    So I was fortunate enough to make it into the closed beta and play throughout the entire beta. First things first is it's a skill based shooter, if you're bad at csgo and you don't want to practice to get better then you're going to hate this game. Now it also has abilities!!! WOW it's actually quite refreshing! Better with friends too. The game is pretttyyy well polished(still some bugs are being worked out), free, runs exceptionally well, and has pretty well laid out maps! The bads? Well some heroes are pretty strong but a shot to the head takes anyone out, and some people are upset about vanguard (with just reason) but it's no different from battleeye or easy bear and you can close it when you're not playing valorant anyways. Free is fun, get good and spend at least 15-30 minutes in the practice range for heaven's sake.… Expand

    No South African servers, so i couldn't try to play to the best of my ability even if I tried.Playing a counter strike type game with 200 ping against people sitting at 20 or 50 ping speaks for itself. The game is so different of any game i play... yes its like a son of league of legends and csgo, but you must be blind to say "valorant is a clon of csgo" for the next reasons i say that the game is so diferent: first of all, the abilities are so important in every round, if a team is not playng using the habilites, that team will lost Second of all: the gameplay is so different in every round, in the first round, we play slow, but in the second, is so frenetic
    Thirt point: the abilities are buyables changin everything you know about csgo and his shop
    And, the last one: the COMUNITY, everyone who play csgo will understand and its imposible hack valoran but in csgo its imposible to play and cant find a hacker

    Valorant fills a niche I've always wanted in a shooter. I come from siege I always hated csgo for its gunplay; however, valorants smart way of making ads a secondary fire mode is a great gateway into appreciating the shooting style without being as offputting as csgo is to new people.     Valorant is a solid game, don't get me wrong, the visuals are slick and the gun play feels great, however this game is bogged down by its violent and downright toxic community.

    Don't ever ask for help in a match or in the public Discord server, you will find little to no help there other than "git gud".     This game inherits the poor situation of being a game focused on an e-sport community and being a game by Riot, the guys who made such games like League of Legends, which attracts a community full of toxic players from the other games to that game.

    Not only that, but many issues regarding Valorant's invasive run-on-startup anti-cheat, cheaters in the games anyway despite the anti-cheat's best efforts, and many data privacy issues have arisen over the months before the launch.

    Valorant overall is a game that is amazing on all levels, except its community and the company behind it's intentions.    … Expand

    I've played CS:GO for a while (300 hours), but i didn't like this game, but when i've heard, that Valorant is coming, i wasn't so happy. I realised, that it's just CS with skills, BUT I liked that idea. I never played Riot games before (everything I've heard about this studio was, that they've made LoL).

    I've played CS:GO for a while (300 hours), but i didn't like this game, but when i've heard, that Valorant is coming, i wasn't so happy. I realised, that it's just CS with skills, BUT I liked that idea. I never played Riot games before (everything I've heard about this studio was, that they've made LoL).
    In the fifth day of Closed Beta i got the key and i started to play. First i was disappointed, cus the game was TOO raw. I also had some problems with Riot Vanguard, some of my games were lagging and I had to delete anticheat EVERY TIME i quit the Valorant (spoiler: Riot didn't fix this problem).
    When i said "raw", i meant, that the game didn't have death animation, 2007 graphic, bad bullet registration and more. I don't know, but i and my friends think the defense is stronger than attack becaus of the maps. They are very narrow, that why some heroes like Raze, Sage, Cypher are OP. The best example of it is Bind, you will often see, that the team will comeback in defense and lose in attack in the second half. The rating system was bad. You could get 2 rangs at the second place in 13-10 match and lose rang at the first place in 12-13 match.
    In the relise Riot fixed many problems, like shooting, some animations and bugs. I'm still playing in this game, but I don't feel, that i'm loving it, that why i gave Valorant 5/10.

    It's a fun tactical shooter focused on COMPETITION. Most of the negative reviews are clearly mad this game isn't COD and they should maybe do some research before playing a game like this. Imagine playing CS:GO and **** that it isn't a run and gun game. The art is intentionally minimalist to keep the competitive integrity and so far the gunplay is excellent.     so my main problem with valorant is since the update before launch. turkish servers, people in turkish servers dont speak anything else except turk 9 out of 10 times. it was much better when I played on other servers. people knew how to speak english they were doing teamwork etc, and the can be simple fix server selector whether you want to play on american turk.... most games have thatso my main problem with valorant is since the update before launch. turkish servers, people in turkish servers dont speak anything else except turk 9 out of 10 times. it was much better when I played on other servers. people knew how to speak english they were doing teamwork etc, and the can be simple fix server selector whether you want to play on american turk.... most games have that even mobile ones. and there is anther bug it shows that I have 40 ping on my pc but in my friends pcs it shows that I have 200 ping (which is the correct one) and my shots dont register, I have noticed that so its not much of a problem for me but I imagine that it can dismotivate lot of people, lack of content at launch just: just 4 maps and 11 agents but that isnt much of a problem becouse devs are updating the game regularly. it has much lower skill cap than csgo, you have to learn recoil for 7 bullets and rest is random but you can learn to control even that which is nearly same for rest of the guns, easy to use abilitys, good for new players but it puts skillcap as well unlike smokes in csgo I get it that valorant is getting to be something diffrent but if you when you master shooting you have to use brain unlike other games combined. and there are the things that valorant does right most important of all anticheat is very good unlike csgo and stuff that I heard from overwatch tf2. graphics are good and is regularly updated and isnt pay to win or encourage gambling or microtransactions lootboxes... nice game overall riot but add server selector or I will probably stop playing valorant, lot of my friends have left because of that and I imagine its not just my friends and keep adding content (mostly maps), and I hope that this game becomes something better example of a good game unlike csgo without any significant update and gambling.… Expand

    the game is raw playing it is very felt, when the developers all the time talked about their consultation with eSports, it immediately became clear that the project will fail and play it will only be those who have weak PCs or children who have not seen anything better

    I've been playing CS for as long as I can remember, back in 1.6 days. Valorant feels like a worst version of 1.6 and 1.6 came out 17 years ago, they graphics have improved but the way the guns feel are awful. One major flaw with the game is the replayability. There's no map selector, so you get the same map over and over and over again which leads to boring and mindless grinding when itI've been playing CS for as long as I can remember, back in 1.6 days. I love the game Valorant, it has a fresh idea and fresh feel but it needs some fixing and some features added. I've played Mirage thousands of times aswell as Dust 2 on CS, though I get tired of them sometimes, they bring fresh rounds and seamless gameplay at the highest level.

    I would really like a map selector, it shouldn't effect queues. Already have to wait 40 minutes for a game in unrated.    … Expand

But no, it just has a CSGO vibe that's it.

    This is an overyhped CSGO clone, out to steal the old dog's thunder. essentially nothing feels special about playing it. The only thing I like about is that it's only 8 gigs big.

The gameplay is alright, I don't mind the graphics, the characters, maps, and the gameplay because they all look pretty solid and clean. However, I really dislike the anti-cheat malware and getting spied by Tencent and I have some fps issues with other games when I download this malware. Played League for over 7 years, over 3k hours played and hundreds of euros spent, i love LoR and how they handle the whole aspect of getting cards.     The sound it’s both good and bad. The voice acting is great, I’ve played several hours with both English and Spanish voices and the work they’ve done is superb, the abilities from the agents all sound really Good, but the weapons lack a bit of punch, some like the snipers sound really good with a clear futuristic “Bang!”, others like the SMG’s and one of the AR’s sound like a peashooter.

    Visuals is where the game clearly shines, but some of the characters designs stick out like a sore thumb, Characters like Phoenix and Jett that walk around with a clear “sci-fi casual” style side by side with others like Sage or Omen that look like they came out straight from the Paladins roster.
    The maps, while the art style again makes them really good as something to look at, on the gameplay aspect they’re too similar in design at the ground level. While the loading screen art shows incredible landmarks on them, the maps actually boil down to “the one with beige walls, the one with beige walls and sewers, the one with beige walls and some steel platform” you’re going to end up learning the maps by playing since there is only 4 but the design doesn’t help at all.

    The gameplay is where my biggest problem with the game lies, to say it softly, this game was clearly “inspired” by Counter Strike, and while it tried to add it’s own spin into it’s gameplay, it fails incredibly hard.
    Let’s start with the good, the weapons damage seems balanced in regards to the prices, if two weapons cost the same it mostly boils down to your preference on how they both work, they also actually feel good while shooting from the hip, if you have experience with CS and can play without ADS not once, you’ll enjoy the gunplay a lot. The server tickrate is a godsent and the hitreg on the characters models has also been incredibly accurate for me.
    Now the bad, which is pretty much everything else. ADSing. Why? Just why would you make ADS work so bad? When you aim down sights your reticle changes to a holographic universal sight, now, on every FPS where you’re given this option you sacrifice your field of view in exchange for the ability to land precise shots having to worry only about the weapon recoil, Valorant has to be different and completely ditches that idea. Here if you ADS not only you lose your FOV of the area, you lose fire rate on your weapon, and the spread that the weapon has while shooting from the hip is still there! I’ll admit it reduces it, just why would you introduce ADSing in your game if it only hurts you.
    The gameplay around the map is also quite bad, aside form the whole “it’s all beige walls” point I already stated before, players can move way too much before a round start, there are clear spawn zones for both attack and defense but both teams can move freely on a larger area before the round starts with five convenient exits into a middle neutral zone. This degrades the game into a guessing game, do we all go into this exit leading to A and try to plant fast? Would the enemy team defend each one door or would they all play around the doors to plant zones? While this all sounds good in paper most matches boils down to a 1v2 engagement that starts the snowballing of the team that wins and ends up with more money.
    Now, character balance, Yes, there are clearly some agents that are better than others, this is a hero shooter and there’s going to be balance issues, but here they’re aggravated since the abilities cost money, not a lot, I’ll admit it, only between 100 and 300, but it all adds up when you consider that some characters like Raze have all abilities that deal damage and can help her snowball, or Reyna who can fully heal up after each kill.
    There’s pretty much no balanced matchmaking, with no comp mode currently in the game to set an MMR to players you can jump into your first game and find yourself against a 5-man squad of beta players with hundreds of hours into the game. Starting to play now is going to be incredibly rough and hard.

    CSGOverwatch is one of its many names on the internet. People claim it copies CS:GO's gun mechanics, and copies the agent abilities from Overwatch. Now, I can't deny that the game has it's similarities but, after playing in the closed beta and the full release the game is not game-breakingly imbalanced as some people claim. Now, I can't deny that the game has it's similarities but, after playing in the closed beta and the full release the game is not game-breakingly imbalanced as some people claim. The abilities force people to think outside of the box about positioning and strategy, and the abilities are all well balanced and are able to be countered.
    The main thing is that people who have thousands of hours on other tactical shooters like CS:GO, complain about the "lack of skill". The recoil patterns become RNG after a few shots, the abilities are crutches, so on, so forth. I disagree. The abilities have their uses, pros and cons, and like I said before, can be easily countered with better positioning and reaction times. The abilities do require skill to use, especially in the higher tiers of this games ranked mode. Any rank above Iron you cannot just randomly toss a fire into the middle of mid and manage to actually get use out of that fire. The abilities require game sense, logical thinking and strategy to use well.
    The guns. Old dogs from various other FPS games will think that the guns are, "clunky" and shoot like "pea-shooters''. Where they did not elaborate on how the guns were "clunky" and "peashooters" other than saying the SFX are bad. They also say that the guns have too high of a contrast with each other, meaning some guns will not be used most of the time, comparing it with CS:GO, somehow forgetting that the PP Bizon and the M249 exist. The "clunky" shooting mechanics is something I have never felt, so I can't really comment on it. The peashooter guns might be in reference to the starter pistol. The sad part is that people in the user reviews have biased reviews, and mine will certainly have biased opinions in it, but i try to put facts behind the opinions. I have seen a person state in their review that there are "too many pistols” and that many of them will never be used after a pistol round because you will always have enough money to buy a rifle and armor. Anyone who has played this game for more than 4 hours can tell you that is wrong. Eco rounds will happen at least twice every game. it's impossible to always have enough to buy rifles and armor. If you lose the pistol round you will need to either not buy anything or decide to Eco, or to force buy, with most choosing the last 2. The amount of pistols are not the problem. Neither is the amount of ARs. 3 assault rifles, both teams can access. Unlike CS:GO that is referenced more than the Bible nowadays due to this game, the amount of guns is much less than the 33 guns that CS:GO has. The negative reviews are all widely spread out, not focusing on a single bad point most of the time. It's either server ping, Vanguard, guns, abilities. Not a lot of reviews i have stumbled upon have had at least 3 of these listed as issues.
    Now after defending the game, I want to pick on it's bad bits.
    The Anti-Cheat. Vanguard is extremely controversial due to it's invasive methods, and people claim it steals info, shuts down drivers without warning, and causes blue screens. I myself have only experienced the blue screen, but the cool down from having Vanguard blue screen my PC is infuriating and tilting.
    The Graphics. One review that i had to translate because it was in Russian says the graphics were reminiscent of old PS2 games, and i can't disagree. I generally prefer CS:GO's graphics and Valorant's seems a bit cartoony and kid-friendly. In fact the reason i got into the Closed Beta so late was because the graphics were putting me off actually trying to get the game.
    The Toxicity. I cannot say that I'm not toxic at times, but having people immediately throwing after losing pistol or screaming when you miss a shot from 50m away is tilting. Riot promised that toxic players will be punished, but I have played against players that sent slurs into the chat and were not punished immediately. Sure they might've been punished later on, but you don't get informed when they are. It makes me lose trust in the moderation of the game, as I will never know if someone who was toxic or blatantly cheating was banned, or got away scot-free.
    The MMR. Games like CS:GO have skill levels. You have Silver, the worst of the worst, and Global Elite, the best of the best. Every game you play should and is balanced skill-wise. In Valorant, it's the opposite. You can go up against people who drop 50 kills in a single game, and meanwhile you and your teammates get at most 18 kills. The MMR is severely imbalanced and if not fixed, could drive away the playerbase.
    The Skins. I won't lie. I'm broke as hell, but the price of the skins are way too high. $70 for a bundle, and another $70 to "upgrade" the skins. This is an extremely scummy way of earning money.

    the game already fulfill the purpose to be the competitor look-alike, CSGO. sure it's fun, but multiplayer competitive game should make me more and more again to play just like Overwatch and CSGO, but not with Valorant, already tired after 1-2 games.     -Wall banging is still very annoying when it happens to you but obviously is satisfying when you do it. I think the game needs more consistency with what walls are wallbangable.

    Hero Abilities
    -For the most part I feel that most characters are fairly balanced except for Raze and Reyna. I've never felt as if I lost because of a **** ability but rather I died due to a poor play from me.
    -Omen needs a buff. Teleport shouldn't make a sound at all. It really just ruins his character because when the sound goes off everyone knows where you're at. I rather have it where you know he has ult, Omen ults, No one hears it, he gets a pick then the communication on the other team has to call out he teleported.
    -Jett needs more consistency with right click on the ult. Too many times have I been standing still and no knives hit.

    Pacing
    -Reviews saying the game is boring are wrong. It's only boring because of your play style. If you want fast paced gameplay, coordinate with the team then fully rush a site.

    Economy
    -Definitely needs to be less rewarding. If you save for 3 rounds at the start you will have full armor + vandal for the rest of the half even if you're losing.

    Loot Boxes (Contentious Topic)
    -In my own opinion loot boxes makes shooters thrive if it's purely cosmetic. I don't like the idea that I buy an axe for $35 that half the population has also. Doesn't feel unique versus pure rng giving you a specific float for a rare gun/knife.
    -They need to open up a marketplace if the idea above is implemented because the game will grow in popularity if the people can get more out of the game other then just ranking or buying generic skins that look as if they were made by a 10 year old.    … Expand

    Good fps game. If you like CSGO,I think you will like it. But it is not a good game for casual gamer. Need more casual mode I think.

    Compi is unbalanced af even more than unrated.
    Its litrally like shroud vs some newbie.     Un Counter Strike con habilidades y muchos defectos.

    Este juego destaca mucho por ser gratis y por la jugabilidad, siendo un juego competitivo igual al conocido CS mezclado con sigilo pero con habilidades y poderes, lo cual esta muy muy bien implementada, siendo un juego demasiado dependiente de la comunicacion con tus compañeros, y la habilidad de ellos de utilizar con sabiduria las    Un Counter Strike con habilidades y muchos defectos.

    Este juego destaca mucho por ser gratis y por la jugabilidad, siendo un juego competitivo igual al conocido CS mezclado con sigilo pero con habilidades y poderes, lo cual esta muy muy bien implementada, siendo un juego demasiado dependiente de la comunicacion con tus compañeros, y la habilidad de ellos de utilizar con sabiduria las habilidades.
    Hay varios mapas, el desarrollo de los mapas esta muy bueno, cada rincon del mapa fue pensado con la estrategia y el juego en equipo como prioridad; pero se sienten vacios, repetitivos, y muy "cuadrados"

    Los personajes es otra cosa que destaca de este juego, hay muchisima variedad y son muy diferentes unos de otros, diferenciandose en roles, algunos tienen habilidades mas pensadas en defensa, soporte, exploradores, o asaltantes.

    Hay pocos modos de juego, siendo todos iguales pero con leves diferencias; al igual que las armas que incluso tienen demasiado recoil y hay que aprender mucho a dominarlas lo cual no es facil de hacer.

    Este juego lamentablemente tiene muchos defectos, el juego vive actualizandose generando mas problemas que soluciones, el juego no esta bien optimizado, los servidores son ree contra inestables, esto se refleja en una variacion de ping altisima que afecta a todos los jugadores, arruinando la experiencia. Y los tiempos de carga de las partidas es demasiado alto para mi gusto.

    El juego tiene demasiado desbalance, teniendo compañeros que no saben usar habilidades o enemigos demasiado experimentados. Nunca habia visto una comunidad tan toxica como en Valorant, te insultan facilmente con el minimo error y con amenazas de reportarte enves de ayudar o colaborar, esto desalienta muchisimo a seguir jugando y al juego en equipo. Inclusive es bastante normal que en el equipo que va perdiendo se desconecte al menos 1 jugador quedando en desventaja.

    Lamentablemente en este juego se pueden utilizar macros o utilizar botones de secuencia de clicks, ayudando mucho a jugadores con buenos perifericos.

    La tabla de puntuaciones creo que es algo que no esta bien implementada, recompensando y fomentando siempre a tener mas bajas enves del juego en equipo. Deberian copiar el sistema de puntuaciones de Battlefield por ejemplo que tienen mucho mejor implementado esto.

    A pesar de todo lo bueno y malo que tiene este juego, veo algo muy bueno que tiene esto y es la facilidad de crear un equipo con tus amigos para jugar, y ya eso es lo suficientemente alentador para seguir jugandolo siendo un juego que personalmente no recomendaria.

    A este juego le veo mucho futuro, si Riot sigue por buen camino y soluciona varios de sus problemas, puede llegar a ser uno de los juegos competitivos clave del futuro.    … Expand

    Valorant has a high-quality and clean release without any problems. The game will definitely please fans of the competitive FPS genre. The eSports potential of the shooter has only become established over time, and the first tournaments are already planned. However, a high entry threshold requires serious skill training. But this only makes the game more interesting.

    Overall, Valorant is a great game to play if you're a fan of first-person shooter strategy games. But it is also something that someone without experience with games like CS:GO can enjoy and pick up quickly. The Agents are, for the most part, balanced, and the planned addition of more should keep the game fresh. The overall style doesn't really land and the sound design needs to be fixed.
