    This is an extremely fun game with a high skill ceiling. Unfortunately it looks like its getting review bombed right now by salty csgo fanboys, and overwatch/cod players who arent used to a slower style of gameplay.

    That isn't to say the game is perfect, I normally woulnd't give it a 10/10 (probably a 7 or 8), but so many people are giving it zeroes i figured id try and balance it out a little.

    As a die-hard counter strike fan, I love this game. The devs addressed a lot of issues during the beta and seemed to understand their community well, which I can't say for CS honestly. I think the game has a lot of potential. And yeah, I'm just giving it a 10 to compensate for the 0's. Seriously, you haven't played the game, you don't understand game development, don't bash it.     Brilliant game。After spending over 600 hours in CSGO and 500+ hours in Overwatch, I can recommend this title. Riot games has done an outstanding job by adding the competitive aspect of CSGO with the utility abilities from Overwatch and other similar games. 10/10

    Its like CS:GO, but with a higher focus on competitive gameplay and balance.
    Its like Overwatch, but with more updates and memorable characters.
    Riot Games out-does Blizzard and Valve after just 1 year of VALORANT being available publicly.
    Best shooter that exists to date. Easy to learn and dangerously addictive.

    Очень даже неплохо. Интересные механики. Заинтересованность разработчиков в улучшении игры. В принципе ,вполне гуд в перспективе. Не такая скучная как CS, не фановая и казуальная как овер(от овера тут разве что стрела ханзо и стенка мей),но и не такая разнообразная пока как R6. Поставил бы 8,но слишком уж занизили кокоэсеры рейтинг опустили. Сравнивать игру с овервотчем - вообще омегалул .Очень даже неплохо. Интересные механики.     In my opinion the game is great. It's fun to play (especially with friends) but still competitive.
    I know there are things to be done but they'll fix it / balance it over time.

Industry veteran map makers and testers. Very low system reqs, 144+ fps with 1050ti. No p2w elements. That's what a F2P FPS should be and more.     A revitalizing take on the CS formula. I had a lot of fun playing this for the past few days. So easy to jump into. Really loving this game and I look forward to playing it in the future.

    Probably the best competitive game of 2020. It's the long needed renew of tactical shooter games with modern features like hero characters instead of faceless soldiers. The character abilities add a lot of fun to the otherwise repetitve gameplay of older games that are alike. Everything in this game is optimized and finetuned to be sleek, fast and competitive.

    The graphics for instance    Probably the best competitive game of 2020. It's the long needed renew of tactical shooter games with modern features like hero characters instead of faceless soldiers. The character abilities add a lot of fun to the otherwise repetitve gameplay of older games that are alike. Everything in this game is optimized and finetuned to be sleek, fast and competitive.

    The graphics for instance are beautiful and a huge upgrade to older games, but simple enough to still allow 144fps on low-end machines. For example it does not feature ragdoll phyics for fairness and high framerates.

    The gunplay is fantastic and probably the best I've ever seen.

    The launch was the smoothest I've seen in ages. I could play the whole day without any issues but minor display bugs.

    It's a very polished game, and on launch already better than its direct competitors in most fields, except map count and the missing kill cam.

    The Vanguard Anticheat people are writing about is nothing new. Riot was just pretty transparent about it. It features a kernel driver anti cheat service that runs on startup. This is possible security hole and riot has a well paid bug bounty program to keep it secure. The thing is, that every other big competitive games also come with kernel drivers: Easy Anticheat (Fortnite, Apex Legends), Battleeye (PUBG), FaceIt (CSGO), Punkbuster (Battlefeld). Other companies just don't tell you about it and how it works. Also they don't give you the opportunity to switch it off.

    If you wonder about the bad reviews here: it's basically CS:GO players who try to troll defend CS:GO. Funningly enough at the time CS:GO came out, it was also stomped in to the ground by CS players alike.    … Expand

I got 10 friends and we play many games but some of us don't like one or another but there are games when we all play together like CS GO or League or WoW and everyone like it.     I personally played CS quite a lot and Valorant has nothing to envy to CS, much deeper gameplay coming from the hero based design. Monetization is also criticized, but guys just remember that Valorant is fully F2P, don't buy the skins if you find it expensive (juste remember CS isn't F2P for a long time and did offer very - very expensive skins...)

    A faSciNatInG Game, 5 vs 5 multiplayer Fps Game ..Solid and definitely has an audience. There could be some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.

    I'm a CS GO player and I've been playing Valorant for the last few days and I really like it. Even though the game has a lot of problem's, I believe that they will be fixed.

    Even my **** laptop can run at 30-40fps the frame rate which is playable for some people
    I'm just a normal player from R6 Siege and CS GO. Honestly, Valorant make me feels difference between these game.     Отличная замена помойной csgo в которой нихера толком не меняется на протяжении века. Изначально хорошо видно противника и высокий фпс, не надо шаманить над настройками и играть в низком разрешении.

    The game is amazing, it brings me back to the good ol' CS1.6 Days. Guns are snappy, characters are easy to see and the community has been great so far. Don't believe in the fake negative reviews. CSGO and Overwatch players are worried because the new kid on the block is about to steal their thunder.

    Dont be fooled by the amount of zeroes on this page. Some are salty that people have an alternative to CS:GO. Others are salty that they got banned by the anti-cheat. This game launched yesterday and will continue to get major updates as time goes on as Riot has been shown to support their games

You say there is some spyware in it, so why don't you tell riot about it, and receive ~100k$? Yes they pay for it, go find a bug or a rootkit, as you say you know it is there, and get a good amount of dollars. Animations?     This is the worst fps game for year 2020. It is just a copypaste from Overwatch and CSGO. In theory you can play this game, but it provides nothing. Graphics in this game is bad even for 2012. I played in this **** for 20 hours in beta, and in release nothing changed. Good luck.

    Come on guys, this game isn't threatening the integrity of the games industry or anything. There can, and absolutely should be competing games to Counter-Strike and Overwatch, and this game provides enough novel ideas for it to feel fresh and exciting.
    My real score is 8.5/10.

    Valorant belongs to a group of e-sports known as tactical shooters, focusing on gunplay, tactics, economy and teamwork.
    It is fantastically compelling as a team experience, but is not reccomended if you have nobody else to play it with.
    The game is only going to get better as time goes on, and I'm sure that even with all this purile review bombing it will continue to grow and strengthen the entire tactical shooter genre of e-sports.    … Expand

    I truly Love Valorant! The clips I've had saved in Medal are wonderful pieces of memories, looking forward to adding more to it. Here are some notes though.
    The graphics would be appreciated if it were to be improved by quite a lot and adding environment interaction (Overwatch has beautiful environment interaction and also make it a little more fun in pre-rounds). I Would also like to    I truly Love Valorant! The clips I've had saved in Medal are wonderful pieces of memories, looking forward to adding more to it. Here are some notes though.

    The peoples of the CIS who respect cs underestimate the rating of the game for the simple reason that it is a “OVERWATCH” and you don’t care that the game is better developed than cs go? CS is 20 years old, and Valorant is only a few days old.

    Coming from overwatch and messing around with cs go I found this game to be very entertaining. I've learned so much about angles, timing, aiming correctly. This game is very unforgiving, maybe not as bad as escape from Tarkov but if you make mistakes you will die quickly. The first few hours I played I didn't think it was anything special but I was wrong. I just didn't understand how toComing from overwatch and messing around with cs go I found this game to be very entertaining. I've learned so much about angles, timing, aiming correctly. This game is very unforgiving, maybe not as bad as escape from Tarkov but if you make mistakes you will die quickly.     Valorant, i believe has been one of the best games to drop in quite awhile. It has a range of different characters to play as and they are each unique in their own way and some of them have some very nice abilities. It has a good range of different guns to pick from, that helps to make the game more enjoyable.     I can't really say that i can compare it to CS as I only played CS for like from Beta 0.6 to 1.0 and stopped playing about 15 years ago. But this game is just the right mix of nostalgia and some new fun features for an old dog like me. **** love it. sure the graphics are basic, but wasn't that the hole point? Thats like complaining that cyberpunk will be single player..     As said by a lot of players and professionals, the game is definitely not ready to be released yet but, nonetheless the game is still great fun and combines two great video game genres, a Tactile FPS and a Hero shooter.
    Would recommend to anyone who doesn't think it's a straight up clone of CS:GO.

    Great game. Versatile design allows it to be playable on lower range machines without a huge competitive disadvantage. It runs beautifully and takes some bug steps in getting past the terrible cheating problems that plague CS:GO and other such games. Agents are balanced for the most part though I imagine some changes will continue to be made as trends are seen. The 128 tickrate server andGreat game.     This game most often gets summarized as "CSGO style shooting with Overwatch heroes." While I do think this is a great way to describe the game to someone I think it's important to state that it's unique compared to both of these games. If you compare to Overwatch, the style of shooting is vastly different and you're in for a much more tactical feeling shooter. If you compare to CS you're going to complain that the hero abilities are too easy to use and there isn't enough skill involved.

    If you're a hardcore CSGO or Overwatch player and all you do is compare Valorant to those games, yes, it's going to feel different. I would argue that's the goal since this is an entirely different game. As well, Valorant has been in full release for a day at this point, so there will of course be some content differences as far as map count, hero count, etc.

    From a gameplay perspective I have very much enjoyed Valorant. I am coming from R6 Siege myself. I've thought about getting into CSGO but at this point I don't really have any desire to dedicate myself to a game where other people are already 5k-10k hours ahead of me. I like the short rounds and the round pacing feels good. If you die early you aren't waiting on the sidelines for too long and with a best of 13 format you have plenty of opportunities to try different strategies within a single match.

    I think the shooting feels very fair. Rarely do I die and feel as if it was the game's fault or a player had a cheap angle on me. It's always very apparent that I made a mistake and how I could have played it out more successfully.

    The graphics are intentionally very basic (or "dated" as some may say) as Riot wanted this game to run on as many systems as possible. I'm not going to fault the game for simple/clean graphics when that is its intent. Visually it's very easy to differentiate targets and see other players which I find very refreshing compared to Siege and the limited time I've spent with CS GO. You don't need to go download an application to crank up your saturation just to see enemy players.

    Hero abilities generally feel fair. While there's still balance that needs to happen, none of the agents are in an oppressive state and none are so worthless that picking them is a true death sentence for your team.

    Developer engagement with the community has been excellent and they've responded to problems quickly up until this point. I don't think there is much Riot could do to be any more responsive or invested. This bodes well for the life of the game, not to mention their track record with League.

    As far as skins and agent grind goes, I believe skins are a bit overpriced. The battle pass feels very fair at $10. I doubt skins will come down in price because it's very evident that people are willing to pay $10-$15 per gun skin.

    Over all I have been having a great time with the game. The map pool is small right now but every game feels fresh from my perspective. I think an 8.5/10 is very fair for an initial launch review and I'm looking forward to more content and game modes. Give it a shot if you are looking for a fresh twist on a competitive shooter.    … Expand

    CSGO released 8 years ago and was a complete joke on release day and remained a joke for a few years. The only reason it managed to stay alive was thanks to the life support of having the monopoly on this type of game and the skins craze. It's been 8 years since release and the devs are still figuring out how to properly balance the weapons, run and gunning is almost COD-like (hence the term ferrari peek), you can't wallbang anything and matchmaking servers are still 64 tick.

    Unless you're a fanboy, it should be clear that Valorant is at the top of the FPS game today and a spiritual successor to CS 1.6 in a way that GO never was or will ever be.    … Expand

    Ignore these salty CSGO players, they can’t aim and cheat so they are taking their rage out in these scores. It’s a fun f2p game that is a great mix between the gunplay of CS and the abilities of OW. Every patch makes the game better and the devs really listen to the player base.

    Launch has had some issues but as with any new game it is going to have issues. Being a fan of Bethesda games, I can say this launch of nothing compared to some games when it comes to bugs.

    I have a few other minor complains like skin prices being a bit high and the maps not being great quite yet, but it's a really fun game that personally turned me off csgo because the game does the formula better. Right now I'd rate the game around a 9.    … Expand

Having a hero style tactical shooter fixed one of the few gripes I had with CS, which was that though every match was slightly different, it didn't quite "feel" different, sometimes flashes work and the enemy is spraying at air. Sometimes through zany circumstances they manage to turn things around and get a miracle headshot or something, but either way, it's the same old flash.
    One could say that having only a few pizzazz filled moments makes them so good, but I think that more unique moments would help, and this system where not everyone can buy anything for their strat, making people work with limitations, makes every match that bit more unique.    … Expand

    I am really enjoying Valorant. Not sure why so many are giving such a low score. I understand that some people might be turned off by this style of shooter, but that is not deserving of a zero rating. It's free so I would suggest you try it yourself and see if it's your style of game.

    Super solid servers and FPS gunplay is top tier abilities are pretty balanced. Played over a hundred hours in beta and the changes they made to split plus the new map and mode are great. Definitely gonna be my new main game for a very long time

    is a breath of fresh air in the competitive shooters.

    Developers have great contact with community and despite the
    issues at the launch, the game is enjoyable.

    Developers are trying to patch known bugs.

    Valorant takes a lot of the great mechanics from CS and streamlines them. Simple changes to the game like hold to scope instead of the clunky CS mechanics, bunnyhopping that isn't just random, spraying mechanics being standardized across all weapons to remove the memorization aspect, showing your minimum money for next round, etc, etc all make the game so much more enojoyable to play without taking away anything from the skillcap. My favorite part about Valorant has to be the abilities, unlike CS, utility lineups are not an unnecessary barrier to entry. That's not to say there aren't any no big brain lineups you can use, there certainly are, they just aren't basically a requirement to play like CS. In CS I would avoid playing maps until I'd spent hours and hours in training practicing my utility lineups.

    In Valorant, if you want to smoke off a choke point it's as easy as clicking it on the map or controlling exactly where you want to place the smoke. This is so much better imo because it keeps all the skill of knowing when and where to use your utliity, but removes the huge barrier to entry of needing to memorize an insane number of precise lineups just to be able to use your utiliity where you want it from where you are. If you're a fan of tactical shooters, I would say Valorant is a must-play.

    The game is not without some issues, but throughout the beta the dev team has proven to me that they are committed to this game. It is so refreshing to see a dev team that actually responds to the community and constantly gives updates about what they are working on and their plans for the future rather than the PR crap we see from every AAA company nowadays. Right now there are some issues with the servers, likely because of the huge influx of players for release. However, I can say when the servers aren't overloaded, the game is smooth as can be with 128 tick servers and low ping from almost anywhere. Riot has made it clear that they are committed to optimizing their game through both server and local optimizations, so I have no doubt that they will fix any issues that arise.    … Expand

There was a rumor in beta that all bans were to be wiped and that cheaters were to be given "another chance". The gunplay is precise and fair. If you're standing still and tap firing, chances are you are going to hit whatever you are aiming at. If you spray, you have a lower chance of hitting your target. Basic stuff. There's even spray patterns so you can predict how your bullets will travel. It's similarity to CSGO is arguably one of its biggest strengths, not flaws. It means that the game feels familiar. Most of the abilities are well made and fair (looking at you, Raze, Sage and Breach.) which makes for interesting gameplay. Even when the games are going slowly, there's always a chance to outplay your opponents with your abilities and gun skill. Amazing game.… Expand

    I already like it more than CS because I can queue on high mmr matchmaking and not catch a spinning bayblade that headshots me thru 3 walls.

    Valorant has a high-quality and clean release without any problems. The game will definitely please fans of the competitive FPS genre. The eSports potential of the shooter has only become established over time, and the first tournaments are already planned. However, a high entry threshold requires serious skill training. But this only makes the game more interesting.

    Overall, Valorant is a great game to play if you're a fan of first-person shooter strategy games. But it is also something that someone without experience with games like CS:GO can enjoy and pick up quickly. The Agents are, for the most part, balanced, and the planned addition of more should keep the game fresh. The overall style doesn't really land and the sound design needs to be fixed.
