    This game isn’t perfect, but I still gave it a 10 because it has hooked me for 700+ hours now with all its new content being added and unique tactical gameplay. It will kick down in the first few hours of play, but I guarantee you will learn from your mistakes and finally reach a point where you can understand why I love this game so much. Must pick this up!

    Siege is an extremely dynamic FPS that is constantly changing and improving upon itself. It takes the concept of a hero shooter and blends it with intense team based action. Every action matters. Every round is different.

    One of the best tactical shooting experience i had. I suggest this game for sb like r6 Vegas or maybe splinter cell tactics.

    Wow! Rainbow Six Siege is right now one of my favourite multiplayer tactic shooter out on the market... Before I get to the good stuff, I will talk a little bit about the bad stuff that is part of thise game...

    No story mode: No matter how FUN this game is without singleplayer... I really think that they missed on a big chance, to make this game even more interesting and fun... Yes,    Wow! Rainbow Six Siege is right now one of my favourite multiplayer tactic shooter out on the market... Before I get to the good stuff, I will talk a little bit about the bad stuff that is part of thise game...

    No story mode: No matter how FUN this game is without singleplayer... I really think that they missed on a big chance, to make this game even more interesting and fun... Yes, some of you will say - they do have story mode but srsly guys? These ''situations'' are literally a bunch of tutorial missions to get you to know with several gameplay mechanics and tactics and maps... There is no story, no depth and you can't even play those missions in coop. With a story mode, which could've easily swapped the ambience of siege from casual into deep tactical coop shooter (at least for that one sp mode) making it a more interesting and catching game for people that don't really enjoy the casual/competitive side of the multiplayer experience...

    Unranked Matchmaking with randoms: No fun. No balance. No teamplay. Play ranked with your friends!

    Unlocking DLC Operators without spending money: Of course, how nice of Ubisoft that they give us the chance to unlock new operators by just grinding the game... But the amount of ingame currency those cost, is insane... nearly a slap in the face for everybody who thought that this game has no ''pay for dlc'' - dlc... Don't get me wrong, love this game and think that buying the 20 euro season pass for additional operators is also you saying thank you to the devs for keeping this game alive. But additional to the 30-50 euro you probably spent for the hole game, this just feels wrong. Unlocking 1 operator with ingame money will definitely take you more than 5 hours.

    Now to the good stuff!

    The gameplay: The core of this game is pretty simple. Attackers find and destroy, capture or rescue the obj while the defenders have to defend their obj. Thanks to the operators and the constant updates, this game never gets old. Every operator opens another door to tons of tactics that can be used to overcome the enemys - making the pretty simple core of the game deep and challenging. This game also has 2 modes for pvp, casual and ranked. Both are pretty balanced and a lot of fun to play - but keep in mind! playing with friends is a must if you really want to experience the full game.

    Events: With the temporare release of that zombie mode, you can see that the devs try their best to keep this game alive and fun. and holy quakamoly - that zombie mode is hard!

    In total this game is an 8/10 for me... I just wished a more exciting coop experience - as the gameplay mechanics could've easily made that a hit. In the end, the only reason why this game is stil relevant is that the devs keep balancing the gameplay with patches, buffs and nerfs - what i also love is the goal that this dev team has and that they keep updating the game with additional content. The skins are not a must have, which is why I did not comment on that part of the game.    … Expand

    This game is probably one of the best tactical shooters currently on the market. With a group of friends, it's very fun. Being able to make multiple strategies with different combinations of operators it's enjoyable (Or you can just rush as recruits). It grinds can be a little tedious especially for newer players, but if you invest the time into playing the game, it can be very enjoyable.

    A review for Rainbow 6 Siege:
    Rainbow 6 siege is the most recent entry into the rainbow 6 series but don’t let the name fool you as this is quite different to the other games in the series. Rainbow 6 Siege is a team-based, fast paced, tactical shooter that pits two teams of five against each other to fight over one of 3 objectives (bomb defuse, secure area, and hostage rescue).     Rainbow 6 siege is the most recent entry into the rainbow 6 series but don’t let the name fool you as this is quite different to the other games in the series. Rainbow 6 Siege is a team-based, fast paced, tactical shooter that pits two teams of five against each other to fight over one of 3 objectives (bomb defuse, secure area, and hostage rescue). The game definitely knows what it wants to be and has a clear direction as to where it’s heading in the future. This coupled with constant updates brining around balance changes and new operators make for a constantly evolving community driven game that doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.
    Graphics and sound
    The game isn’t the best looking game out there but that’s doesn’t mean that it looks bad. The game has all round good detailed models and textures and lighting system although on some levels it can be hard to see opponents if with the overwhelming darkness of shadows and ambient occlusion but this can be disabled on the pc version. Animations are good all round and the different characters are distinct and recognisable. The sound design is also very good which is important as the game can be quite reliant on sound at times. Different abilities and gadgets have unique sounds so that you always know what’s going on around you.
    Story
    The games story takes a backseat to gameplay but you can learn about the world you are fighting in and the operators you are playing as through the “situations” and operator biographies but don’t expect and awful lot from the game in this department as you will likely be disappointed as there is little that really affects how you think about the game but some of it offers some interesting backstory.
    Gameplay
    The game is based around being competitive and that shows in the way that ubisoft have marketed and developed the game. They have put a lot of effort and work into the competitive esports scene and it’s only getting better with bigger prize pools, better venues and constantly evolving competitive meta game, however they have set up the game differently for the professional players so everything that they do doesn’t exactly map onto ladder play for the average player.
    Ubisoft have shown how they care about their game and want it to be the best game it possibly can mechanically with the most recent addition being a complete overhaul on the recoil system making large improvements to the way the weapons work and feel. They are also adding in new mechanics with every new operator so the game is always evolving both competitively and casually whilst not changing the core reason people are playing.
    All this good does however come with a caveat that being that the game doesn’t do a great job of teaching new players what each of the operators do and how the game is played. This could lead to a lot of new players feeling cheated by some of the systems or just leaving because they don’t understand what is going on in the game. It also means that player looking to learn how everything works will likely have to go to the internet to find out which can lead to an inconsistent new-player experience as everyone goes to different sources for their introduction to the game.
    The destruction system also plays a huge part in the way that you play allowing coordinated teams to have a huge advantage over teams who don’t manage resources well. The systems keep games from getting stale as you almost always have more than one way of approaching objectives and you can always keep the other team guessing and being smart about which walls they choose to reinforce (which limits what operators can destroy the wall). This system also allows for defenders to take improvisational positions which can be based on what attackers have done previously which keeps the game about more than just mechanical skill and opens up opportunities for player who want to strategize to do so.
    Monetisation
    The game does have micro-transactions but they are by no means required to enjoy or get good at the game, they mostly allow you to access post-launch operators faster if you want to know more about these you should look into them (I can’t go into more detail because of the 5000 word limit but I don’t think they are a huge issue)
    Overall thoughts
    Rainbow 6 siege is a fantastic game that I would highly recommend to anyone that enjoys shooters both casually and competitively. The game has more to offer than most games in its genre with its high skill celling and constant updates which keep the game fresh and interesting with introduction of new operators, maps and balance changes. The game, however can be quite hard for new players to learn. It has a lot to offer in terms of gameplay and esports and I can see it becoming one of the largest esports with ubisofts commitment to their game. If you play this game you could get potentially thousands of hours played and still have ways to improve.    … Expand

    Spent hundreds of hours, enjoy the gameplay, graphics, sounds, mechanics, levels (not all), patches with new content and so on.
    After a lot of years, I found a "tactical" shooter with a decent community.

    Would totally recommend to give it a chance

    Ubisoft killed this game. It was good since 2016-2019. Now that unbalanced trash bugg generator. Has been played 1500 hours. Don't repeat my mistakes. Dont waste your time, money and nerves. Peace.

This feature creates a dynamic that is extremely similar to real indoors combat.
    This game has a very thin line between quiet and elaborate gameplay to total chaos. For example, I remember playing with my friends, we were quietly sneaking into the building on the floor above the objective when suddenly the enemy team threw an impact grenade that blow-up the ground under our feet and made us fall into a chaotic firefight.
    Many critics express their contempt for the lack of a single-player campaign in the game. They’re wrong. I think the lack of a campaign is better because the multiplayer mode compensates for it. In addition, I am a social person and I can’t play solo.
    Ubisoft just released the new roadmap for year 4 of the game. The roadmap tells us that this year they are going to release 8 new operators, a new map, and rework 3 old maps. The first two operators to get release will have special abilities that will change the game as we know it. The first one, a defender named Mozi and an attacker named Gridlock. The former will have a special ability that is to take over the attacker’s drones and the latter will have the ability to throw a spiked net wherever she wants. These are exciting news, and I am waiting for them with the utmost hype.
    For conclusion, Rainbow Six Siege is the most enjoyable game that I have ever played. This game doesn’t even need a singleplayer mode because the multiplayer is so awesome.    … Expand

    In first 3 Years R6 was a good and Entertainment game but now in Year 6 Seasons 2 this game is a piece of unfished garbage with a lot of cheaters hackers and bugs inside and the dev´s are doing nothing about it

    But the Community destroys the game really hard i never encountered this much toxicity in a game. Not even in 20 years of playing CS. You get as a low lvl player often just Team killed.     FPS tático e inovador, com um suporte ativo por parte da Ubisoft. Novos operadores, mapas, reworks de balanceamento e diversas mudanças toda season. Infelizmente há uma quantidade de hackers, mas não foi algo que atrapalhou minha experiencia.

    Os gráficos são bonitos, mesmo no low. A gameplay é muito fluida, mesmo a proposta limitando primordialmente. O jogo é muito bem otimizado e    FPS tático e inovador, com um suporte ativo por parte da Ubisoft. Novos operadores, mapas, reworks de balanceamento e diversas mudanças toda season. Infelizmente há uma quantidade de hackers, mas não foi algo que atrapalhou minha experiencia.

    Os gráficos são bonitos, mesmo no low. A gameplay é muito fluida, mesmo a proposta limitando primordialmente. O jogo é muito bem otimizado e alcança 144fps no meu PC tranquilamente, mesmo tendo um processador que não é focado nisso.    … Expand

    - Отсутствие у многих ранних персонажей внятной биографии и предыстории, что в последнее время исправляется с приходом в радугу новых оперативников.
    - Наличие мелких багов: провал персонажей, деактиватора под текстуры, порой не логичная система разрушения, не срабатываемый хитбокс персонажа и читеры.
    Из плюсов:
    +Действительно интересная механика командной игры, в стесненных локациях.
    +Достойная подача продукта и русскоязычная локализация.
    +Хорошая оптимизация и реалистичное звуковое окружение.
    +Развитие тактического мышления и командной игры, так же есть возможность игры в соло, только потом не жалуйтесь что вас первого из всей команды убирают.

    if you think you're actually gonna be using tactics, the whole community will treat as a laughingstock but that's the joy of it. despite the gritty setting, the community is one of the silliest ones out there and it contains almost no tactics at all. Expect trolls, toxicity and a hell load of fun.

    The graphics are spectacular with them adding a ultra graphics pack for those looking for scenery, although you won't be getting much of that when you're killed. There is blood but no gore :( and maps have a day night cycle except for year 3 maps because they became lazy but holds up today in a era where games keep setting the bar higher, R6 manages the pull up.

    Gameplay is very varied. All operators have a special charm to them due to their personalities and abilities ranging from a mounted turret (way too overpowered in my opinion) to a electrocuting shield, making sure you won't be fighting the same battle over and over as they also offer a wide selection of maps with their latest at the time of writing being a Austrailian themed garage merged with a restaurant? Gunplay isn't the basic call of duty straight lined recoil, and it feels great to kill a enemy and might even leave you frustrated but commending the enemy at the same time.

    The only thing that irks me is that there is a lack of singleplayer content. Sometimes you just want a little alone time and you'll be greeted by terrorists in terrorist hunt where you kill terrorists with the great variety of..... gunner and bomber. There is also Situations where you learn the basics of the game and the inch of story it has which you can complete in 2 hours. I get that it's multiplayer but a singleplayer campaign would have been nice and although situations teach players how to use some operators, it would be appreciated if they added more for newer more complex ones.

    tl;dr: Fun multiplayer with great community but lacks singleplayer content would recommend to those bored of cs 8/10    … Expand

Not since couch co-op COD Zombies sessions with my friends have I played an online FPS that provided such a rewarding experience after the 50 hour mark. I currently have logged over 200 hours in game and plan to log in quite a few more. This game came out quite a while ago, and has generated plenty of attention, an involvedR6: Siege is not a perfect game, but it is a truly well made game. Not since couch co-op COD Zombies sessions with my friends have I played an online FPS that provided such a rewarding experience after the 50 hour mark. I currently have logged over 200 hours in game and plan to log in quite a few more. This game came out quite a while ago, and has generated plenty of attention, an involved e-sports community, and a healthy sized player base. There has also been plenty of time for this game and its community to develop prejudices, controversies and the like. I’ll share my own take on the good, the bad, and the ugly (s/o to Tuco.)

    The GOOD:
    Siege is ambitious. Many agree that this game’s infamously underwhelming launch is far behind it. The developers of this game are clearly devoted to maintaining the success it has become. There are pre-planned major updates each year and quality of life updates are applied often. The Technical Test Server is a welcome feature that lets players test new patches and upcoming DLC content.

    Siege is pretty! At ultra settings, the graphical fidelity is on par with most other triple-A games of the 2015, the year when it was initially released. The score is really something more than serviceable. You won’t hear much of it, though, as it won’t be included during PvP matches. I recommend completing the single player situations so you can unlock the Article 5 co-op situation and the two beautiful cutscenes that come with it.

    Siege is a competitive team game. 5v5, no respawns, take turns attacking and defending. I’m not sure what it is, but these things make this game so rewarding. Matches can be fun even when you lose, if you had a good game. The operators each fill a niche and have their strengths and weaknesses. Team play and communication is rewarded. Tact and skill are rewarded. Carelessness is punished!

    The BAD:
    With any game, there is a lot to complain about. I won’t ramble. Here is what I find to be the worst aspects of the game itself.

    Siege has bugs. I’ll give one example. There is a long-standing issue with the synchronization of first person and third person character models, specifically that of the shield operators. Often a shield operator may see that they are positioned in a way to protect themselves from enemy fire, only to be killed by an enemy who saw an exposed target. This is well documented in videos. Something like this has no place in a competitive game.

    Siege has a broken ranked mode. Matchmaking can pit a copper IV against a Gold I, a team of solo-queuing players against a sweaty five-stack, a player with historically poor W/L and K/D ratios vs a player with outstanding ratios. You must play 10 placements each season, and there are little protections against the aforementioned matchmaking issues or from throwing, cheating, and general toxicity. These things really hurt the ranked game mode and keep many players from enjoying it.

    The UGLY:

    Siege has microtransactions. Microtransactions are chiefly cosmetic. You can buy in-game currency that pays for weapon skins, uniforms for your operators, and booster packs that help you get more renown (the games other currency that you receive as an end-of-match reward and from doing weekly and daily challenges.) These are tolerable, but an obvious an unnecessary cash grab that reflects the climate of the market, rather than a unique sin that this game’s creators alone have committed. Most people seem to not care that this feature exists, as it can easily be ignored since they do not provide a competitive advantage.

    Siege should be played on LAN. I urge anyone reading this to watch the ESL pro-league LAN events and the yearly invitationals. Games like this should be played on a local area connection. I’m not sure how much better the servers for this game could be even if Ubisoft quadrupled the amount of money the spent to source them. In my region they are terrific compared to most game’s servers, but there are still issues that really can hurt a player’s experience.

    To sum it up, Siege is a rare thing. It is not a CS-Killer, or a COD-Killer, or a Battlefield-Bucketkicker… its a competitive FPS with a successful e-sports scene that was created out of passion and thrives today on passion. And after three and a half years, ranked is still in BETA.    … Expand

Есть большое разнообразие оперативников. Еще есть конечно и минусы: падение FPS на некоторых картах, выходят оперативники в которых тупо сливают 2 оперативников которые уже раньше были добавлены, баги(много багов), читеры(их не много но они есть и иногда бесят).     I would only recommend this game if you're living in 2015.

    Updates to this game have continues to warp its original vision. It's not a tactical game as advertised. Instead, you need to memorize 50 or so characters, their skins, their abilities, and how those abilities interact with each other. The current and final state of this game is a perfect example of too many cooks in the kitchen.

    All around a good game, you have to be tactical and use your head. However, that doesn't mean that you can't mess around, that might be the star of this game. The only complaint is that the hitboxes can be buggy and the hit registration doesn't always seem to work.

    When I first played this game I hated it. Now I have 400 hours in it. It's difficult, but accessible and informational in a way that makes it very doable to improve, with very tangeable results. I'm still playing, and I always have fun. Can't ask for much more than that.

    After having played so many Call of Duty games, CS:GO and Team Fortress 2, this game feels like a step back, especially when you play it with a controller in which case the aiming is almost impossible. It feels like it has really clunky controls. The aiming is very hard with players like Clash and Montagne. We cannot pick up the weapons dropped by dead enemies (this made sense in TeamAfter having played so many Call of Duty games, CS:GO and Team Fortress 2, this game feels like a step back, especially when you play it with a controller in which case the aiming is almost impossible. It feels like it has really clunky controls. The aiming is very hard with players like Clash and Montagne. We cannot pick up the weapons dropped by dead enemies (this made sense in Team Fortress 2 and Overwatch since they are class-based characters but there's no reason here). There are a lot of smurf accounts that abuse us for not playing on their level (even though we are in the Newcomers level), and there is no way to report such players.

    In terms of visual appeal this game is great. There are also a large number of maps to choose from, which makes this game look like it had a lot more potential. There are also plenty of characters to choose from. Though it lacks a campaign mode, it makes up for it with Challenges (which are also very difficult for new players). So overall I'd say it's a gorgeous looking game ruined by its bad controls and community.    … Expand

    The main problem with R6 is that it's extremely difficult to get into now that other players have become so good at it. While games like CSGO and Rainbow Six Siege competitive at heart, Rainbow Six Siege is on another level. CSGO's main skill is aiming, while R6 has so many elements and new things to master. It's an well-crafted but extremely frustrating game.

    I have a love relationship with this game even though i love its core gameplay the balencing is often broken and hit reg and glitches are comon, hackers have been a recent big problem and balancing maps and operators usaly takes way too long if i where you i would rather put your time in competive shooters that are functioning to be fair

Of course, you can make a discount on the old engine, but the game was updated (and the last patch was completely full client re-download) ... animation bugs, cheaters, random ... everything is here.

    You can go well on your own if you are good enough/smart enough but that dopamine hit when you work well with another player and/or friend and execute a strategy is what gaming is about.

    This game has the potential but the way ubi treats it is just sad. Servers are absolute garbage and need upgrading. Making the overlay more buggier like the game is THAT optimized.

    This game was great when it was in it's first year or two. Now, if you don't understand how to effectively use gadgets, you will not win. It doesn't matter if you have the aim of a God or not. If you don't understand how gadgets work and interact with each other, you will not find success in this game.     I'm writing this review in December of 2020 and it's honestly sad that the game is getting worse and worse every update. After 4 years of playing this game pretty much every day, I just have no interest in playing this game anymore. It's obviously not what was promised on the trailers but who cares at this point?     Coming back to it after some time I still like the core gameplay and I while I dislike how the game shifted more towards ability reliance, making it play more like a hero shooter, I think that was a necessary change in order to balance the game. I'd heavily recommend it for anyone looking for a new fps experience.

Developers stop making content for game - instead of new map we got trash rework. instead of normal opr - clown garbage with old mechanics from chimera or just useless not working ability. Imitation of work - they fix somei spend 2700 h playing this game.     Pluses .. one of a kind game. Minuses... cheaters and smurfs, if you try to play rating without wallhack and aimbot, you will be **** in all holes by smurfs, who have 52 account level, and they play better than cheaters. Do not try to buy the game until ubisoft has banned all smurfs and cheaters once and for all

    It's a first person shooter, like csgo but its actually innovative and requires some brain usage to play. But the lack of content and repetitiveness makes it a boring game.

    I love this game. It's fun, either with friends or alone. Sure, it can be quite rage-enducing, but once you get the hang of it, you can't stop playing. Still, there are some problems i would like to point out.
    1. The servers are crap. There is rarely even a month without them having some kind of error and being down for a few hours. Still, nothings happening.
    2. Some of the operators are    I love this game. It's fun, either with friends or alone. Sure, it can be quite rage-enducing, but once you get the hang of it, you can't stop playing. Still, there are some problems i would like to point out.

    2. Some of the operators are just not fun to play against. For example, Shiled operators. Nobody likes playing against them. Tbh, i think the game would be better without them.
    3. The anti-cheat SUCKS. I'm currently ranked Platinum 2, and there is a cheater in about 40% of my matches. Please Ubi, get a new **** anticheat system.
    4. Most of the cosmetics are trash. Sure, there are jewels like Black Ice, but those are really rare.
    5. There are WAY too many maps, which are, simply put, garbage. Like, who the heck at Ubi thought that it was a good idea putting Favela and Tower in the map rotation??? Another linked complain are reworks. Some map reworks like Chalet or Theme Park were important and right, But then there are House and Hereford Base. Those were WORSE after their rework, and everybody complains about it, yet we can't have the old ones back.
    6. The balancing is kinda weird. There are WAY too many unneeded changes to Operators.
    Another complain is that Ubi only balances around the Pro League, everyone else gets ignored in terms of balancing.
    7. The Updates are getting worse every season. We are getting less content every year. There hasn't been a new map for almost 2 years now.

    I still love it and play it every day

I sunk more than 900 hours into R6 and it is still enjoyable. However, Ubisoft has a long history of making the game unplayable for long periods of time, for example when the add Ela.
