    Great soundtrack, amazing gameplay tech, a mostly straightforward but interesting lore. I literally made a metacritic account just to give this game a positive review because it absolutely deserves it. One of the most fun fps games I've ever set my hands on.

    One of the best games i've played hands down, with its unique arsenal of weapons (there is a mechanic that you flip a coin and shoot it in mid-air to deal extra damage, and you can even punch the pellets that you shoot out of your shotgun to make them go faster and explode with the right timing), very good level design, amazing gameplay and music that is so good its impressive that itsOne of the best games i've played hands down, with its unique arsenal of weapons (there is a mechanic that you flip a coin and shoot it in mid-air to deal extra damage, and you can even punch the pellets that you shoot out of your shotgun to make them go faster and explode with the right timing), very good level design, amazing gameplay and music that is so good its impressive that its even composed by a single guy (Hakita, who made/developed most of the whole game), even when the game is a little under HALF complete in early access, I'm still giving it a 10/10.… Expand

    This is going to be an Indie classic. Hakita really seems to know what he's doing. And what started as a passion project on Gmod projects has quickly turned in New Blood's newest masterpiece. With incredibly fast-paced action, amazing music, and just enough lore sprinkled in to keep you on edge. I'm

    Hands down the best game I've ever played. Imo there are no guns that you will never use, the revolvers have consistent damage and are hitscan. the green shotgun can overcharge taking out pretty much any group of enemies that aren't bosses (And you can avoid the damage by dashing) You can parry your own shotgun pellets to do more damage. the nailguns are great for the big Cerberus guysHands down the best game I've ever played.     This is quite probably the definition of perfect. It's the outcome of every good thing an Fps can have, all blended in together in such a majestic way that it has literally spoiled every other Fps for me as i no longer enjoy them after playing this absolute banger.     The plot is the most badass thing I've read.
    Mankind is Dead
    Blood is fuel
    Hell is full.
    Hell is beautiful, referencing Dante's inferno.

    The game wants you to be up and close in your enemies, the reason? Blood is fuel. That is metal right there.

    The game has infinite ammo and is pretty forgiving for new players, but the style meter allows more experienced players to grind and see their improvement. Nothing is as satisfying as getting the ULTRAKILL rank.

    The game isn't finished, but it's a SSSolid 10/10.    … Expand

    但しあらゆる方向から敵が出現するので避けきれず体力の減少は避けられないし、マップ上に回復アイテムは無い。
    ではどう体力回復するのかというと、敵に近づき大打撃を与えてその血を浴びることによって回復する。
    このリスクを取らないと回復出来ないという回復方法がゲームにメリハリを与えている。

    ・沢山のギミックのある銃とトリック
    武器はハンドガン・ショットガン・ネイルガン（マシンガン枠）・レールガンの4つと、パンチで、いずれも一般的なものだが、オルトファイアがユニーク。
    例えばハンドガンは打ち上げたコインを撃つことによって大打撃を与える能力を持っていたり、ショットガンは目視出来る攻撃（プロジェクタイル）を弾き返し可能。
    それぞれの銃に複数のオルトファイアや説明されないテクニックがあり、これらを習得することによってスコアを伸ばす楽しみがある。

    ・幅広い難易度
    とにかく爽快感だけ欲しい人から、テクニックをフルに活用してやっとクリア出来る難易度まで幅広い難易度が用意されている。

    ・愛着の湧く主人公と敵キャラ
    一言も喋らないし三人称で眺めるシーンも無いが何故か愛着が湧く。コミュニティは主人公V1のファンアートで溢れている。

    賛否両論点
    ・忙しすぎ？
    オーバーヒートや長いチャージを必要とする武器があり、これらを引き起こしている場合は別の武器に切り替えて攻撃しないとならないし、更に複数のオルトファイアを使い分けたい場合はこれも切り替えていく必要がある。即時に武器選択とオルトファイアを選択出来るキーコンフィグを練る必要があるかもしれない。
    但し、完全に不要と思える武器及びオルトファイアはステージ開始前に無効に出来、操作を単純化出来る。

    ・一部マップのギミックは複雑かも
    配線を辿って見つけるスイッチや少し意地悪なところに置かれた鍵など、次の戦闘への進行を阻む要素がいくつかのステージに存在する。
    但しリプレイ前提のつくりなので、リプレイするならばこれらを覚え、実行する楽しさがあるとも言える。
    更に武器の入手に関するシークレットもあり。

    ・グラフィック
    初代PSのようなグラフィック。敢えて時代を逆行するグラフィックで、嫌いな人は嫌いかも。

    悪いところ

    ・早期アクセス中
    未完成のまま開発が終わるかもしれない。もし今の方向性のまま完成したなら、この点は心配無用。
    また、現状実績及びトレカに非対応。

    ・コントローラーには未対応
    昨今コントローラーでFPSをプレイするという人も増えていると思うが、残念ながらこれには未対応。
    今後実装されるかというと、激しい振り向きや操作の正確性という観点から実装しない方針となる可能性が高そう。

    総評 シングルプレイのFPSの中では、初代DOOMから2021年のFPSを含めても、最高水準の出来。 似た方向性の有名作品にDoom Eternalがあるが、小難しいストーリーもなくスピード感はこちら方が上。爽快感は高いしグラフィック故動作は軽量。 リプレイ性も高く、操作技術の向上によって上達を感じることが出来るだろう。 マルチプレイのゲームしかしない、FPSに興味が無いという理由でもなければ絶対に見過ごすべきでない。 ULTRARECOMMENDED.    … Expand

The game is so much fun, has so many fun mechanics to learn and its worth it to replay levels since the score and rank system make them worth coming back to in order to get better scores once the player has gotten better at the game. It also has a fun storyline and since its published by new blood its officially in the same universe as other new blood titles.     Perfectly incentives you to play agressively and optimise your gameplay. I love the depth of combat and just how much you can exploit certain mechanics to make yourself overpowered. The level design is the best I have ever seen from movement shooters with stages forcing both caution and mobility optimisation. OST is simply amazing and I love ULTRAKILL.

    It is the best ADHD Simulation of all time! And a passion project made on a shoe string budget, with a combat system that is so artisanally tuned that you can compare this to a Rolex. The devs are meme lords, and the publisher    I am rating this 0 out of 10... just so you know exactly what Ultrakill is. This is the 1st game in which I can the epilepsy warning should be taken seriously.

    It is the best ADHD Simulation of all time! And a passion project made on a shoe string budget, with a combat system that is so artisanally tuned that you can compare this to a Rolex. The devs are meme lords, and the publisher loves puppies. The game know what its best parts are and leans in it, and the parts that are bad, it openly mocks. The game is 99% amazing.

    Walmart-brand Doom Eternal.
    You play with a lot of various abilities and weapons, but there's no motivation to try anything unique aside from flying around in circles and hold the trigger.
    At best it's a Quake clone, and even then I've had more fun playing Quake.

The game is extremely fast paced, challenging and full of secrets, while also fixing numerous problems that many other similar games have.     ULTRAKILL is a very fun and intense game, it is very intense and the easter eggs are awesome cameos to other games and some funny secret items and characters, this game in my eyes is better than DOOM Eternal because it has fewer weapons, but more variants. you can rocket jump, ricochet bullets, and more! ULTRAKILL is definitely an awesome game and I give it a 10/!0.

    The best single player shooter I have ever played. Has amazing in-depth weapons that actually have variety, and there are creative ways to combine the weapons (literally marksman gun). The OST absolutely slaps, and I love the art style. This game is early access and yet it is better than 90 percent of modern AAA games.

    While DUSK looks like the first DOOM this ULTRAKILL looks like DOOM 2016. If you have a PC that doesn't run DOOM 2016 you can buy ULTRAKILL because it is the closest game that exists to the most modern DOOM. I'm only giving it a 9 because it's a hard game to master even on easy

    Just epic. The soundtrack, the story, the guns, and every combination you can make, many secrets and secret bosses. It is just great. It's Doom Eternal but as an arcade and 100 times more fun

This game has an amazing story, great character design, Gabe and Minos on violent are probably the hardest video game bosses you will ever fight, cant wait for the other difficulties to release. This game has by far the best weapons in a vudeo you will ever use, like throwing a coin in the air and shooting it to deal more damage. I'm not gonna go in depth about it too much, but the best way to describe ultrakill is that it gives me a **** ULTRABONER from playing it.… Expand

    The first time i load up ultrakill i thot it was just a fast paced fps but no! Ultrakill is not a game is and experience, you start to get new weapons and go down the layers of hell but then, the game ended! But realy the game have a lot of replayability expeciality when doing a p rank!

    This game is honestly one of if not the best FPS i’ve played ever. The gameplay never feels stale as theres always many combos you can use to kill enemies and try to get the highest style rank for as long as you can, though there is said to be only 3 Acts (each containing 10 levels and 5 bossfights (including levels)). As im writing this Act 2 is the most recent update so far and i’veThis game is honestly one of if not the best FPS i’ve played ever. The gameplay never feels stale as theres always many combos you can use to kill enemies and try to get the highest style rank for as long as you can, though there is said to be only 3 Acts (each containing 10 levels and 5 bossfights (including levels)). As im writing this Act 2 is the most recent update so far and i’ve finished it fairly fast (10 hours).

    The gameplay is very fast paced and requires lots of skill, a lot of negative reviews on Steam say something along the lines of “no gay sex” (which sadly is true…) and “The game is too hard”. Now, ive played the game on the second easiest difficulty out of 4 (with two harder ones to release soon) and i will agree it is fairly difficult, but it just requires fast unpredictable movement and good aim, one you get better at those you will have almost no problem with the game.

    There is also an endless arena mode called “The Cyber grind” which puts you through waves of enemies with a selection of random maps to fight then in, with each wave getting harder and harder.
    The best part about it for me is that you can customise the map layout (though this will not save your score on the leaderboard) and custom textures for the cubes (yes, the arena is entirely made of cubes)

    The music in this game is just pure eargasm, with insane guitar riffs and fast paced rhythm, to calm 1920’s jazz music, it really adds to the intensity of the game and makes you feel more of an unstoppable force.

    Anyways thats my review, BUY THE GAME!

    The game isn't even fully out yet and I love it! The P-2 update, damn that was good, still trying to get a P-rank on violent to this day. Music is amazing, all of the bosses are extremely fun to fight. The levels are masterfully designed. Just great so far! I hope Hakita and crew can keep this quality up!

    When the new DOOM came out back in 2016 I played the **** out of that game...but still if I played it more than a few hours my brain would get fried and kinda feel numb. Well, ULTRAKILL gives that same feeling times a hundred. And I fvking love it. It is BRUTALly difficult. Soundtrack is SSADISTIC. Most importantly it is SUPREMEly fun. Hungrily waiting for ACT III.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. 10/10, this game is the PERFECT boomer shooter, the game has a perfect soundtrack and great level composition, including the new hardest level P-2 with lots of enemies, then a boss. Talking about bosses, every boss is hard the first time, but as soon as you find the rhythm, it just falls right into place. No more **** deaths, no more complaining, just blood, shoot, blood, shoot, occasional railcoin, shoot. The healing system is just the best, a high risk yet high reward, the higher the style, the lower the hard damage, and i love it that way. Just getting an Interruption x3 is already enough to make my monkey brain activate all of its neurons. Now, the next best thing would be the sex update… Expand

    This game is **** awesome, it has became the only thing I play so far, the soundtrack is marvelous, the mechanics are ultrapolished and I can only thing on two things bad from this **** the green railcannon and the fact of that there is no robot sex.

The game has a very versatile weapon system, even with only 5 weapons and 16 variations (including alternate variations) you can do alot. The game does not make you kill your enemies the most efficient way, but in a stylish way. Each boss like Gabriel, Minos Prime, V2, etc. are fun, They are annoying, but if you beat the it's more of a: "this boss was sick as hell". With still witjh 1 more weapon and 6 variations on the way, the game will be even better at combo's. The story is good, but yet the best feature is florp.… Expand

While I can say that you can beat most stages with decent practice, it is still a spectacular experience that any player should immerse themselves in.     The game is too unfair. then it can be frustrating. but i like hard fps, if you really don't like a game that is too unfair don't buy it, you are missing out on one of the best masterpieces created in fps games, if you like doom you will love this game. beware of getting frustrated
