VAIL VR is really good for an early access game, and better than most VRFPS games at the moment. While games like Pavlov and Contractors have more guns and maps, the beauty of VAIL is in the details. The gun models are some of the best I've seen in any VR game, and have a lot of little details that you wouldn't notice unless you looked for them. Tactical Throwing feels really smooth, and the maps look stellar. While performance is still something to be worked on, frame drops for me are rare. For those getting frame drops I suggest enabling XMP in your BIOS if you can.

The map design and variety is pretty good as well. You have a Dust 2 style map in Suna, a close-quarters map in Khidi, and a long-range 2-story map in Maar. And that's just for the SnD Gamemode, Artifact. There's also TDM and CTO (Capture the Orb, their version of Capture the Flag) and most maps can be used for multiple different modes.

In short, while there may not me much content at face value, the details and design more than makes up for it. If you're a comp player you'll have a lot of fun with Artifact, and filthy casuals will have fun with CTO and TDM. Plus, more content is on the way.

Medicore game at best. I had to buy the game even though they said they would give all the alpha testers a free copy, that was a huge lie. The maps are made for campers and the peformance is terrible for a 30 dollar game. I would rather play contractors or pavlov.

Vail VR is the definition of mediocre and overhyped. Before somebody tries to cancel me or something like that, hear me out. The maps look great, they just aren’t very good. The only map I like is the desert-looking one which reminds me of rust. The maps are practically made for campers as there is a ridiculous amount of corners and dark areas to fit in as if you were on a spy mission. ForVail VR is the definition of mediocre and overhyped. One thing I love is the guns, they feel amazing and nearly life-like, the problem is that the enemy’s are bullet sponges and people are already hacking, days after release. One of my BIGGEST complaints is the performance, which is absolutely terrible. You know what else is terrible? The price tag and their discord server. I’ve seen people get banned because they got the moderators angry. I hope VAIL will see this and maybe take this into consideration. Expand

This is such a disappointment. I had the alpha, played that for two hours, wasn’t very excited about the game. I realized that the full game was coming the next month, good thing I would own the game since anybody with the beta could own it right? One month later, I had to pay for the game. The maps are made for campers, the movement is choppy, and the optimization is horrible. To make everything worse, the furry discord moderator on their server banned me for talking about optimization and what the can do with the settings page. The only good thing about this game is the guns, they feel pretty good. But I wouldn’t recommend this until they keep up with their promises. Get Pavlov for now. Expand
