    Best musket/rifle combat and management game since Empire Total War. About 30 hours worth of gameplay. Highly recommended.

    Besides the historic battles on detailed maps you are also in charge of managing your brigades inbetween the fights, including deploying new divisions (infantry, skirmish, artillery, cavalrey units) with real civil war commanders, historic weapons to equip and having a look at your economy    If you like strategy games which have the civil war as background, this is the one for you.

    Battles are fought in realtime, but you have enough time to give orders to your troops. Don´t imagine a faced paced strategy game like starcraft ;-) Easy clicks to give orders to your troops makes the game very friendly for beginners and veterans due to three different difficulty levels.     What a gem of a game. This is civil war tactical combat at its best. The graphics are good but 2d to represent 3d. This allows large numbers of soldiers on the screen. Sound is good and unit management is also great.
    Things to change to make this a 10. Them map needs a little improvement so that units react to in in a more realistic way. For instance units will sometimes form across water features like they are not there. Additionally while I loved The unit customisation screen I felt the officers got promoted too quickly, so that generals would be commanding units that traditionally a Major or Colonel would.    … Expand

    An excellent game about a war little known in Europe. A game that does not take sides and that allows you to relive each battle on both sides. The content is more than correct and quite important! For lovers of strategy games I recommend

    This is an absolutely beautiful game deserving of praise and attention. I sunk 80 hours into the campaign on the hardest difficulty. Every mission was interesting and the scaled well in challenge.

    All in all, excellent work by the development team.

    A very successful war simulation of the bloodiest conflict in American history that boasts with a sophisticated artificial intelligence, impressive historical depth, but also a dynamic campaign that responds to your results on the battlegrounds. The only pity is the absence of multiplayer and a few unfinished design elements.
