max characters, head to any moba. SMITE, league of legends, even heroes of the storm is like picking out a max level world of warcraft character and duking it out on an even playing field.

World of warcraft is supposed to reward you for your grind and hard work, but all you end up getting is an even playing field where one team may or may not have healers, or decent dps. The endgame is basically luck and hoping your team has some semblence of cooperation.

The game has lost its touch and I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes free to play by 2020 because the hype and money income from Hearthstone, Overwatch, and heroes of the storm will die down. I'm sure World of Warcraft has a negative net income.

I give WoW a 3/10. The graphics are nice, it has unique classes, and sometimes it can be quite a joy to play. But after playing around 15 hours you will start to think: "what am I doing playing this game"? as you queue up for another useless round of PvP.

The game itself is too much based around Raiding. Best gear, Sets etc. only in raids and only there. Nothing comparable to these in any other place in the game.

PvP... is in the WORST state ever since 12 years. It has the LOWEST participation in pvp since ever. It is plain HORRIBLE. WoD had bad PvP, and most players thought it can not be worse in next expansion, guess what.. Legion came out and it IS even worse than WoD! Blizzarc cleary shows that they do not care in the slightest about PvP and their players. They want it ti die, it seems.

The Story could be ok, when it wouldn't be dragged out like CRAZY. I mean you play like 2 different expansions to run after one Boss and finally kill him. Then out of a sudden whole Planets appear etc. It sometimes doesn't fit the whole WoW style and just doesn't make sense at all.

WoW Legion at the end is like Diablo, more so than Diablo itself should be. And thats thanks to developers and designers which came over to WoW team from the Diablo team, after the fiasco that Diablo 3 was. Now they destroy WoW... it is really a shame when you think about how good Vanilla, TBC, WOTLK was. Maybe even MoP too.

The Broken Isles themselves were phenomenal, filled with story and gorgeously realized. Suramar in particular is another remarkable achievement. The entire zone is packed with story and things to do, that all tie together into an amazing journey once you hit max level. It has already become a talking point for Blizzard, like the phenomenal story progression in Escalation, patch 5.1 - and just like 5.1, Blizz has repeatedly revealed that they have no idea what made Suramar so successful.

And then 7.3 was the biggest patch ever, packed to bursting with unbelievably cool story moments.

Legion was incredible. It's sad to look back now, and realize how little Blizzard learned. But I'm grateful we got it all.

People helping one another when questing like the good old times. I love how they crafted the world. The storylines you follow while in the leveling up process are brilliant they come with cinematics too, This is a first for Wow. At this point in the game i felt like wow has changed for the better, revolutionised, until you finish the story lines for each area...

Even when you hit cap in late game level 110 things still don't go downhill, theres area quests that keep you occupied and you can help one another and you get gear from this. The item level system is more forgiving this way. The raids are challanging and exciting. These are the pros.

Now the cons. To fly in the legion world requires a huge grind of an achivement. without spoiling it they made it in such a way that your doing mindless boring tasks everyday for ages to a point until it turns into a chore. I rather do chores at work to get paid over time, then do boring mindless repeptative task and pay them! ( 3 months in by the way)

Firstly you have to complete the storylines and the last one is terrible. You can only do so many quests before you have to actually grind rep to unlock these quests for the flying achievement. They do this to boost monthly subscriptions and thats not the only problem. They made the area of the final storyline questing place such a way, it wastes your time and your money.

The drops in raids are very low. I went on doing raids for a few weeks before getting a drop. Thats how bad it is. 1 drop per 1 boss a week even though you don't get a drop.

It seems like the game will be like this until it has a very small player base. I'm done with the game for good after 7 years of returning. No more i'v had enough.

If your looking to start World of Warcraft again after so long stay away, believe me its not worth your time or effort. Don't get me wrong the first bit of the leveling process is amazing. But it seems like a marketing tactic to draw you in with a solid start to make you believe the the game has changed. Well it has changed, for the worst. To be honest i cannot see the games future, and don't wish to be a part of it anymore.

Truly cannot believe the filth 0 scores. Legion had the best content, raids and dungeons in forever. There was so much to do in Legion it was ridiculous, and I loved every second of it. Mastered all 12 classes at the time, and all the class order halls! Some of the order halls were breathtaking visual treats like the Warrior and Druid.

Awesome zones and incredible soundtrack and end

Awesome zones and incredible soundtrack and end game content was plentiful. The raids and dungeons truly stood out the most in this expansion. Story was awesome. Ignore the 0's because that is reserved for WoD's and Shadowlands' terrible end game drought.

Legion gave us mythic+ which most people love to this day. Makes for endless grinding for gear, which is what MMO's are all about anyway.

Hands down the best expansion after the burning crusade, the launch experience was top tier, no lag, no server shutdown. The artifact weapons was the best addition to this game coming later with the mage tower that really test your skills for your class.

God awful game. I don't get how people like this game. The raids and gameplay are so dull. The graphics look like its still from 1999-2001ish. It should've gotten at least a small upgrade by now.
I've tried it probably 4 times for a month on and off since 2018. Final Fantasy XIV is superior in everyday.. And unlike blizzard. Square enix isn't known to s3xually harassing their employees.

Did you know that the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has a free trial, and includes the entirety of A Realm Reborn AND the award-winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 with no restrictions on playtime?

The Burning Legion coming back on Azeroth, just this is a catchy thing for me. Fighting demons with the legendary artifacts from WoW's greatest champion had no price for me. Really liked also the M+ system. Raids were cool, from EN to last one Antorus. Really a great expac. Only thing, maybe a bit too much farm for the artifact power.

I joined at the end of WoD so this was an expansion that I experienced fully from the start (not to the finish but very far), overall I had a lot of fun playing and the whole artifact system was also very nice

Great variety of activities. Most of all I liked the random battlegrounds. To participate in battles, you did not need to sit and dress the character in other content of the game. You came and started playing with your friends the content that suits you best.
The mechanics of the characters are magical, in no other addon of the game I have played with such a number of characters

Really mixed bag. The aesthetics are great, but you get three years of the same theme of demons, black rocks, and green lava. There is a tremendous drop in the musical quality of WoW coming off of the prior expansions. For the first time, I found most of the OST to be a dud. Classes were once again overhauled and gutted for no reason, when they were fine as is in prior expansions. There isReally mixed bag. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Pros
    - This was a return to the peak of Class Identity, with your own order hall, class campaign and even a mount!
    - Unlike popular opinion, I actually felt that artefact weapons were one of the best systems in modern WoW
    - Successfully ended / put on hold the majority of interesting story arcs, Illidan Sargeras, Kil'Jaeden, Varian, Gul'Dan, Xavius, Argus, The Legion. Velen, Tirion, Malfurion, Tyrande, Magni, The Titans.
    - The mage tower is one of the best content additions in WoW ever and I am baffled as to why there isn't more challenging solo content.
    - Each raid was Atleast A tier. Nighthold and Antorus were S tier.
    - The Transmog in Legion is still better than most of the Transmog in BFA, SL and DF.
    - Each dungeon was high quality. With the possible exception of Seat of the Triumvirate due to the sheer amount of trash mobs.
    - The cinematics were top quality.

    Cons
    - The Demon Hunter Class was unfortunately spawned from this expansion. Adhering to edgelord players and being low skill ceiling high skill floor balanced.
    - As with every expansion in WoW, the tuning was awful and ill-thought. Argus was too easy for an end boss, Kil'jaeden and Fallen Avatar were too hard. No spec felt closely tuned to one another.
    - A lot of add-on and weak-aura utilisation was formed from this expansion, Add-ons are what ruins WoW.
    - Legendary Acquisition felt awful, random drops doing any content and being time-gated is the last thing a player needs when they receive a legendary which is bad, as this meant their next could be weeks/months away.

One of the better expansions for World of Warcraft, has a fairly strong story for once. The whole MMO could have ended on a good note here.

Legion took me back to the times of World of Warcraft’s greatest splendor, to the era of The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King. It miraculously revived a game that was already dead to me. [11/2016, p.44]

An exhilarating return to Azeroth. World of Warcraft is as polished as ever and the newest expansion adds a few neat tweaks to the familiar formula. [Oct 2016]
