The rigid, stamina-based battle system adds unnecessary tedium to what could have been fluid combat (of which the boss battles give a tantalizing taste), but the quirky characters make it worthwhile. There are some fun minigames and interesting story twists to spice it up, too.

Honestly one of my favorite indie games. The game is underrated yet has an amazing soundtrack and good game play. The platforming is good and level layouts are well done. Game art stands out and has a charm. The story is interesting yet cliched but in a good way. The story doesn't stand out much among all the other story games in this world but its so lovable. UnderHero is a pleasant game to go through, with its hilarious dialogue and colorful cast of characters, this game is a joyful experience. The platforming could definitely use a bit more work as it sometimes isn't that engaging to do, and the combat does grow a bit repetitive after you know an enemy's pattern and how to dodge their attacks. The platforming could definitely use a bit more work as it sometimes isn't that engaging to do, and the combat does grow a bit repetitive after you know an enemy's pattern and how to dodge their attacks. The bosses are a breath of fresh air as they combine platforming and the combat to make for special fights that required more skill than usual. The combat itself is something new as it forgoes the turn-based combat from RPGs for a stamina system that requires you to spend your turns wisely or else you'll leave yourself open for enemy attacks. Overall, UnderHero is something new with inspiration of past RPGs to create a game with colorful characters, an engaging battle system, and a typical RPG story flipped on its head making for a great game to play through to the end. A fun unique, and charming RPG. Underhero has a interesting premise and a decent plot. the combat is nice and the bribery system is well done. the dialogue is very humorous and it knows when to be serous as well. I enjoy the art style and characters a lot and the game is well built save for a few platforms which can be a bit wonky along with a few other issues. but its fairly priced and iA fun unique, and charming RPG. Although Underhero will forever be one of my favourite games, the ending worlds do drag on a bit. Despite that, I recommend basically everyone try it, as it will definitely put a smile on your face.
