People say there is a lot of text and that the introduction feels slow, and it's true, but once you enter the game with it's beautiful characters and elaborated story between selfish nations you will discover a magnificent game where your decisions matters a lot. Underrated game

There is very little to say about Triangle Strategy.
It's the perfect Tactical Rpg, mixed with an interesting story and plagued with the scary word: "difficulty". It's difficult to do the right thing and even more so to play a battle withotu failing it at first or even second try.
it's a fantastic return for Square back to strategy games and it's overall a masterpiece of the genre. I'd

This game is not recommended, the character growth is very unobvious.

The game emphasizes balance, ignoring the strong performance of characters.

One of the worst introductions and on-boarding I've seen in recent gaming. The sheer amount of popups and text to read before doing anything, before being minimally invested into the game is just overwhelming.

Incredible srpg. The story is phenomenal & the gameplay is great. The graphics speak for itself. Buy if you’re a fan of HD 2D/tactical RPGs.

I like the gameplay and the story. It's an authentic s-rpg, but the choice making thing... It doesn't really matter, because whatever you choose, you will fight somebody in next chapter, but that just make the whole thing more stupid. The only reason this system exist is for the conviction system, which is another pain in the ass. By principle, sure, the difference among the 3 values makes all the difference, but trying to fit them into every dialogue and choice making is stupid Expand

Amazing! Highly polished. Never owning a Nintendo console, I've been unable to play Fire Emblem. Triangle Strategy is a great SRPG (strategy RPG), I'm told in the general style of Fire Emblem, and Triangle Strategy is available on PC.

I like the three parts of the game, story, exploration, and combat. If you're looking for a combat only game, this isn't it. I would say there are four parts to the game: the above three plus RPG. The RPG parts are the Roster management and hero/weapon/skills progression in the Encampment.
The game is very welcoming and forgiving to newbies on Easy and Normal difficulties. There isn't permadeath. A nice idea is even if you lose a battle, your heroes retain their experience gained, which helps you have a better chance when you re-fight the battle and makes losing not so completely dreadful.
Overall, very enjoyable it you lean into what it is and don't insist on what it isn't (especially you shouldn't resent that it's not combat dominant).
I'd welcome to see more games like this on PC.

Triangle Strategy, Triangle Strategy... The "game" is more visual novel than a strategy game. You only play 2 story battles (about 10mins each) in the first 2hrs of the game. In reality, it is 40% slow voiced cut scenes, 30% walking around talking to characters, 20% combat, 10% battle prep. The combat is fairly shallow and the large cast of characters pretty tropey generic. You want toTriangle Strategy, Triangle Strategy... The "game" is more visual novel than a strategy game. Triangle Strategy serves up plenty of treats for players. An intrigue-filled story with well-written characters and deep combat are just a few. Classic pixel-art visuals and excellent sound design definitely add to it. Is the game worth picking up? In my opinion – yes, even several years after its release.

Triangle Strategy is an excellent addition to the genre, but it might be a disappointment for fans who were expecting a FFT or a Tactics Ogre Clone. The story is great, the replayability is high, and the gameplay is almost completely devoid of grind, but it still might be a turn-off for some players because of its steep price.

Triangle Strategy wasn’t the game I thought it was when I accepted the review assignment, but I am glad I did because after I really got into the game I enjoyed the story, and the extremely tough decisions it asks the player to make. Triangle Strategy isn’t a perfect game but it is a really good time.
