If you were late to the Supermassive Games train like I was, climbing aboard sometime after their success because you didn’t have a Playstation 4, then this is the perfect time to catch up on a classic. Some might say this is the progenitor of interactive cinema, at least in terms of commercial success. While not the perfect remaster, Until Dawn has made the leap to the modern era of presentation without falling to its death. Just a few scrapes and bruises.

Overall, Until Dawn remaster is a nice atmospheric slasher horror, well complemented by plenty of choices that can motivate you to play the game again. Although it is a walking simulator genre, it stands out in comparison to most similar titles with its cast and more cinematic style.

Technical issues and lack of a substantial upgrade aside, Until Dawn remains the perfect interactive horror movie.

If you've never played Until Dawn, the remake is a good time to experience this cult classic. It's as fun and thrilling as it was in 2015. However, while the remake improves upon the original in some ways, the overall improvement isn't vast enough to the point where this version is a must for those who've played through the game once before.

Players are going to have mixed feelings about the Until Dawn remake. The story remains as cheesy as ever, while the characters and performances elevate the experience. The changes are mostly good, with the better camera and touched-up graphics winning out over the changing of the soundtrack. However, the game really needed more time to polish out the bugs, especially since there's still plenty of time to get things before the movie hits. It's still a good title, but it could've been so much better if it weren't for the technical issues.

Until Dawn on PC offers good graphics that enhance the experience and immersion of the game. It will scare us and require important decisions that affect the story. Despite not needing scaling technologies, the adaptation for mouse and keyboard is acceptable. However, it is still the same game and cannot be considered a remake.

The graphics have been refreshed beautifully, but I don't think it is a necessary change, as the original still stands up well. Not mentioning the optimisation problems and the exaggerated price... Eh, Sony, why are you doing this to yourself?
