Key choices you make will bolster one of three convictionsUtility, Morality, Libertywhich together make up Serenoa's world view and influence how the story will unfold. When faced with truly momentous decisions, multiple characters will weigh in by casting their votes on the Scales of Conviction. In these moments, the allies and decisions you make can determine the fate of whole nations and the continent of Norzelia itself.

Control multi-tiered battlefields to strategically secure victory
Finding the best location in turn-based battles can tip the tide of combat in your favor. Position units on higher ground to take control of the battlefield and gain the advantage with increased range. You can also flank enemies on both sides, then strike from behind for a powerful follow-up attack. Elemental chain reactions are also an important part of combat. For example, use fire to melt icy terrain, then use lightning to electrocute it. Push the enemy into the electrified water to see sparks fly!

Triangle Strategy is a fantastic tactical RPG, and I’m so very glad to see it ported over to the PC. It offers a near perfect balance of strategy gameplay, active worldbuilding, and passive worldbuilding to get players committed to Norzelia and her inhabitants. While the gameplay may be too handholdy for tactical veterans, its accessible enough to encourage you to spend more time playing the game rather than trying to customize characters to the best they can be. This port doesn’t really offer much of an incentive for those who own the Switch version, but…the game is near perfect as is. Why bother trying to improve on a stellar tactical RPG?

With a simple but efficient PC port, Triangle Strategy proves to be an excellent option for strategy RPG fans who may have missed its Switch release. With an engaging story and solid gameplay elements, the title remains one of the most notable releases for the genre this year.

Ultimately Triangle Strategy gets an excellent port, albeit one with fewer frills than we’d like. Still, that’s nothing the modding community can’t fix in very short order. Performance is fantastic on PC, and equally as good on Steam Deck. While the long-winded story might need work, there’s no denying the tactical combat.

Triangle Strategy serves up plenty of treats for players. An intrigue-filled story with well-written characters and deep combat are just a few. Classic pixel-art visuals and excellent sound design definitely add to it. Is the game worth picking up? In my opinion – yes, even several years after its release.

Triangle Strategy is an excellent addition to the genre, but it might be a disappointment for fans who were expecting a FFT or a Tactics Ogre Clone. The story is great, the replayability is high, and the gameplay is almost completely devoid of grind, but it still might be a turn-off for some players because of its steep price.

At its core, Triangle Strategy is a tale about the dangers of extremism. It paints a grisly picture of greed, selfishness, and horrors committed in the name of Unity, Morality, and Liberty. However, it also offers up the hope that the cycle of violence can be ended. Bringing true peace and understanding to Norzelia won’t be easy, but it is possible.

The art style is fabulous, the gameplay is incredible and the story and soundtracks are incredibly beautiful. The games story is absolutely well written and yes, the game has more story than gameplay but don't trust the user reviews, there is still enough gameplay to satisfy any SRPG veteran. If you want a Game of Thrones style betrayal story full of amazing characters with unique personalites within a deep SRPG gameplay style then Triangle Strategy it's the perfect game for you! Expand

It's the perfect Tactical Rpg, mixed with an interesting story and plagued with the scary word: "difficulty". It's difficult to do the right thing and even more so to play a battle withotu failing it at first or even second try.

it's a fantastic return for Square back to strategy games and it's overall a masterpiece of the genre. I'd say that unlocking the "true ending" may prove excessively tedious, but if you like the game, it won't be that excessive of a turnoff.

It's an authentic s-rpg, but the choice making thing... It keeps asking you make choices, and each will change the next chapter or so, but never gives you enough information to make any of them, so every single choice is like a gamble. It doesn't really matter, because whatever you choose, you will fight somebody in next chapter, but that just make the whole thing more stupid. The only reason this system exist is for the conviction system, which is another pain in the ass. By principle, sure, the difference among the 3 values makes all the difference, but trying to fit them into every dialogue and choice making is stupid Expand

This game is not recommended, the character growth is very unobvious.

The game emphasizes balance, ignoring the strong performance of characters.
