    Wonder Boy Returns is a great tribute to the original game with fresh mechanics and a lot of nostalgic charge.

The developer who made this has zero understanding or respect for the original game. I am a huge fan of the Wonder Boy series and 1st game and this game couldn’t be more disappointing. The level layouts and enemy placements are not the same as the original nor are they an improvement in any way. The artwork is no better than a low budget flash title and the audio is just lazy. To top it all off the controls are sloppy. You would think a remake would improve on the original, but this does not. They would have been far better off remastering the original. As it stands I’d rather play the original classic on mame than this. If you are a fan of the original AVOID, you will only be disappointed. CFK should be ashamed of themselves treating a classic IP in such a sloppy and lazy way. AVOID! You have been warned.… Full Review »
