    Enjoyed to learn the machanics. Interesting battle system, which I only won in tutorial. Fun fact, game is setted in italian, playing in italy, soldiers speak british english.

    Good and fun game. Compared to other older games in the series, the graphics are not so dated as to be disturbing today and therefore still playable.

    A crappy, bug-ridden disaster at release, but the developers stuck with it. After a dozen+ patches, they finally the game to where it needed to be. Combined all the DLC available, it's now one of the best games in the series.

    Absolutely disgusting release. They've fixed most of the bugs and **** later, but still, the taste of the crap on a release date is fresh as hell

    Я огромный фанат Тотал вар и я рад что есть такая часть этой гениальной серии как Тотал вар Рим 2 ,эта часть собрала в себе все самые интересные механики во всей серии и добавила свои, игра получила плохие рецензии из-за слишком раннего выхода, когда большая часть багов и системных ошибок не было убрано. Но разработчики доделали проект и в итоге эта игра стала одной из лучших стратегий заЯ огромный фанат Тотал вар и я рад что есть такая часть этой гениальной серии как Тотал вар Рим 2 ,эта часть собрала в себе все самые интересные механики во всей серии и добавила свои, игра получила плохие рецензии из-за слишком раннего выхода, когда большая часть багов и системных ошибок не было убрано.     After the last patch, this game is finally in a state I can recommend it. No need for mods anymore to enjoy it. No need to buy the DLC either. CA finally delivered.

    Nowadays it has not the same problems it had at launch. Very solid game with good gameplay. It might feel like a "map painter" but it's very fun to replay it now and then. It has still a good amount of players

    Невероятно разочаровывающая часть игры после которой я поставил крест на серии.. я буквально не мог узнать свою любимую серию игр. Тут само собой напрашивается "Look how they massacred my boy"

    At the start, the quality was not very good. But, over time, we managed to make a lot of additions correcting gameplay and expanding the player's capabilities. The project is essentially an icon of its time.

    как по мне, отличное улучшение по сравнению с первой частью, переработана система построек, улучшена графика, хотя могла бы быть и лучше. Но всё равно 400+ часов в стиме говорят сами за себя

    I played all Total War games and Rome II is by far my favourite. There are plenty of countries, quite a few campaigns (some in DLC), the political aspect is well developed, the buildings, units and political system are very different depending on the culture... Greta game.

    Still, I miss the creative and fascinating drawings and long descriptions of soldiers, buildings and generals in Rome: Total War. Total War: Rome 2 offers a major shortcoming in this regard. So, in Rome: Total War, the building you were going to build, the soldier, the diplomat or agent you were going to train had remarkable explanations and dazzling drawings. In Total War: Rome 2, for some reason, they added nothing but a few nonsense icons for the visual details that required it. I think the description part is okay because there is an encyclopedia.

    There were too many bugs when the game was first released. So, I think if I was going to list here, I can keep you here for a long time. Fortunately, they quickly fixed these bugs after the game's release. Now with various DLCs, the game offers more playtime and characteristic, but none of these DLCs is amazing like Barbarian Invasion or Alexander. The DLCs allow you to play only a small part of the same game separately.

    Overall, Total War: Rome 2 may seem more attractive to those who are new to the Total War series. I can say that it is much more effective with its high-quality soldier animations, designs and improved army and state administration elements. However, Total War: Rome 2 will never be able to give pleasure like Rome: Total War.    … Expand

    I give this a 7/10 because its a good total war game, people who are giving it low marks for (Insert reason) Kind of seam to forget that no one else has done it better in this genre so far.

    La première chose que je constate, c’est la perte de liberté ressentie par rapport au premier Rome de la franchise. Le gameplay est très différent avec le système de région que l’on retrouve ici. Si graphiquement il est dans la lignée des Total War, qu’est-ce qui est passé par la tête des développeurs concernant les cartes d’unités qui ne sont    → Trembler devant la puissance de Rome !

    What a mess. Even with all the fancy mods. Sure, I put in close to 200hrs, but most of that time was spent trying to get my units off a siege tower without falling into the wall and disappearing. Also, the family tree and politics stuff is terribly optimized and a waste of time. Etc etc. See Reynald Sanity's youtube video to get my drift.

    Buy on super sale only.

    Total War Rome 2, a game that has seen a lot of glitch, a lot of updates and content. Only the game is good, although the campaigns look the same and are a bit boring towards the end. With the DLC the game is excellent and offers a diversity of troops, campaign and period very, very interesting! The proposed factions are not cheated so it is not a pay to win and the campaigns range as muchTotal War Rome 2, a game that has seen a lot of glitch, a lot of updates and content. Only the game is good, although the campaigns look the same and are a bit boring towards the end. With the DLC the game is excellent and offers a diversity of troops, campaign and period very, very interesting! The proposed factions are not cheated so it is not a pay to win and the campaigns range as much from the rise of Rome centuries before Caesar, to a serious civil war in the 270s through the Punic wars and the peloponnesian war.     ACTUALMENTE es uno de los mejores Total war que puedes comprar, gráficamente ha envejecido muy bien (en mayor medida por la cantidad de contenido que han ido agregando) .     I hadn't played any other TW games before this so perhaps my views aren't as refined as others and suffer from lack of variety but what I do know is, I had a great time playing this and clocked well over 1000 hours on it.
    I've only ever suffered from minor bugs which were only slight annoyances but overall the view and scale of the battles were mind-blowing at the time i first played. It    I hadn't played any other TW games before this so perhaps my views aren't as refined as others and suffer from lack of variety but what I do know is, I had a great time playing this and clocked well over 1000 hours on it.
    I've only ever suffered from minor bugs which were only slight annoyances but overall the view and scale of the battles were mind-blowing at the time i first played. It could be improved with tweaks such as options to turn off certain features in campaign but overall I enjoyed this game greatly and consider it a solid way to waste whole days.    … Expand

    Uninspiring installment. Total war has barely evolved over the years and the game concepts show their age, even when all the bugs are fixed.

    Great game after all the updates.. My favourite dlc is wrath of sparta and is worth buying if you like ancient greeks and also if you download the mod HELLENIKA which is a mod absolutely for wrath of sparta you will experience the ancient greeks with many more units all of them historical accurate and a much better campaign ...Give it a try you wont regret it!!! Make sure to read theGreat game after all the updates.. My favourite dlc is wrath of sparta and is worth buying if you like ancient greeks and also if you download the mod HELLENIKA which is a mod absolutely for wrath of sparta you will experience the ancient greeks with many more units all of them historical accurate and a much better campaign ...Give it a try you wont regret it!!!     The game is far less polished than Shogun 2, and a few more patches will help, but Rome II is still a flawed game that is underwhelming when compared to previous titles in the franchise.

    And here’s the rub: every addition, every sub-system, every mechanic is subservient to War. War is what Total War is really about. Everything else not directly related to conflict comes across as ancillary. Rome II is a game for warmongers, on both the campaign map and, obviously, on the battlefield. When peace is happening, nothing is happening. When war is happening, Rome comes alive.
