WARSHIFT is a strange creature, half RTS and half TPS, made only by one person, Cyril Megem. The mix works well but neither the strategy nor the shooting sections are perfect.

There are game play problems, bugs, and just bad design that just screams wtf.

    bugs
-there is this nasty one where your avatar cannot control at all in shooter mode, this will always happen, less a bug and more a problem that needs to be fixed
-instant kill hits, was covered in a recent patch fix; nope, and yes it breaks the game.
-in the missions at least you will encounter a couple of invincible enemies, not sure about multiplayer as I did not bother.

those were the prominent ones. Now onto some of the aspects that are personal pet peeves.

Whoever first started the over the shoulder view is down there in hell with the shaky cam guy. Blurry draw distance, that's my term for whatever dumb word they started using several years back; no option in the menu to turn it off; actually the menu and options is bare bones.

Onto the good. Although it plays like a DOTA RTS wanabe, the shooter aspects are fun; a lot of decent work went into the graphics, animations, effects. I won't call it a good game, but I will say it deserves a play, and it may likely improve over time, but this has had a long development cycle.
