    It's a broken, buggy mess. Pretty much nothing works, the movement is bad, the "action" is even worse. The best thing going for this game is the voice acting. 11/10 Would not play again.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is 1-1,5 hour long. It's also Uncharted clone. The entirety of 1st episode consists of 6 chapters:
    1. escape from office building, including shooting (takes 5-10 minutes);
    2. a tomb, featuring kindergarten-level puzzles, shooting and a whooping 30-40 minutes of gameplay;
    3. riding on quadbike, shooting at people chasing you on bikes and helicopter (takes 5 minutes);
    4. walk in the city. Yes, you just follow two guys through the city streets. You walk VERY slowly. Takes 10-15 minutes;
    5. rooftop chase. Take 5 minutes
    6. GTA-style driving away from cops. The thing is entire city is just 2-3 blocks copypasted over and over. Takes 5-10 minutes.

    All this interjects with inept fist fights and poorly-done cutscenes.    … Expand

    What the heck did I just play? This game looks and sounds like it's from 2003. I understand this is the very first attempt by the devs but everything's so friggin' bad I can't really find anything to save: graphics are bad, sound is terrible, gameplay is slow and boring and sometimes stupid. I'm giving this a 2 instead of 0 because I had two good laughs moments playing it, during the twoWhat the heck did I just play? This game looks and sounds like it's from 2003.     I am just going to come out and say it: Unearthed is an Uncharted/Tomb Raider clone. It’s basically a generic version of uncharted targeted toward the budget PC game market. The game makes no attempt to mask this at all! In fact, they seem to take pride in the fact that they are a cheap knock-off.

    Still, as far as knock-offs go, the story isn’t half bad! It’s an episodic game, and has a decent plotline that could evolve into an interesting story. Though, it seems as if we will never really know for certain, since Episode 1 came out in 2014, and no episode 2 has ever followed! Will one eventually pop up? Possibly, though I wouldn’t hold my breath for it! The first episode ends in a cliff hanger too! So, if you are someone who really enjoyed the game? Too bad! No ending for you!

    The game is made by Semaphore, but a part of me has to wonder if this is the gaming branch of Asylum films. It’s just insane how much of a blatant knock-off this game is. Still, that doesn’t bother me much! I actually don’t mind cheap knock-offs! In fact if I am being completely honest, it being a knock-off of Uncharted was the main reason for buying it. (That and it was on sale for only 99 cents!)

    Anyway, like I said! The game is an Uncharted knock off, which means it features many of the same elements from Uncharted. Stealth kills, rooftop chases, driving, riding passenger while firing guns at pursuing enemies…Everything you would expect from an uncharted game, just in a miniature format. Everything is shorter.

    So, how is the game? Well, it starts out ok! everything seems to be textured nicely. Unfortunately, while the textures used were fantastic, a lot of people had a shine to it. This made people, and their clothes occasionally look like plastic! It’s not present in everything, but the few times it occurs is a bit of a distraction.

    As far as the acting goes, I wasn’t that impressed. The voice acting wasn’t that great at all! In fact, it was some pretty poor voice acting! Maybe some of the worst that I have heard in a video game. They really should have just went with no voice over! That would have been an improvement!

    As I start actually playing the game, the first thing I notice is the poor animation! Still, this is an indie game, and I am sure the company isn’t set up with motion captioning studios. I have seen worse in Indie games…Hell, I have seen worse in some AAA titles too! So, the characters move stiffly and nothing feels smooth! It’s about on par with what you would expect from a 5 dollar game in terms of animation.

    What isn’t on par with what you would expect is the amount of glitches! Seriously, was this thing even beta tested? I was killed by invisible enemies, detected and shot through walls(Which kinda defeats the purpose of taking cover really), Died from fall damage while going down some steps and even jumped THROUGH a pillar and off a ledge instead of jumping onto the pillar! All that was just what I encountered during one play through! I can only imagine the bugs that I haven’t yet encountered!

    The game is 100% Xbox 360 gamepad compatible, but the controls are also very shoddy! You can use them, but everything feels clunky, and I just can’t seem to move exactly the way I want or need to! This makes it especially annoying when trying to maneuver across thin walkways above a deep chasm.

    The “Puzzles” are also very simple. There’s no way you will have trouble solving any of the puzzles in this game, but apparently it has a hint feature just in case! I am kind of curious if anyone has actually used it, but I am assuming they haven’t, and if they did I doubt they would ever admit it.

    Lastly, the game is SHORT! I mean, obviously you expect it to be short, but it’s REALLY short. The game can be complete in an hour and a half! Most of that isn’t even real gaming either! A good portion of that is just walking down a street, driving around repeating roads and “Fist fighting” foes!

    Is it worth picking up? I suppose if you get it on a 99 cent sale like I did, and you enjoy cheap knock-offs and the chuckles they can bring..then sure. Otherwise, 5 bucks is asking way too much for what the game provides.    … Expand

    Uncharted had Nolan North. Unearthed has Troy Baker. Which one of these voice actors won GOTY last year?     Unearthed runs at 60 FPS at 1080p. Uncharted only runs at 720p at 30 FPS. Basic math tells us that since the frame buffer has roughly 4 times as many pixels and twice as many frames, Unearthed is at least 8 times better looking than Uncharted.

    Unearthed: 9 Uncharted: 0

    Uncharted 3 had horses. Unearthed has 4 wheel ATVs. That's 4 more wheels than Uncharted lets you ride.

    Unearthed: 13 Uncharted: 0

    Uncharted only runs on the PS3, while Unearthed runs on Android, PC, Mac, and probably the Gizmondo.

    Unearthed: 17 Uncharted: 0

    Uncharted only has creepy slippery Nazis. Unearthed has full on zombies, and it doesn't need to explain why they're there.

    Unearthed: 18 Uncharted: 0

    Uncharted usually only gives you a few weapons to choose from at any time. Unearthed has more weapon types than there are enemies in the entire campaign.

    Unearthed: 19 Uncharted: 0

    Nathan Drake is a ♥♥♥♥♥ who gets scared and emotional when the going gets tough. Faris Jawad doesn't stop cracking jokes even when a gun is fired at his sister.

    Unearthed: 20 Uncharted: 0

    Finally, as Unearthed rightfully points out on the store page, this game has been translated into more languages than most best-selling literature will ever see, because Semaphore knows everyone will want to play this and wants to be culturally sensitive to everyone. Uncharted consists of playing a white guy shooting minorities. I think we know who is more socially responsible.

    This is just a summary of all the things that make Unearthed the best. I didn't even go into detail about the leisurely strolls through the city discussing the plot, or the Kafka-esque analysis of the futility of escaping in a car as the city loops around you. There's just too much to this game to pack in one review, and I implore you to check out what may already be the de-facto GOTY of 2014.    … Expand

    best game ever, it will be nothing better on video games. better than his cheap copy aka uncharted. for the price that it have is very cheap. you should buy 2 or 3

    Wow just...wow. No game has ever had such original content and had such good content and no game has ever had such in depth characterization such as the protagonist , the character whom you play, asudqwuihejuqwher the third. 45/Q

My favorite type of games are these action-adventure games, where you can shoot, fight and do some platforming, unfortunately though Unearthed - Trail Of Ibn Battuta fails in all three. I wish it was good because of the indie middle-eastern developers, but it is just bad. So many bugs and glitchesIt's a terrible game, that doesn't even hide the fact that it wants to be an Uncharted copy. The music and the voice acting is not that horrible, but the physics are. Shooting is less than mediocre. I like the fighting a bit more than in the PS3 version, but it doesn't mean it's good, just not laughable. So all in all, even if you love the genre, don't play this game. There are dozens of better ones. If it was 2002 it would be an OK game in some aspects, but in 2014 it is just garbage.… Expand

    This is completely new game next generation experience! It is unbelievable and terrifying! I do not know, why the absolutely majority of gamers hates it. You know know, that this game was translated on MORE THAN 20 LANGUAGES!!! My computer was completely destroyed when it tried to read the files of this AWESOME GAME! 99,9 of 10!
    Seriously, it is piece of...nothing. Thank you for your attention.

    The game is trying to be an Uncharted clone, it doesn't quite pull it off. The AI is basic, the melee combat is not good. The shooting sections aren't too bad, though aren't near the standards we're use to. All the references are a little blatant, but I did chuckle at a couple of them. The graphics aren't the worst, even considering the year it was released.

    If you've ever played Uncharted, you know exactly what this game's like. Minus all the fun and charm, of course. It's a cover-based third person shooter with platforming elements, but mostly it's a soulless bug-infested mess that's trying way too hard to be an epic cinematic action game. Avoid it like a plague - unless you're completely smashed and looking for something to make fun of, in which case this game won't disappoint. It's hilarious, but for all the wrong reasons. Or go ask the 41 million people who like uncharted better. Compared to, oh wait I can’t find a record of how many copies unearthed sold. Probably because no one bought it. And by the way, unearthed is in 2 languages not “into more languages than most best-selling literature will ever see,” literally what you said. And uncharted has more guns. Have you even played it? Also if there are more guns than enemies where do those guns come from? Do they drop from the sky? And now that uncharted 4 came out a couple years ago, why don’t you compare your, “unearthed” to uncharted 4 AND The lost legacy. And also, putting the game on multiple devices means nothing it just means that Sony supports uncharted more because it’s an exclusive! Uncharted doesn’t only have nazis, first, they’re not nazis, and secondly, they were in one game out of how many? 4. Wait no and 5 because of the lost legacy. And unearthed?     Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta is pure garbage. It just about works, it's shameless in its mimicry of better games, and it's as ugly as Satan's pink portion. God damn, there's something hilarious about it though.
