    Ahhaha, fun as hell, worthy of a 10/10 mainly cause its just so fun, shooting, killing, mameing crazy littles, going into Day Of The Dead mode is a joy in itself. Perfect for hte genre.

    Game is great and all, Story is just perfect. I wish there was a remaster for that. The only problem is that it's impossible to play at higher resolution than 720p.

    My only complaint about this game is that Ernesto,Tommy and Ram all have the same voice actor,other than that I absolutely love this game,definatelly recommend at least trying,although it does sound like if Quentin Tarantino made a game by borrowing some things from Max Payne and Gta which yes it did it's still extremely fun,10/10

    This to GTA is what Johnny English is to a James Bond film. Of course this isn't serious. But that's the point. It's supposed to be fun and a mick-take of GTA. Cheaply made? Perhaps. Original, fun and a good laugh? Definitely!

    most fun game ever. Better than gta 3, vice city. I love this game. The musics and action great. The stoy is great You must play this game!!!!!!!!!!

    Il ne s'agit pas vraiment d'un jeu à la GTA, car Total machin n'est pas un monde ouvert mais un mélange taré d'un Max Payne et d'un Stranglehold.... à la mexicaine ! mais ce n'est pas tout : on trouve également tout le manque de sérieux d'un Serious Sam, à savoir un niveau de beauf' attitude et de connerie répétée (et répétitive) tout-à-fait alarmant...

    On s'emmerde à forte cadence là-dedans, Total truc accumule en effet les lourdeurs de sa propre bêtise décidément trop bête qui crève tous les plafonds ou presque... tandis que la jouabilité générale reste globalement moyenne et la conduite est pour sa part très... lunaire ! Le côté très arcade des affrontements (avec bonus à activer, icônes à ramasser, etc) est assez consternant et par ailleurs, l'autre aspect -plus secondaire- du monde proposé ici (en assez **** niveaux) rappelle la connerie de ces merdes de Just Cause, ce qui n'est pas pour plaire, bien au contraire...

    Graphiquement moyen, le jeu fonctionne néanmoins très bien sur Windows 7, sans protester, comme un grand ! on peut regretter que seules les résolutions 4/3 soient disponibles (comme trop de jeux de cette période) mais on ne va pas faire la fine bouche. Autre sujet d'étonnement pour une daube de cet acabit, une VF intégrale presque aussi beauf que le reste du jeu mais on ne va pas se plaindre non plus.

    Nous voilà donc finalement en présence d'un jeu très con et très bourrin, assez vilain (même sur PC) mais fluide (pourvu que le PC ne date pas de 2005...) mais en overdose de connerie généralisée et ça, c'est rédhibitoire...    … Expand

    Whilst not as polished as GTA, I found this game unadulterated fun. The setting and music complement the style of play and though not long, kept me interested throughout.

    One of the good action games I have played.
    This game would have got more score if it have focus little bit on open world.
    Great game for action lover but not for me.

    Total Overdose is the mixture of Max Payne, Grand Theft Auto, El Mariachi and a bunch of other games and movies. It is funny, crazy, even chaotic, but honestly, a mess.

    This is a great game. It should definitely be rated higher since the gameplay mechanics and movie scenes are great. I say this is one of the most under rated and under appreciated games during the time. Moreover this great game should definitely need a sequel since the gameplay and game mechanics in this game is not used in any other games as of this day.

    The game is overall pretty fun, and it's certainly very good for its time. However, my rating comes more from nostalgia from my childhood than from anything else, so don't expect anything too flashy

    I totally love this game. It's like Mexican Saints Row combined with Max Payne. It should get -1 point for bad graphics but it's so underrated and forgotten yet so much fun I'm giving it 10/10
    It also has one of the best soundtracks in history.

    The vehicle animations and physics is downright pathetic. The level design isnt that good and often involve some frustrating levels out of nowhere. The como attacks is an amazing inclusion or else the shooting wouldve been tasteless because gunplay is terrible and unrealistic. Automatic aiming golden gun, guitar gun, tornado etc etc. You can even rewind time. Car handling is garbage and not fun. They feel like timbery. Physics are also very bad. Open world is empty and it is not    Max payne shootdodge+gta but hundred times worse.

    There is lot of games contribution to my obsession to video games. The first game i played in internet cafe was GTA: Vice City and thanks to this game i earned a good hobby. I played countless game after it and i enjoyed each of them as well. But the game on which the most impact me was Total Overdose, because the game was mixture of the games i played before. I played countless game after it and i enjoyed each of them as well. But the game on which the most impact me was Total Overdose, because the game was mixture of the games i played before. In the game i could tumble like in The Prince of Persia, i could bounce and slow time like in The Max Payne and i was driving car like in GTA. First time in my life i was playing game which blend these games very nicely. When i played the game as someone in 23 years old and reviewed a lot of games, i enjoyed as if i'm in 10 years old, yet when i play the game critically, i realized the game is bad in several ways.

    The game has a quite good action mechanics, still the makers of the game focused on this so much that they forgot to make good open world and driving mechanics, i'll get into that issue soon; but i want to describe its action part a little more. When you conflict with enemy, you can slow time like in The Max Payne; when you die in this conflict you can rewind time and tumble over the wall, like in The Prince of Persia. Although the game mixture of some games, it has a unique part. That unique part is you can start to conflicts by jumping from your car and by doing that you can do chaos to your surroundings.

    The abilities that i've never seen in any action games, made the game more fun. For instance, thanks to the ability with name Tornado, you're shoot every where with uzi in your hands. And with El Mariachi, by taking two guitar boxes in your hands you're tearing enemy apart. There is a lot of abilities in the game like these.

    The game's musics are like artery of the game. The musics glorified the soul of the action. That is, the makers did so much good musics that i can confict with enemy for hours with these musics; you know...

    Some enemies has Mexican hat and you can wear it by killing them. Of course if you accomplish to catch and wear the hat flying in air. Speaking of hat, lets get into headshots in the game. There is auto aim in the game but unfortunately you cant turn it off. If you were turn it off, the action would be more good.Anyway, as soon as you see the enemy with red aim, hold the right click and after 1 second focus, you can shot the enemy from the head.

    There is tokens in the game. You can upgrade your maximum health by collecting them. In the mean time you can upgrade your weapons too. The more you collect token, the more you wear two hand weapons. Instance, if you collect 10 token, you can use two wielded pistol. From the rocket launcher to shotgun You can wear every weapon in your two hand. It sounds a little crazy, right? Anyway,You can collect these tokens by completing challenges, wandering around city and earning points. The more you do combo, the more you earn points. The points are not only giving you tokens, but also a lot of feature.

    Open world of the game is really bad. The world is big as vice city's half as and divided into a few province. Each you enter that one of the provinces you're come cross loading screen. When you bump into a pedestrian with a slow car, it flying as if you bump into it with fast car, sometimes to avoid our car, they bouncing like us. In addition, there is no soul of open world in the game.Unfortunately, you cant feel the soul of the world like in GTA series. Driving car is suck, when i drive another car, i felt like i driving previous car. All of car's driving is make you feel its the same.

    The bosses were quite bad, as well.If they hadnt add these bosses, the game would've more good.Bosses were big version of the enemies and also they were quite easy to beat. I didnt enjoy from these boss fights at all.

    You can reach to tasks in the world with your car or from the menu. As you know i didnt like the driving and open world of this game so much, i reached to tasks from the menu.

    The world is empty and the content is few, but the gameplay is amazing which make it one of the best games of all time and one of the ps2 masterpieces

    cool game with gameplay that reminds me a lot of Max Payne, but in Mexico and in an open world, one of the strengths of this game for me is the soundtrack

    a ps2 classic that marked a time for many like me, it certainly deserves a continuation, although I think it is no longer possible, very fun, even though the graphics weren't so good, but for those who played and don't care about graphics, the game is excellent

    Total Overdose does not boast the richest and silkiest of graphics, yet it does have 20 levels of gameplay with an appropriate B-movie feel. Although the game’s longevity may be in doubt, its ability to engross is assured.
