Dynamics of development of the project in a good way, is progressing.
Much has been done since the start of the game, it's nice to see that it meets expectations.

First of all, Im not a fan of MMOs grinding and typical slow lock-on spell-on-cooldown gameplay. But Warframe is quite different and unique: the core gameplay is very dynamic fast paced action combining 3rd person shooter, melee fighting and magic-like abilities everything is realtime, fast, and requires some skill from a player. You go on various missions in up to 4 player teams to combat hordes of enemies that can rise in numbers and levels quickly providing you as much challenge as you can take.
The movement in this game is also great: you can do many trick jumps, run on wals and almost fly around if you know what you are doing. There is even stealth which is fun and useful if you want to play solo.
Now the addictive part is of course acquiring new weapons, classes (warframes) and rare mods that augument weapons and warframes. And believe me, there are so many things to get and to level up, some are hidden quite deep. There is quite a lot of grinding, but the process itself fun because the challenge escalates fast.
The game is honest free2play and you can unlock everything but if you want to keep everything you will have to buy inventory slots with platinum (which is bought for real money or traded for rare mods between players, so you don't really need to spend a dime if you are willing to grind).
The downside: it doesn't have a huge overworld that you can walk around and explore, like most other MMOs, just individual missions. Some things are still being polished and improved. Needs more variety in environments and missions.
The game is mostly PvE focused, there is PvP but its still in ongoing development.
Overall its a great game for everyone who loves action. intense horde combat and mmoarpg levelling and farming for loot.

I wouldn't mind seeing a story added to the game to compile more hours onto my log, but the game has still kept me playing with it for a couple months. The only other gripe I have is the maps tend to get repetitive after going through the same templates multiple times in a row, but at the same time it keeps on dragging me back as it does change every time you click a mission. Through all of the cons, Digital Extremes truly has crafted a wonderful, co-op based game that keeps you coming back after each update. Expand

Warframe can be simply put as awesome. Though it has its flaws, it is still a game that I found to be worth my time playing it. When I first discovered warframe, it was on update 8. I didn't think much of it at the time because it looked like a simple brawler. I began playing a lot in update 9 and got hooked. I didn't think much of it at the time because it looked like a simple brawler. I began playing a lot in update 9 and got hooked. People have been criticizing this game for being Pay to Win (PtW), but in reality that is far from the truth. What you don't see in these other reviews is patience. They would rather spend a bunch of money to get all of the content immediately, leaving all of their experience in repeating missions. The people that do this don't just sit down and enjoy all the aspects. they just want the good stuff fast. The game has a market where you can either but weapons and warframes using either platinum (Currency purchased with real money), or credits (money earned in game). Using credits, the player buys the blueprint of the specific item that they want. After purchasing the blueprint, the player then goes to the forge in the main menu to craft that item using credits and resources found in missions. After acquiring all the necessary resources for the blue print, the player then hits the craft button and waits for the item to finish. The amount of time it takes to craft an item varies by what the item is. All weapons typically take 12-24 hours to craft. If you don't want to wait that long, you can rush the process using platinum. I kinda like this system because it gives me an excuse to take a break after playing for a few hours.

Warframes are basically suits that have different abilities for every unique warframe. The embers fire based attacks are devastating to light weight targets. Loki hides in the shadows to take out his enemies without being noticed. Necros raises the dead. There are a lot more warframes. In order to get these you have to kill certain in-game bosses to acquire parts of the warframes. Each warframe has three parts (helmet, chassis, and systems). Once you have acquired the pieces (I forgot to mention that the parts drop as blueprints), you craft them in the forge. Each piece takes 12 hours, but don't worry you can craft them all separately and at the same time. once all of the pieces are crafted, you then buy the warframe blueprint off the market and craft it in the forge. Every warframe takes 3 days to craft. Now this is where some people have an issue. Many don't want to wait that long. that's where people start to go onto the market and buy everything with platinum. If you want to do that then go ahead, but don't give this game a bad review because you're impatient.

Prime weapons and warframes are more powerful, harder to get versions of their normal counterparts. The blueprints are found in the orokin void (accessed by keys that are found in defense missions as rewards). People that are new to the game don't know about it. So when they see things like the founders pack (no longer available), and prime access, they automatically jump to PtW. All prime warframes and weapons can be found with a lot of effort in the void.

Im not saying the developers haven't made mistakes in the development of this game. there are a lot of things that are not explained. First off there is the use of the forge. When I first started the game gave me a very small tutorial on how to use it and I was left confused. I don't know if it has changed since update 8, but im willing to bet they have made some improvements. or I could be wrong about that one. Another thing they don't explain much is the lore. I have been playing for almost 8 months and all I know is the grineer are taking over the solar system and only the tenno (you) can stop them. then there is the greedy courpus (forgot spelling) and the infested. They are trying to change this with the new codex system they just implemented.
Once final criticism is the recycling of missions. The missions are never the exact same. the game has a set amount of rooms it can work with. Its hard to explain but here we go. basically when you walk into a room there is a 99% percent chance you have been in that room before. That happens because the game generates missions with the same rooms, just in a different order. So you recognize everything, but its still not the same. For example. In a corpus mission you enter a hanger, you walk all the way through and enter a huge hallway. replay the mission! You may find that hanger and hallway again, but they wont be right next to each other again. In fact, one may not be in the mission at all or there may be a few rooms in between those two rooms. So one can argue that it is repetitive in nature but then again its not exactly the same every time.

There are plenty of enemies to fight and with the new damage system, there are plenty of ways to build your character to kill the enemies. There are a lot of weapons and warframes to chooses from so you wont get board, unless you buy all of them. I've exhausted my typing space...

This game is NOT Pay-To-Win, as most items in the game can be acquired easily with a small amount of time spent. The game encourages you to level up your gear and experiment with each kind, as this will give you Experience if you do, and halt your experience if you do not. Surprisingly, this is actually a good thing and actually enhances your experience. I have nothing against Multiplayer games, but....
This game's community, it saddens me.
Upon entering online mode you'll be greeting by about 300 people with differing opinions on how YOU should play. The thing is, just go with your instincts, they will not help you.
Playing actual missions in-game while online can either be fun or annoying,as occasionally you will be paired with an entire team with highly upgraded gear, that kills every enemy in sight before you can even catch up to them.
The crafting system is one of the only ones I've seen that doesn't anger me, and is easy to use and gather materials. (Also, as I've said, this game is NOOOT Pay-To-Win.)
It's good, there's a ton of moves and acrobatics you can perform. (Unless you're on multiplayer, where you will never use them.)
Over all, it's a great combat game, and one you should try out.

You can also fight across planets in our own solar system. The games basically ninjas in space. Sadly, like most other free-to-plays, it has a special currency (platinum) that you have to buy, and most of the equipment, armor, and weapons require said currency. Yes , there is money that you earn through missions and killing enemies, but it's only use is to buy blueprints for the armor and weapons, ext. Once you've acquired those blueprints, you then need to farm enemies and repeat missions to earn the supplies, and each planet has particular components for the blueprints. I'm stuck on this clan key I have to build. I need 31 more polymer bundles, so I do this one mission over and over for them. But after 5 times, I don't get a single one. And I could waste all of the platinum I received in the beginning for it, but it will only let me buy 300 of them. Oh, and you receive 50 platinum platinum in the beginning, but there is nothing that costs 50 platinum or less, besides a few trifles and things that regenerate automatically. Therefore, I think Warframe is just a bit over-average.

While Warframe may sound like a good idea the stages and fights are often repetitive and after a certain amount of time get old. I could never get into the game and the repetitiveness will, after a certain point, make you want to burn your PC just to be rid of the game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The kind of progress that Warframe proposes for a grinding game have really good points. First, you will find/buy/craft items that gain experience with you to a cap. Once these objects are maxed (And it doesn't take too long), you are incited to try a new one (Since the object doesn't grant you any XP) or reset the object's skill to zero, but the object become a little better in the process (but still lost his level). This process have a advantage that I value greatly : If you plays for some time and you want to introduce a friend to the game or you plays more or less than a friend and you don't want to wait for each other, you can, without running one or the other : if your friend is weaker, you can use lower rank items to keep the challenge at a nice level and still earn rewards without penalty. The gameplay stays mostly the same but once you get bored of a weapon, the game-flow gives you the opportuniy to change, as the normal course of play.

About the paid features, in my opinion, you can get a lot for your money (especially if you wait for an in-game discount). I think that items like warframes and weapons (that can be obtained without real money) costs a lot. But many cosmetics, very useful consumables (Like formas, catalysts and reactors) are really at a reasonable price.

The updates are coming at an incredible rate. The game art style is, in my opinion, beautiful and original.
Another really nice feature is Clans (Guilds) which can have Dojos (A buildable and customisable HQ for your clan). The price of dojo's items (like rooms and item researches) scale with the clan's size. It means a group of 4 active players can create it's own dojo and make it as nice as a large 100's occasionally-active members clan.

The only real problem I can think of is the ressources. When you start the game, it takes a painful moment before you can gather enough materials to craft your first 'not starter' weapon (or warframe). They remade the new player tutorial to give them at least a choice in starter weapons, which is nice. But later on, I fell that some ressources drop far more than what you need of them and others are on so precise locations that you are actually doing the mission only for the hope to find these mats, which may be the most annoying form of grind since you don't have a choice about how you want to spend your time to obtain it. Some ressources offers a level of choice, but other don't.

I've put around 200 hours into this game, and around $40, so keep that in mind when you read this review.

I'm really digging "Warfarm" er... "Grindframe" I mean Warframe. You have to be a really patient person for this game to be fun. I'll list some pros and cons: Pros: -A metric f**kton of weapons to choose from. Some, of course, are better than others, and some can barely be used.

I'm really digging "Warfarm" er... "Grindframe" I mean Warframe. You have to be a really patient person for this game to be fun. I'll list some pros and cons:

    Pros:
-A metric f**kton of weapons to choose from. Some, of course, are better than others, and some can barely be used. However, devs are VERY diligent and constantly trying to fix balancing issues.
-Lots of build/customization options. Eventually you find a warframe or two you really like and you stick with them.
-Lots of satisfaction. When you finally build that frame or weapon you've farmed hours for, you can't wait to dig in.
-Beautiful art direction/hella cool and original setting.
-Sick graphics. A few graphical glitches here and there and a few players some of the models look a bit ugly (cough Trinity cough cough), but that's just like, your opinion, man.
-Great character design; you don't see much of the story characters aside from the occasional cutscene and HUD display, but the voice acting is top-notch and really gets you immersed.
-Fantastic player base, old players are always there to help newbies and give tips and tricks. And the squad camaraderie is strong in this game; I've seen people go across entire maps in 15 seconds to revive someone, just 'cause they feel like being nice.
-Best of all, the developers are constantly on-point. I've never seen a dev team in a game so dedicated. There's updates every month at least, and it's not just a bugfix or something small, it's f**king huge, typically a whole new frame, some sort of new gameplay mechanic (syndicate factions being the most recent) and 2-3 new weapons and maps.

    Now for the bad stuff:

-Some minor glitches. Nothing really game-breaking, but you'll occasionally get stuck somewhere and it's annoying, or you won't switch weapons and it's annoying, or an ability won't work right. But these are pretty rare, the game itself feels very fluid and polished.
-A few tilesets are really awful. For example, there's an infested tileset that takes place in a crashed ship, so it's at a slant. While this looks cool af, it's a pain on your eyes and it's hard to navigate at times.
-Grind, grind, grind. The whole game is a grind. The purpose of Warframe is literally to play the same levels over and over until you get better gear, then playing harder levels over and over. Fortunately, there is some tileset variation to make this a bit easier, and sometimes it's just therapeutic to slice through legions of enemies, but it can still get boring sometimes.
-Enemies have really bad AI. They're just not smart. Which is OK because you're supposed to kill them en masse, but at the same time it detracts from the experience a bit.
-Not many enemy types. It can get dull seeing the same Grineer marine over and over and over. The devs are working on adding new enemies however--many enemies are currently placeholders for unique models.
-Some frames and weapons are better than others, and you'll see them a lot more. Seems like people are using Rhino and/or Boltor Prime in every damn mission. TBH this is almost a plus, because I like being a speshul snowflake and using weapons and frames nobody likes.
-In-game currency prices are ridiculous. Seriously. But this game is not buy-to-win, it's buy-to-not-grind. Most Platinum is spent on cosmetic options that don't add to gameplay. The one drawback I have is that for a frame or weapon to be most effective, you have to install an Orokin catalyst or reactor, which are extremely difficult to get without spending platinum. I think that's pretty lame.

Overall, I'm giving it an 8/10. Needs work and a bit more polish and level variation, but honestly it's the most enjoyable free game I've played on the Steam market. Definitely worth the download. You'll have a lot of fun, and it's still (somewhat) early access, having only been out for ~a year and a half.

"Repetitive" is a common complaint for Warframe, and there is truth to it. Thankfully it has a wonderful combation of flash and attitude that keeps me coming back, not to mention regular content updates.

Warframe has what I consider to be the best free-to-play economy in the gaming industry, one that doesn't leave you in the dust if you're unwilling to shell out hundreds of $$$.

but the helpful side of the community are always helpful, and Digital Extreme's community division are really doing their homework establishing connection with fans. other than that, the monetization in this game is gotta be one of the fairest i have seen so far.

First off it looks and runs great/smooth. I was very pleased when I started this game up and I still am. The art direction/style is beautiful. I really dig the universe this team has created. The level design is good, there are a lot of recycled rooms but i think thats due to the rather large levels. The maps texturing does not match the quality of the characters. Again I think its just the large maps and I am not saying that the terrain or any locations they have produced is bad.
There is A TON of content. The amount of missions, Warframes, weapons, and customization of said weapons/warframes is terrific. Color pallets are among the few things you can not unlock from in game blueprints and you only start with a small pallet. Anything you can not unlock can be purchased with "platinum," which is in game currency which you can purchase with your real money. You can unlock blueprints for warframes, weapons, items, companions, etc. They do take a long while to build which can bypassed by purchasing them if you just have to have it.
Looking at all the aspects of the game, I really enjoy this. I have a long list of games in my steam library that I have not even touched because of this game, new releases too. The dev team has some really great Ideas, they stream a few times every week showing off new features etc. The only thing that doesnt really stand out is the games music/score. I am not sure if there is a constant score or just ambiance and is not something that has bothered me either. Just thought i would throw that out there.

Its definitely something worth trying. Its free, its co-op, its ninjas, and most importantly fun.

2.) BUGS [ srsly though, no game is 100% stable ]
3.) Will make you sit your ass in front of the computer screen for long periods of time
4.) Not really good PVP but hey its a co-op...... but expect improvements
5.) Confusing start ..... Especially the early game.......
    .
But remember: In order to experience the full fun of this game ........ You gotta submit yourself to the game and then you'll truly have your fun then.........

    MMO-looter-shooter done right.
Should be an example for all the games in the genre and beyond the genre.

The game is somewhat repetitive, the grind is real. But you can't stop grinding because you always want the best equipment to defy the game.
The best community so far, and the dev team is so present that we know the personality of each one.

Can't say much more, you need to get in the game am play some hours to see.

Customize, Weaponize and Optimize a space samurai terminator mixed in with parkour elements, mods to increase abilities, lots of melee and ranged weapons, not to mention many types of missions, top notch.

good scifi mmo , with good gameplay, the problems are its major updates, its too large of a fun addictive world.

Sounds fun, looks promising, but diving into this game on 2017 as a beginner is just not a pleasant experience along with its clunky controls, outdated graphics, and awkward animations.

to be honest i thought ihad to shill out $59.99 for this game last game igot was fallout 4 why this game over dota well for one i honestly can't see much of anything without 4k or retina display so for visually challenged gamers(like me) who can barely see anything without 4k warframe has you covered and second is it a fun game to play idont know about other gamers inever really did liketo be honest i thought ihad to shill out $59.99 for this game last game igot was fallout 4 why this game over dota well for one i honestly can't see much of anything without 4k or retina display so for visually challenged gamers(like me) who can barely see anything without 4k warframe has you covered and second is it a fun game to play idont know about other gamers inever really did like pvp games i'm of a more pve kind of gamer the ingame ai is challenging specifically the rathuum executioners arena which almost had me pulling my hair out for like getting ganked in like every 6 seconds(until you get the hang of it) and finally its free to play dlc you can just download it so what more can you ask for a game there are however somethings you need to really enjoy this game one you would need someone to play with(youd probably get lonely in game without a friend hey that's what steam for right) the second thing is youd have to get some plats in game currency this isn't really a must it's more of like icing on the cake and finally if ganking or if your heavy into pvp this isn't really that pvp heavy as players here a more of the fallout kind of gamers looking for a space adventure so to wrap it up
pros things warframe got going for it
retina display 4k support(for visually challenged players like yours truly)
playability its honestly fun to play with your friends
free to play dlc(you just can't beat free to play)
    cons
unlike fallout 4 you'd probably get lonely ingame without a friend to play with
in game currency is kinda pricey(it's not really pricey however getting a hold of steam credits may not be that easy to get a hold of if your playing in washington state or colorado) if you live near a mall it's okay
grind wall for some items(prime items, primed mods, prime gear sometimes are behind grind walls) for me this is what really needs fixing as newbies can be turned off when they run into this wall after getting into the game and realizing someitems cant be had whatever you do is an issue with newbies to this game 8 out of 10 could have been 9 if the grind wall issue was fixed at launch or update~xoxo

I used to really love this game, now its gone way downhill, first of all its boring and i cant play a single game without the game loosing connection (my WiFi stays on and everything) the game just takes me back to the menu FOR NO REASON so i cant progress at all because it doesn't let you keep anything if you get kicked out of the game because warframe network sucks

Warframe is a shockingly polished free-to-play action game that boasts great visuals, gameplay, and replay value. Unfortunately, grinding and odd design choices bog down the late-game experience.

Play Warframe. Play it for more than a few hours, preferably with friends, and keep an open mind into doing some third-party research to straighten out some of these systems. Warframe takes so much of what makes ARPG’s addictive, and rounds it out with more polish and depth than most its competitors on the current games market. If the hooks aren’t deeply embedded by then, maybe something this in-depth isn’t for you.

The idea with the Tamagotchi-space-dogs is already absolutely amazing.
