Feb 13, 2023Whateverland is a simple point-and-click adventure that is just fun; though the complexity might be a bit bothersome for others, I found it a charming and enjoyable aspect.

Oct 6, 2022Despite Bell and Bones and the occasional bug, Whateverland does have its charms - the game’s setting is certainly unique. There are some interesting characters inhabiting Whateverland and some of the puzzles are fun to work through, but that’s not consistent throughout the game. The burglary path puzzles can be rather frustrating at times. Point-and-clickers will probably be more forgiving of the game’s rough patches given the dearth of games in this genre these days, but others may not find the motivation to press on through to the end.

Sep 22, 2022Whateverland is an enjoyable Point and Click adventure, if a little rushed. The mini-games are a welcomed alternative to the standard gameplay loops, helping to keep things feeling fresh and new. The Burton-esque visual designs expertly capture the extraterrestrial ambiance, which is similarly matched with the games OST. While the overarching story and character narratives are pleasant, they suffer from a lack of development, occasionally resulting in a flat experience. Personally, I can offer a light recommendation to seek this one out.
