    Game looks good, original, nice etc... great potential. But it has one big problem - and thats movement system & running - I just cant stand it

    It's a game you'll either love or hate. It has some serious gameplay issues and gets very repetitive and boring very quickly. Also, the game becomes unfairly difficult if you refuse to drink blood. Even when given the choice, the game constantly pushes you to be evil and feed on people. Traveling from one place to another is also tiring. Also, the fact that we have to keep everyone aliveIt's a game you'll either love or hate. It has some serious gameplay issues and gets very repetitive and boring very quickly. Also, the game becomes unfairly difficult if you refuse to drink blood. Even when given the choice, the game constantly pushes you to be evil and feed on people. Traveling from one place to another is also tiring. Also, the fact that we have to keep everyone alive in the towns gets annoying after a while. There aren't enough games about vampires, so if you like the concept, Vampyr is worth a chance, but even if you don't play it, you won't lose much.     Было сложно и больно, но очень хорошо прописанные персонажи и лор мотивировали дойти до финальных титров и добиться лучшей концовки.
    Есть свои спорные решения и недочёты, но как художественное произведение очень хорошее.

    Oyuna bir süre şans vermeye çalıştım, konusu ilgi çekici olsa da, dövüş mekanikleri, animasyonlar kötü ve en önemlisi oyun bana göre aşırı sıkıcı geldi. Yapmaya çalıştıkları insan ve kan kalitelerini arttırma fikri başarılı olsa da boylarını aşmış ve gereksiz olmuş.

    SHORZZ / Vampyr: Although it did not convey the story to me exactly, the way the game was played and the atmosphere were very good. The feeling of hitting made you feel like you were actually hitting the opponent. Boss fights were tense but enjoyable. It's a really high quality game you might want to try, I think it's worth a try.

    The game rewards you for maximizing the hints you gain before embracing. But. Random dialogue options lock off hints forever.

    I find this decision to be a strange design choice.

    However, it's entertaining despite this.

    For an AA game Vampyr is a pretty good one. It's not one of the greatest games but it's also not one of the worst games.

    Another thing that impressed me a lot when playing this game is how beautiful the enviroments are and especially how beautiful the interiors of the many places you visit are.

    The weakest point in my opinion and opions of many other people is the game's combat system. It's not as bad as some people make it out to be but sometimes it does feel kinda unbalanced and buggy.

    Why do I give this game a score of 8? Because there aren't many games quite like it where your actions and decisions do matter for the fate of NPC's you meet along your journey and I also really like a game with a great story.    … Expand

    Wonderful story, solid combat, fun to explore, some solidly challenging moments on hardest difficulty. Makes me want more vampire games. Choices matter.

    I really liked the atmosphere and setup. The visuals, voice acting and plot are quite good. The conversations with the NPCs are big part of the game and they done really well.
    Combat is ok, nothing special but fun enough, although can become repetitive.
    The game uses auto-save on every choice you do, which can be extremely frustrating, so I recommend to backup your saves (or use a mod)    I really liked the atmosphere and setup. The visuals, voice acting and plot are quite good. The conversations with the NPCs are big part of the game and they done really well.
    Combat is ok, nothing special but fun enough, although can become repetitive.

    What I didn't like about this game is the zoomed FOV without any option to increase it. FPS drops are also common in certain areas, even with good GPU (rtx 3070).

    I played on hardcode + civilians kill run, it's quite a pain in the a$$. enemies felt unbalanced (sometimes 9-10 levels above), and can kill in 1-2 hits.    … Expand

    Pros:
    -Almost everything, but i would say the plot. It's more gloomy than terrifying and i love that.
    -The atmosphere. Depressing and intense at the same time.
    -The OST.
    -The love story (Although it happens way too suddenly and it could have been told in a more progressive way).

    Cons:
    -The combat. Nothing new and a bit clunky.

    I thought that I was going to play a Souls-like game with vampyr powers but I find a detective game instead. The combat is just a small part of the game when going from point A to point B. But most of the time you're talking, searching and sneaking during your investigations.

    The characters, conversations and the super hard decisions are really well designed.     Because of the many conversations in the game and how important they are, a language translation would have been appreciated.
    But I need to say that original voice acting is great so I enjoyed it.

    In the other side combat is not the best ever but it's not so important in fact. At least out of the main bosses that are different and hard enough to make the combat interesting.

    Unless you want to be a sadistic and kill most of the NPCs the experience you get from other sources is really low.
    That's a big design issue because why are you creating fancy abilities that most of the players will not even see because they lack of experience points.

    The most annoying thing in the game is how you need to maintain the districts healthy by healing NPCs all around the map. Then you sleep, they're sick again, need to create more potions and so on... super annoying.    … Expand

    i never understood the mechanic, harder the level less the XP you earn and Vampyr on top of that put a soul like combat.. The boss fights are so lame sometime they do a 270 spin out of nowhere and slide through the arena and also this game also punishes you for being a good guy, like the level gaps are insane . The only good takeaway from this game is the story.

    Кровосисявый слэшер с RPG элементами на 30-35 часов (31-32) при подробном прохождении.

    Из минусов: - неочевидность диалоговой системы, даже больше, местами она провоцирует игрока выбрать ответ, который в итоге может привести к потери "подсказки" или к смерти ключевого персонажа, чем поднасрет в прохождении и повлияет на концовку, из разряда "хочешь сделать как лучше, но у игры иное    Кровосисявый слэшер с RPG элементами на 30-35 часов (31-32) при подробном прохождении.

    - казуальный баланс ресурсов, их невероятно много, не ощущается никакого survival элемента, хотя он вроде как должен быть.
    - отсутствие быстрого перемещения, пусть площадь игры и маленькая, есть скородки, но бектрекинг растягивает игру и никак её не красит.

    Из плюсов:
    - простенький, но интригующий своим повествованием сюжет с несколькими "вот это поворотами".
    - не плохо прописанные персонажи, одним хочется помочь, другими закусить.
    - хорошо передана атмосфера чумного лондона.
    - сносная музыка + к атмосфере.
    - достойный слэшер геймплей, если говорить о игре на геймпаде.
    - вариативность оружия и какой никакой апгрейд, прокачка персонажа (ветви развития), крафт шприцов. Все взаимосвязано, можно тестить разные билды.
    - реиграбельность, хотя бы на второе прохождение (если не лень скипать тонну диалогов).

    P.S. не хватает какого то хардкор сурвайвл режима для супер задротов с одной жизнью, где ресурсов минимум, прирост опыта за убийства персонажа минимальный, а последствия критические + вырезана способность на отхил, за счет этова система шприцов была бы более юзабилити, в оригинале надобности в шприцах практически нет.

    I had this game by sale on Epic games store and loved it for the first hours, despite sometimes it was quite scary. I wish more games about vampires in this style, as all others are quite like ****

    - I also like the graphics and despite the fact that the characters' faces look like they were from the game a few years ago, they MATCH this world, they are truly "movie-like"
    - The combat system without auto-tracking is great ((I RECOMMEND SWITCHING OFF IN OPTIONS BECAUSE IT IS ON BY default!)), I like it, it's original, although I lack diversity I think in character development and even more powers - most people do similar builds.
    - Inability to load previous savegame to fix a bad conversation (you have to think!)
    - The main character is very balanced, calm, empathic, inquisitive, easy to identify with him, although he can sometimes give the impression of predictable

    I buy few games in my life, but I bought this one! I am asking the developers not to screw up this potential, to release the second part of Vampyr 2, even better, and then Vampyr 3 to make it a SERIES! It is beautiful! Maybe something like The Witcher. Vampyr in an open world for over 100 hours of game ...

    Bads:
    - small influence of conversations
    - small impact of characters death on world changes
    - shooting in this game is irrevelant, it gives little, plus shotgun ammo (for me) did not store
    - two ways to go as a good vampire and a bad one
    - it is strange that we lose e.g. ammo and energy / blood when we are killed by the boss and autosave is loaded
    - no better highlighting of things to collect, which extends the time of entertainment for finding what to loot
    - medium readable map
    - skipping whole sentences in a conversation with a click of the mouse, instead of just thar are visible on screen

    For me Vampyr is GAME OF THE YEAR, and maybe many recent years ...

    For many it is too difficult, whether it is about the fight, or the complexity of conversations and the depth of the world, well, not everyone is intelligent and sensitive...

    Oh, I was a fan of other games of this studio like Mars War Logs or Technomancer - generally great games for the low budget that the developers had.

Когда приходишь в новый регион, на тебя вываливают ТОННЫ текста в разговорах с NPC. И это просто говорящие головы, без постановки, без анимации и без хоть чего-нибудь интересного.

    Геймплей напоминает соулслайки - тут есть выносливость, которая расходуется на удары, уклонения и спринт. Есть немножко способностей. Пытаясь комбинировать все это в бою вы будете частенько промахиваться по врагам (а стамина в это время будет стабильно расходоватся), потому что боевая система настроена неказисто и коряво.

    Унылейшие побочные задания. Ты их проходишь и проходишь, а они все не заканчиваются и не заканчиваются, а часы в игре идут и идут, а ты все ходишь по одним и тем же локациям одними и теми же тропами и ходишь, а интереснее все не становиться и не становиться...

    Игра не стоит внимания, не стоит того, чтобы в нее играть и мне жалко тех 23 часов, в течении которых я пытался заставить себя втянуться в эту игру, которые я на нее потратил.

    P.S. бросил эту игру уже второй раз    … Expand

    This is almost my ideal of what an RPG game should be like. Every npc is unique, all your actions have consequences and you have multiple ways of doing everything, the combat doesnt feel like it was an after thought even tough its pretty bad, on other "rpg" games it would be way worse considering the quality of everything else.

    I really would like to see this developer do another game like this but with a much bigger budget, being strict about those rules, no random nameless grunts the game doesnt treat as humans, no forced one way solution to anything, etc. But they seem happy doing those braindead walking simulators with forced propaganda to colorful hair dumb teenagers, a pity.    … Expand

    combat mechanisms are repetitive and clunky but on the other hand, the story is quite engaging and somehow it gives me Sherlock Holmes vibes.

Combat is "Ok" at best, almost all the weapons do the same thing but have different stats, the abilities are cool but by the time you get them you are already almost finished with the whole game. The enemies are straight up copied and pasted through the map, they all look and act the same and you will fight them a looot. This game also has a very bad case of artificial difficulty, they made all the enemies tanks with health and kill you in a few hits, while thier moves are very basic and easy to dodge and easy to memorize, same thing with the boss fights. The gameplay is also very repetitive.

    Story: The story wasnt bad really, but any choice you make for the story doesnt really affect it as much, but at least the overall story is interesting and has some good things going for it. The characters are also just "Ok" they werent amazing or special in any way, but they werent bad either.

    Sound: Pretty good, the music was nice and fitting through the whole game and the combat sounds werent bad.

    Graphics:Pretty good, the charcter designs and world buildings all look good and even the UI looks good.

    World design: Way too many "This door doesnt open from this side", and I hate that I couldnt find my way to some quests without using a guide to see where I needed to go.

    Fun: Yes you can have fun playing this game, but there are many games like it that are more worthy of your time and money.

    Super Atmosphäre, richtig schön düster, Kampfsystem könnte besser sein. Story auch geil.

    Vampyr can bewitch with its atmosphere and conquer with the skillful delivery of a quality story. However, the RPG and action parts didn´t succeed, and the intended main pull in the form of heavy choices, whom to kill and whom to let live, is also lost to the lack of impact of your action. Although the game can entertain in the end, it often disappoints instead.
