Oct 17, 2013This game is too big! So much levels it's even bigger than Daikatana! Hours and hours and hours of gameplay. Beautiful and original locations. After a while it is getting too difficult so I start using Godmode. Still had fun! Levels are also very big and impressive!

TomWOct 13, 2003This is poor. Muddy, fuzzy textures and unresponsive controls can be forgiven, but on rails gameplay and finding the blue switch to open the (you guessed it) blue door is an archaic game mechanic. Its like half life and Goldeneye never happened (never mind Deus Ex or MOH). I thought this game was awful and I'm a huge 40k fan.

EdoardoDellaV.Nov 20, 2003Even with the good background of the Warhammer 40000 universe, the game cannot "capture" the player and lack of atmosphere. The graphic level is only standard and the view distance always near. Very poor sounds. Poor AI, the standard DOOM type game.

DanielDec 10, 2003Excellent and well done. great graphics, and lovely multiplayer. bad thing was...... no sound for people during gameplay, and no talking during multiplayer. damn. well, good FPS anyway and..... LONG LIVE THE TAU EMPIRE, HAHA

ColinN.Jan 12, 2004Great to see a 1st person Warhammer 40k game on the market, but the game is difficult to get running, most upto date drivers for audio and graphics are a must and you need the game patches. As a 40k fan I still enjoyed it. When, oh when, will someone realise that the rich and wonderful 40k world is just prime for someone to make a film. It might even challenge Lord of the Rings??

JackoM.Nov 3, 2007The thing is that this game provides all the things you need for a decent FPS, it just doesn't have much of the stuff that makes it brilliant. That said, some parts of the gamecreated a great atmosphere and I feel that the critics are far too used to top end games. For AUS$20 this is a great get.

T.S.Nov 15, 2003It's fun in the beginning and some other parts ,but gets really annoying and boring later. The creators could have done better and I was expecting more.

ScottP.Dec 10, 2003Looks really cool. but is very unplayble. I was really hopeing for better being a 40K buff. But in the end even fans will not like this game.

Nov 19, 2019After seeing cover of this game I bought it without any thinking.
Unfortunately overall experience with this game is mixed.
Major flaw is unsatisfying shooting mechanics and boring story. -
Nov 15, 2019Granted it was the first (and for o long time the only) first-person shooter set in the world of Warhammer 40 000, I kind of loved it. But it's not a great game, at times it feels dull and uninspired. So if you're not a hardcore Warhammer 40 000 fan, just skip it.

This cheap PlayStation 2 port carries none of the punch that can be found in the tabletop game due to a positively antediluvian design that sees you running down an endless succession of corridors hunting for keys.

A disaster in far too many ways to count.
