BJ’s latest adventure is a wondrous exercise in how to tell a story, how to write a script, and how to shape characters that feel both human and superhuman simultaneously. It really is amazing that a big budget game like this got made at all. Thank goodness MachineGames got the chance – it’s one of this decade’s best.

MachineGames does it again - The New Order was terrific, and The New Colossus is pretty much the same level. The new Wolfenstein appeared in 2014 out of nowhere and became one of the best shooters ever. The sequel is very similar even though the "wow factor" isn't as evident. It is a joy to play such a big and well-made game that focuses only on single player. Bravo!

Shooter of the year! It plays great, looks spectacular and sounds amazing. What’s more, despite an apparent lack of seriousness it’s not afraid to bring up difficult subjects, mixing comedy and tragedy in a stunning way. It’s a ridiculously good game. [13/2017, p.30]
  4. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is one of the best first person shooter games so far and living proof that single player games are still alive and well.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a very good solo FPS (which is already a rarity in the current game market) with a good story and a great sense of humor peppered by intense gunfights.

I’m torn between calling Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus brave or merely unexpected. The core of The New Colossus remains as good as, and largely unchanged from, the earlier game. It’s great, explosive, and violent. The other half, so to speak, the heavy emphasis on story doesn’t drive the FPS experience so much as shift your focus into directions that FPS games don’t normally go. That’s not to say that FPS games don’t tell a story or even a complex story (Bioshock told an incredibly involved story and even explored the extrapolation of a Randian economics as a political movement), but they rarely (AFAIK never) attempt to tell a story so full of sadness and self-examination. The two parts sometimes fit well, sometimes less than well, and I think individual gamers will react very differently to the result.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus takes The New Order and multiplies everything tenfold (especially the silliness and the amount of cut-scenes) when it should just take the original and carefully build upon its foundation, smoothing its rough edges and offering the very best Wolfenstein game ever. The result is a FPS that's fun, but also one that doesn't really know what it wants to be.

Comparing it to the previous two games Wolfenstein The Old Blood and Wolfenstein The New Order it is the worst one.

But does it mean being the worst one out of let's say 6 games in total make you a complete unplayable piece of garbage? NO IT DOESN'T!!!

Reading the "Most Helpful" reviews, I see people from 2017 complaining about performance issues and bugs but when I played all 3 games back in 2021 this one seemed to perform the best for me actually.

I love the newly rebooted Wolfenstein franchise (excluding the fourth game). If you're thinking about playing this game for the first time, then first play the game and then read all the negative comments from those b1tches and decide for yourself.

Comentario: Diferente do New Orden, o jogo adotou uma narrativa mais descontraida, porém ainda sim leva a serio algus aspectos. Amei a Historia, e a gameplay foi melhorada mas ainda!

Pontos Negativados: -1.

Unfortunately it suffers from the same problems as the first game, then ramps those problems up to 11.

Just as you are getting into the swing of mowing down countless enemies, you are thrown into long cutscenes and a boring hub area where you have to fulfil pointless tasks and endure dreadfully cringe-inducing dialogue segments. It really slows the game down and just seems like terrible pacing.

I'm sure it's fine if you just skip all of that, it's just a shame that it's half of the game.
