    12 minutes starts off with an interesting top-down view of an apartment foyer. The tutorial and game mechanics are offered by navigating down the hallway to your apartment door and opening it. The controls and gameplay are a very straight forward click and drag system which is very intuitive.

    The graphics are quite nice for the style and suits the story and gameplay. It is nothing special though and no use of ray tracing or any particularly breathtaking visuals. The voice cast were great and this is no surprise considering the three main actors were James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley and Willem DaFoe. No expense spared in the casting department which helps with the immersion.

    The game revolves around your tiny apartment with your wife and is played out in real time with a maximum of 12 minutes through any given time loop. Each time someone dies or the current story is played out the story is rewound back to the start of the 12 minutes and the loop starts again.

    Whilst it does sound extremely monotonous, each play through gives you more information and answers in order to use that newly acquired information to go forward the loop after and it continues until you are able to solve the mystery and get one or several of the many endings. I thought the story was excellent and was not disappointed.

    I can see how some people may be turned off by the repetitiveness of running through the same scene and dialogue over and over again, but for me this was the interesting part. It wasn't until I was attempting achievements that it started to feel a bit grindy.

    I had an absolute blast searching for new ways to gather more information and get closer to the end and thought it was a very clever way for a point and click puzzle/adventure game if you would even call it that. This was one of my favourite games in a long time and I can't wait for Annapurna Interactive to try something similar in a new release. I would definitely be playing on launch that's for sure!    … Expand

    Simply amazing. One of the best experiences all-time.
    Awesomely atmospheric, thrilling, exciting, surprising, frustrating, demanding but rewarding.
    If you like time-loop experience, you'll live an experience you'll never forget.
    In his genre niece, a wonderfully crafted masterpiece, made with heart.

    One of the most intriguing games I played in the past 10 years. Reminded me a lot of memento. I absolutely loved the atmosphere and how you need to think and adjust to situations without having the game tell you what to do with texts or pointers on your screen. The immersion was on point.     This game is a masterpiece. One of the best games I've played in years. It's simple and complex at the same time. You have to be smart to be able to finish. Those who give this game negative marks are because they are not smart enough and are frustrated at being a loser.

    Some little bugs here and there, but the overall experience is amazing. Game isn't repetitive at all but sometimes you may need to guess to procede further in the story

    The game is very interesting, the concept for the story is totally amazing especially the voice acring. So many plot twist in the game that im not expecting and yet i still dont know why this game have a lot of hater because the concept of this game is time loop. Maybe that type of person has a small brain to understand the story. Totally a masterpiece

    This game is amazing! Absolutely take the time to play it if you have an opportunity, even if this kind of game doesn't seem like your thing. I absolutely loved it & I hope we get more games like this on Game Pass.

    Su simpleza pero al mismo tiempo lo alto que intenta llegar este juego me fascina aunque le falta un pulido en las animaciones o incluso detalles simples como poner algunos efectos o música mas tensa en momentos justos mejorarían aun mas el juego pero increíble para un juego indie

    Its simplicity but at the same time how high this game tries to reach fascinates me although it lacks a polish in the animations or even simple details such as putting some effects or more tense music in just moments would improve the game even more but incredible for an indie game

    I don’t know why are so many reviewing bomb this as a bad game. It has and amazing cast worth good voice acting. The story is unique and will leave you wanting for more, especially with the ending. I love that the developers is making this story in a different eay then a normal story based game, really creative.     I'm loving this game, it's an experience unlike anything I've ever played. I get why some people find it frustating to reapeat the same loop several times trying to figure out what to do differently. But, that's exactly what happens in any movie about a person stuck in a time loop. I've always found this theme fascinating and they gave me the opportunity to experience it instead of just watching

    Loops were excellent, the gameplay was not frustrating, the cast makes you feel so many emotions.
    It had been a while since a game gave me goosebumps, the bad rating out there are just frustrated they could not resolve the flow.
    It is free on GamePass right now, give it a shot and make your own opinion.

    El juego es muy bueno, tiene un avance progresivo y una buena historia basada en las repeticiones. El único defecto es que puede llegar a frustar en ciertos momentos sobre qué hacer para seguir avanzando, pero una vez te lo pasas, sabrás que todo estaba siempre allí.

    O jogo tem uma ideia muito boa e uma narrativa bem intrigante, as várias possibilidades de mudança na história e nos diálogos é algo que merece elogios. A gameplay entretanto, é muito simples e não apresenta nenhuma mecânica nova.

    Ok so first time playing through the game it's very exciting because you're figuring out everything and wondering "ok what happens if I do this or that" then once you figure out how everything works the next question you ask is "I know the important information and got the tools I need how do I use it".     And if you do (as I), you'll find a whole lot to like in this game. Puzzles are fun and cleverly balanced - they walk this fine line between being to obvious and too abstruse. Yes, there's some "video game logic", as I said - this is a classic adventure game. But at the same time for anyone who grew up loving those kind of games seeing that template realised in such a "high tech" fashion is a revelation (nowadays you either get super-low-fi classic point and clicks or high production values "choice and consequence" narrative romps with no classic gameplay).

    The plot is interesting and engaging throughout, even if the plot twist is a bit over elaborate. But at the same time it invites discussion and interpetation.

    La cantidad de gente frustrada por un titulo de puzzles es increíble, es bueno que de vez en cuando salgan títulos con puzzles de esta dificultad. hoy en día muchos aclaman un modo fácil en sagas tan icónicas por su dificultad en títulos souls cuando esto es su esencia. los puzzles igual tienen derecho de tener un nivel de dificultad alta sobre todo este que lo justifica completamente enLa cantidad de gente frustrada por un titulo de puzzles es increíble, es bueno que de vez en cuando salgan títulos con puzzles de esta dificultad. hoy en día muchos aclaman un modo fácil en sagas tan icónicas por su dificultad en títulos souls cuando esto es su esencia. los puzzles igual tienen derecho de tener un nivel de dificultad alta sobre todo este que lo justifica completamente en si experiencia, desarrollo y el final que es abrumadoramente bueno y fascinante. pd: se agradecen las ideas tan originales como esta, pensar que este juego hizo que Kojima se animara a volver con una nueva ip te deja bien claro que no es un juego común hoy en día y eso es todo lo que esta bien.… Expand

    [Spanish] Un juego corto pero entretenido, lo de tener muchos finales me recuerda a reventure, llegado a un punto es dificil encontrar nuevas pistas ya que hay que fijarse en TODO lo que veas, después e 3h no consigo el final verdadero, recomendado, no se hace repetitivo porque sie pre se te ocurre algo que hacer.

    the story of the game is amazing and ending it is perfect but if anyone didnt saw the true ending i recommended to go and see it . the game play is great but for the half of the way because when the day restarting you have to do some works that gets boring but if you looking for a great story this game is your game

    Pros: - Memorable story and twists - Well optimized and no performance problems or major bugs except for some visual clipping - Immersive and addictive    I enjoyed Twelve Minutes immensely and would recommend it to anyone who's a fan of time lopps and trial and error puzzle design.
    Absolutely love when games make you think and can reasonably be presented to a general audience as art.

    Pros:
    - Memorable story and twists
    - Well optimized and no performance problems or major bugs except for some visual clipping
    - Immersive and addictive
    - Kept the scope small, but delivered a lot inside that scope.

    Cons:
    - A lot of waiting for things to happen
    - The ways to skip already experienced dialogue are not effective enough

    +mindblowing true ending making you think about the story for several days
    +original concept
    +atmospheric

    -repetitive
    -grinding - you can achieve the true ending only by accident
    -holes in the story making it confusing
    -once you find out what you have to do, it's too primitive - you can finish the game in under 15min

    The game is not perfect, some dialogues and their consequences are not consistent, but the result is an excellent game. If you like games that don't consist in mashing buttons, if you like riddles and point and click games, you must play this.     Don't know why so many people complain about this game. I completed and 100% the game in less then 5 hours, it realy isn't that hard and there are moooore then enough tips given in the dialog. Mostly I am somebody who gets stuck easy in these kind of games, but this one was a real cassual one.

    A really well thought out story about time. From its references to The Shining all the way to the climactic finale, this game is a really well designed puzzle game, backed up with some phenomenal voice acting from some of Hollywood's best actors.

    Solid solid 8.4 … Really good game. It is frustrating at times, but it has a great time loop story. Not quite as good as The Forgotten City, but the time loop aspects carry a mystery with many surprises, and a surprising amount of freedom.

    Un título especial donde el bucle temporal es el protagonista, sabe llevar bien la narrativa y meterte cierta angustia, puede llamar la atención la vista de la cámara pero tengo que reconocer que se hace sentir único y que estás jugando algo diferente, no quiero decir mucho más para no caer en spoilers, pero es un juego que no dejará indeferente a nadie.

    very good exciting game, interesting concept it feels like something new after each loop you will get more information which will be helpful in the next loop i don't want to spoil anything, this interactive thriller is worth it.

    Very Fun and unique point and click adventure style game. It's a time loop, and dark and gritty. I very much enjoyed this game. I am currently stuck in a spot, due to not playing the game for a real long time and dont remember all the clues. I would be willing to start it all over also.

    Definitely not without it's flaws. The game does very little explaining in the way of what your end-goal is. And I can definitely see people getting confused, impatient, or frustrated with the gameplay. I caught on to the mechanics of the game fairly    Fantastic game.     I found the gameplay mechanics, voice acting, visual and sound design, and narrative all to be engaging. It kept me trying to find the solution for hours.

    Fans of games such as The Stanley parable, Undertale, fallout, etc. Will likely enjoy this game or appreciate it .    … Expand

    During my time playing 12 minutes I enjoyed my experience. I didn’t like some of the movement controls but the loop was really fun but there were parts I got a bit stuck on. Overall a good experience

    It's a shame that so many people are tarnishing the User Score of this game. If you like point and click adventures I really encourage you to play this game. Maybe you'll like the story, maybe you won't, but giving it a zero is an outrage.

    The story keeps you engaged right until the very end, and even after the credits roll there are still things left to be discovered.     Fantastic little gem, very compelling plot. I lost track of time trying to figure out what I was going to do differently each loop to get more information.

    I think the bad reviews are by morons who couldn’t figure out how to move ahead in the game, or simpletons who just enjoy shooting things.

    A pretty good puzzle game which stuck in a time loop. Game design is simple, you got twelve minutes before the next time loop comes and in that time you must looking for new clues for advance the story. As much as i like this game design, most people won't like it. Because game trying to do this idea realistic as much as they can. I've yet to finish this game, but the few hours I've spent in it, I would put my name on calling it a masterwork. The slowly unbuilding story, piecing everything together, I love it. Yurtdışında fiyatlar ne bilmiyorum ama Türkiye şartlarında 4-5 saat bir oyunun 70 Lira olması manasız. Diğer yandan diyaloglar bence gayet iyi. Sizi ortamın ambiyansına sokabiliyor. Son olarak diyebileceğim bazı yerlerde oyunun size sunduğu seçenekler zayıf ve kötü kalabiliyor. Örneğin; eşimizi binadan çıkarma çabamız zayıf sadece 'Lütfen, gel.' diyoruz o kadar. Tamam her türlü binadan çıkamıyoruzda en azından kolunda tutup çıkarmaya çalışsaydık. Bunu gibi bazı yerlerde örnekleri var. Bence bana göre oyunun en büyük can sıkan tarafı. Bir yerde artık tüm gerçekleri öğreniyoruz ve babamızla karşılaşıyoruz ve orda üç seçenek sunuyor ve her türlü o üç seçenektede babamız ölüyor ben şahsen orda demek istiyorum. 'Tamam kızından uzak duracam.' diye ama yok işte. Tamam daha sonra bu seçenek çıkıyor ama ben orda demeyi isterdim.

It can immerse you in the ambiance of the environment. Finally, in some places, the options offered by the game can be weak and bad. E.g; Our effort to get our wife out of the building is weak, just 'Please, come.' that's what we say. Okay, if we can't get out of any building, we should at least try to pull it out by holding it in your arm. There are examples of this in some places. I think it's the most annoying part of the game in my opinion. At one point, we learn all the facts and we meet our father and he offers three options there, and our father dies in any of those three options, I personally want to say there. 'Okay, I'll stay away from your daughter.' but there isn't. Ok, then this option appears, but I would like to say there.    … Expand

    I'm a sucker for time loop games and movies. It made this one an easy choice and I had a lot of fun with it. The game takes place in a tiny apartment, which means trying everything doesn't take too long.

    Recommendation: It's short. It's fun. If you have Game Pass there's no reason not to!

    Great Game at the beginning, frustrating towards the end. At the beginning of the game, you start picking apart the puzzle of the mystery. It's satisfying to know that as you get each clue, that you can figure out how to unlock new pieces of the puzzle

    However, toward last quarter part of the game, you'll be REALLY struggling to move forward without a guidebook or something because    Great Game at the beginning, frustrating towards the end.     Die Sprecher sind alle Prominent besetzt und das hört man auch deutsche Sprachausgabe gibt es keine in Fall von diesem Spiel ist das aber aufgrund der hervorragenden Original Synchro verkraftbar.
    Am Ende noch kurz was zur Spieldauer, mit den 4 Stunden die man braucht um fertig zu werden, manche vielleicht etwas länger wenn sie alle Enden sehen wollen ist Twelve Minutes mit 21 Euro vielleicht doch etwas zu teuer. Dazu gesagt das ich normalerweise bei Singleplayer Spielen wie Las of Us usw. nie Probleme habe 70 Euro für10 Stunden zu bezahlen.
    Das Spiel ist aber im Game Pass enthalten wenn ihr den habt versucht das Spiel auf jeden fall mal, wenn ihr den nicht habt wartet vielleicht lieber bis es günstiger wird oder in einem Sale landet.    … Expand

    Первые пару часов игры очень необычные и интересные, под конец лютое душнилово без перемотки некоторых диалогов. Ну и не продумано на самом деле много вариантов которые я пробовал, игра просто игнорила мои действия)

    I found it interesting to play. The looping concept of the game is nice and you can try out many things. The plot twist is kind of absurd though and makes the ending not that rewarding.

The first half of the story is very intriguing, but then you come across very strange plot twists, which leave you with the question: stop, what?     In short terms, it's a good game with a good idea. It has nice visuals, good set of puzzles, excellent cast and great voice acting. But, it delivers a average story, that has some unnecessary plots and frustrating loops that will requires some patience to be solved(although, in my opinion it is intended to). It's very recommended to be played on Game Pass if you don't like or aren'tIn short terms, it's a good game with a good idea.     Twelve minutes is a puzzle game with the theme of time loop. Although the scenes are rich in details and the art design is attractive, the mediocre gameplay and bad ending ruin everything the game has come before.

    It’s one of those cases where it’s really hard to rate a game. It has a great concept and good plot delivery, but actual gameplay is incredibly frustrating. You’re stuck in the loop along with your character, with no way to fast-forward the events, and you have to meticulously try every possible combination, until find the trigger that will open up a new option. And then you re-check it all over again. [Issue#256, p.44]

    Used to atypical games, the publisher Annapurna Interactive surprises us once again with Twelve Minutes. Yes indeed the game has some rigid animations, not really worthy in 2021, game is quite short, and the system of dialogues isn't perfect, but the stifling atmosphere, the atypical staging, the surprising scenario and the puzzles are really worth the detour in our opinion.
