    The main flaw of this rogue lite is probably that it is a rogue lite. The saturated rogue market is fast becoming a train wreck, each game trying to be more punishing and frustrating than the last and, from what I can see, to be cheaper to produce. This game just piles too many frustrations on top of each other, easy starter enemies that have a lot of health, random projectile locationsThe main flaw of this rogue lite is probably that it is a rogue lite. This game just piles too many frustrations on top of each other, easy starter enemies that have a lot of health, random projectile locations that are sometimes undodgable, a fairly long distance to the first boss. The boss uses fairly easy area denial attacks only, but what tricks you is after they are fired they stay active for an unclear amount of time, catching you as you move back in to strike the boss. The boss has a shield that you must take down before doing damage, and once it is down it will go all the way back up. The health pool in addition to the shield is huge. The game is more tiring than challenging.

    The beat-em up combos seemed decent, though I never got the plummet skill to work which should slap down knocked up enemies. Getting higher style grades with no skills unlocked involved jumping and slapping enemies when close to the ground, not sure that was the best idea for a mechanic, not sure it was intentional even. Again as a beat-em up I feel this game might succeed, but it would have been better served letting you simply retry bosses on death like Dark Souls or Cuphead, rather than snoozing through boring enemy filled "rooms" again to reach it like a rogue-lite. The random power up system on a run isn't a good idea either, some items make a run super easy, some are useless.

    One draw of this type of game is supposed to be multi player potential. And who exactly is going to play this with you? The steep learning curve and high difficulty from the start, as well as frequent restarts would make that a painful experience quickly, the opposite of the usual beat-em up genre.

    The overall graphics and sound are good, but there's no voice acting I'm pretty sure, and each room seems the same. The cheapness starts to show. I feel like the idea was good, and things like the number of selectable characters was a plus, but a game still has to be enjoyable. Ciao gamers.    … Expand

    Great art style and music. Surprising boss fights and references to peruvian culture.
    You feel you are getting better at the game each run and you gain new abilities that change
    Tunche delivers what it sets out to do. Be a great blend of Beat-em-up Rogue-like.

    First peruvian game that shows the perspective of our culture from native developers. Even if you don´t like the genre, give it a try!

    Amazing Art-style, cute characters, challenging boss fights but a tedious progression and lack of replayability. The game is fun, but the fun ends quickly unless you really like grinding. Our score for Tunche on PC is 6.3 and a round 7 on Switch since i found this game to be a great companion to play on the go.

    -even Enchanted edition didnt fix anything or change a thing.

    -very very very repetitive boring and tedious gameplay. -all u do fight waves of samy enemies over and over and over and over, boring bosses, grindy and very long loading screen.

    -only good have coop.

    10/10 ign hat kid's dance was in it very amazing game where you can play as hat child and beat up animals and save the rainforest

    Tunche isn't for everyone. Traditional beat-'em-up fans will like the frantic action of the combo system, even if it takes a few runs to get going, but they'll hate the lack of forward progression. Roguelike fans will enjoy the gradual character empowerment but hate the lack of randomization of bosses and enemies. It falls into a specific niche that appeases people who enjoy the minimal mixing of both, and in that respect, Tunche delivers an experience that can be enjoyable if you know what you're getting into.

    There is no denying that Tunche is one of the best Indie titles to be released this year. With a gorgeous art style, great character designs, a rock solid gameplay loop and some sweet action it is a joy to play and easy to learn. However it might prove a little too repetitive for some.

    Tunche is a spirited jungle jaunt. A charming action-adventure that wears its Peruvian heritage with the utmost pride. While the marriage of roguelite to brawler is definitely a solid fit — particularly in multiplayer — it cannot be denied that the repetitious trappings of both genres are readily apparent, which will be enough to turn off some players. Those well-versed in the grind and willing to put in the effort, however, will be rewarded with a very agreeable bout of forest fisticuffs. Now, about that animated series...
