    This is not Rainbow Six.
    If it were called something else I would rate it closer to 9.
    Ubisoft cannot just ride on the name of a franchise by creating a game that is not true to the franchise.
    Rest in peace Tom Clancy and be glad you never saw what happened to Rainbow Six.

    No 3rd person cover mode. This is literally what put Rainbow 6 on the map. I don't know why you would do away with one of the best features to date. It is what made it unique, Literally brought the franchise backwards as it plays like Delta force 2 on a 486 computer. Choppy at times. Stiff movement and not fun to play. Don't waste the money on it like I did. Unless they can put the vegasNo 3rd person cover mode. This is literally what put Rainbow 6 on the map.     Rainbow Six is a novel based on Tom Clancy's book, the original series had: Single Player (very elaborated btw (cause Tom Clancy was alive)), dozens of weapons to choose or even not carry any guns for any operator (several agents from around the world recruted to R6), you could choose from several camouflage suits, choose if it was heavy, medium or light armor, the kind of bullet to use inRainbow Six is a novel based on Tom Clancy's book, the original series had: Single Player (very elaborated btw (cause Tom Clancy was alive)), dozens of weapons to choose or even not carry any guns for any operator (several agents from around the world recruted to R6), you could choose from several camouflage suits, choose if it was heavy, medium or light armor, the kind of bullet to use in your weapons (rubber, hollow, fma, etc), a super detailed planned phase with briefing and realism (one well aimed pistol shot and you are dead, even on heavy armor).
    All that... is gone... as other guy said in another review Tom Clancy is turning in his grave... in Siege you have Operators, from diferent CTU around the globe (not R6 agents) using their CTU gear (R6 did not have any of those, they should not be recognized as they were a SECRET CTU).. some operators only have one primary weapon, you can't choose not to pick a weapon, you can't host your own game if you want. There is a progression system on MP where you can accelerate the process putting more money on it (original R6 MP let every one pick whatever they want, everyone was equal). Sometimes you have to shoot 5-10 times to kill a terrorist... you have an HP bar... the graphical settings have to be tweked or it will look terrible (all console filters on)

    And that is it... I just lost any hope on this series    … Expand

    Every time the game crashed on me, there are 2 windows appearing, one is about sending crash report, one is about The Division, trying to fool me again, HA, like hell i will buy another Ubi game ever again, such a shame to be living in the same city with the worst dev in the industry.

    Tom Clancy is turning in his grave. I'm not sure who took over when Tom Clancy passed away but they are doing an awful job trying to cash in on the legendary writers name. Tom always wanted his name to represent quality and that is why Rainbow Six was always known as a special forces simulator. Every time I played it since childhood I had a blast. Rainbow six is the sole reason that fueledTom Clancy is turning in his grave.     Something about the way the game handles from a technical standpoint makes playing it almost physically painful. That, of course, pales in comparison to the emotional pain of knowing that I'll never get an experience like the original Rainbow Six games, or even the Vegas games back. The fact that Ghost Recon appears to be next after Future Soldier only makes this feeling worse.

    the matchmaking is so bad it ruins the whole experience, and it makes me hate the game, which is sad because it could be a great team based-fps. The patches doesn't work either.

    This game has potential, but completely fails at match-making and bugs. Don't buy this pile of trash. There are too many bugs, gltiches, bad hit registration, and just poor math-making.

    Has nothing to do with the real Rainbow Six...instead, some creepy Manga style characters are now in place and a childish "skill" system...means, different actors with different skills...Idea is logical, reality is a mess.

    Absolute waste of money. 2 months into the game's launch, they managed to completely mess up the netcode even more than it was before, ignoring the fact that the matchmaking is completely broken now for teams.

    As UBI's DEVs have no idea about military, they will ruin the rest Tom Clancy's game series in the future. Screw Ghost Recon Wildlands too. No tactics only CoD run'n'gun crap. Fck you, noobisoft.

    If you want something a littler spicier than camping inside small rooms, you're out of luck. No deathmatch, no team deathmatch, once you're dead in siege, you're dead and left waiting. No server browser, crappy matchmaking.

    I find the lack of variety in gameplay surprising considering how easy it would be to throw a few people on a map and let them shoot it out. If you're expecting ANYTHING like the previous instalments, you will be sorely disappointed.    … Expand

    It is beyond comprehension that having 32gb of ram and 2 R9 290X still get me some hard lag. Way to go ubi.

    You are trying to create a lobby with three friends... CRASH

    You restart the game (I forgot to tell: You can't skip the intro, so I had days where i watched it 20 times while restarting the game) and invite your friends again into the lobby... ERROR

    5 minutes later finally all your friends have joined the lobby again. You start searching for a game... CRASH

    After restarting you give it another try. Finally, after 10 minutes of searching for a match you get one. But hey, have really all of your friends joined the match? Of course not, because one got an ERROR message.

    15 minutes later, you can finally join a game with all your friends. Everything looks good, you can play the first rounds. Maybe your team is about to win. And then it comes, the loading screen of the last round ... CRASH

    This description is no product of my fantasy! It goes like that every single time, on every frickin' day.

    I have had days, where I spend twice as much time in the loading screen or in the lobby menu, as I had real playtime. At the actual stage it is completely broken. Don't buy it, unless they release some really big patches! But at the moment this game is just another example, how greedy the publishers (in this case Ubisoft) are. They just had $-signs in their eyes, so they had to release the game before christmas. With maybe only one or two months more time for the developers, this game could have been so great.

    Summary: The gameplay itself is pretty good.

    BUT: The amount of content is very weak for a full price title and matchmaking + stability can only be described as an catastrophe! In my opinion it is just dishonorable for a big publisher like Ubisoft to release a game in such a horrible condition!    … Expand

    HUGE disappointment if you were looking for something similar to any of the games in this franchise, It's okay if you want something extremely repetitive and lacking any depth or strategy.

    Rainbow six games always have single player mode and Rainbow six siege have amazing single player. Developers say on E3 that this game will have single players and it s awesome i cant stop playing single player story is intense and amazing.

    To report an actual cheater/glitcher It will literally take you 5-10 minutes. and then its unlikely anything will happen unless you filmed it. -2pts

    When you **** up the match for you team by killing the hostage there is no consequence. This doesn't sound to bad until you realize how often it actually happens. -1pts

    The matchmaking system is horrible for ranked play. The system they use searches for players your level to join with so its an even match, this only works if theirs plenty of people playing, unfortunately you'll be lvl 30 and joined with three other lvl 30s and maybe a 60, and the other team is full of 60+ lvl players that are max ranked lvl because the system joins them together on the same team first. This makes winning any ranked game Very difficult as it Literally stacks the best players against you most of the time. -2pts.

    There is a horrible random crash that will crash the game during a game. At any moment usually within the first round. this can happen as often as 3 out of every 4 games or maybe not at all. It all depends. -1pts

    UPLAY has to be used which is horrible, just horrible for PC players at least. -2pts

    It can take up to 2-3 mins just to join a game. That added in with the fact that it might crash for no reason means it could and has taken me 10+ mins to join an actual game. Which just sucks -2pts

    No hardcore mode for a game that lacks the need for a more realistic mode, this usually wouldn't be a problem, but this is a Rainbow is game, a game Known for its realistic modes, not the **** shot several times and still running around stuff. -3pts

    Rainbow six games, to me, have always been about a decent counter terrorism story, loadout customization, and terrorist hunt. This game has almost none of this. It is a multiplayer centered shooter, where terrorist hunt is frowned upon because it does not provide enough of a reward, so not many people play it. Loadouts are another huge issue for me. The weapons are specific to the factionRainbow six games, to me, have always been about a decent counter terrorism story, loadout customization, and terrorist hunt. This game has almost none of this. This is a slap in the face to Tom Clancy and is very much intended to be a mulitplayer 5v5 shooter with the wrong label slapped on it.     Atrocious networking, I run into all kinds of NAT and weird connection issues that I do not have in any other multiplayer games. What is up with never being able to join friends' squads but they can join mine anyway? Add on top the random crashes and I've just given up. What a waste of a potentially great game.

The real worry here is that Ubisoft has 3 big titles coming up this year. Far Cry, Deus Ex and Ghost Recon. If the same development team is in charge of thoseOverall, a terrible game.     - laggy server
    - bugs ( like drone is falling through the ground, not gaining points for victory or loss ) are just normal (after the third month of release date!) - the enemy can see you but you can't see the enemy. I was killed several times by invisible hostile players. The kill-cam    The game itself trying to attempt a really good FPS online game. But it fails in a lot of points:

Sometimes the enemy dont appear on your screen while the enemy is looking in the room since 1 sec so you die without have any chance. Last game i bought from Ubi$oft, the biggest **** game ever without any server in middle europe, pings always over 50, lagWorst PVP game ever.     This game made so much fun until the new Operator came out.... Frost was a really op char because her shotgun killed everything. They nerfed her shotgun and everything was fine again until the Blackbeard came out... he is the most overpowered character ever...

The microtransations are the biggest turn off for me. 1/3 of the game is locked behind a pay wall or requires 200+ hours of game time to "purchase".     i played this game for 1229 hours. This game is worst game ever i play. I sick of these crashes. Also game's engine is very bad. People now using guns for shooting they are using their scopes maybe their eyes lol.

    Mesmos bugs há mais de 2 anos, descaso com a comunidade, falta de mercado entre players e itens extremamente caros. Ubisoft seguindo o péssimo exemplo da EA. Mais um game que você deveria evitar.

    - the "Operators" started out semi and pseudo-realistic but turned into a total Joke after only a year.
    -> now you have Characters that are like a mix of Call of Duty and Overwatch. Basically "Heroes" in a "tactical" Setting
    - Gampelay and rounds are essentially: Rushing in like a stressed and panicked speedrunner into buildings, breaching like crazy and shooting with guns that all have a weird little sway around the crosshair.

    Because anything slow and methodical wouldn't work for people with ADHS and the need to entertain huge E-sport-crowds, I guess?

    - the only time where you have at least a littlebit of methodical and tactical approach, is when you play with friends on "Training Grounds" (the former Terrorist Hunt"),
    but its nothing compared to SWAT 5 or the old Rainbow Six 3.
    -> All the AI-Enemies look the same,
    -> you can't even take bots as team-mates with you (you know, a feature even the 18 ! year old Rainbow Games had!)
    -> Ubi$oft nerfed the amount of "Renown" to oblivion (currency you need to unlock new characters (lol)) you get through single-player and coop-missions, so unlocking new operators takes horrendous amounts of time
    (~300 hours or you can spend real cash and that'll be over a hundred bucks. Just take a look at the currency-packs and the tiny amount of renown you earn ingame and do the math! There is a reason Ubi$oft keeps the Season-passes, ingame-currency and different editions as not selfexplanatory as possible!)
    -> Your weapons are less deadly and sometimes you'll have to shoot multiple rounds into enemies
    -> You can't make enemies give up / handcuff them
    -> downed AI-enemies will just die. They can't shoot at you or be secured or anything of this "boring tactical SWAT-stuff"

    So a LOT of the tention of true tactical shooters is gone.

    On the TECHNICAL side of things: Game cloggs 45 (!) gb on the hdd with only 14 maps (and no real bot-support and smaller mapsize in general!) compared to the 15 maps of RS 3 + 6 MP maps and additional fanmade maps = 21 maps! and runs worse with every update.

    Ubisoft decided to create a MOBA-Call-of-Duty-Overwatch mix for Twitch-streamers and the "E-Sports"-business, with zero intention to support the core-mechanic of tactical-shooters anymore.
    Their last "Playbook-Story-Trailer" made this pretty obvious.    … Expand

    This game was good... when it first came out but now its nothing but an embarrasment of its former self.
    The fact they got rid of the night time maps, reworked good maps into subpar maps. They keep reworking operators that make them worse then what they were.

Also while on the weapon discussion they could let the operators from that particular country have a choice of both of the attackers and defenders weapons. So for example mute should have the choice of the sa80 along with his mp5k etc.
    Oh also the fact they changed from real factions to made up ones. So you won't see fbi, sas etc with any of the new operators.
    Not to mention the over the top skins you can get for the operators now.

    Re: Year 6 Season 2 - Removal of dead bodies, small arms bullet holes until it breaks bigger chunks of debris, bulletproof glass can now shatter from meleeing it with your guns, fictitious weaponry ie: Scorpion EVO S1 Carbine is semi-auto only, there is NO fire select on it. (The smaller SMG version has fire select), but let's face it... the realism of this arcade hero shooter has been thrown out the window.

    Make the game free to play, or put it 6 feet in the ground. Casual redditors do not deserve to dictate change to a game that used to have a basis of realism.    … Expand

Second, where's the customization we had in previous games like Rogue Spear? Can only use mp5 for defense? Are you kidding me Ubisoft? How freaking stupid is this?. This game is awful.     Replayability is key here. The game relies too much on multiplayer to make the game fun but its dead. As for single-player they threw in some missions that you have no control over what you want to take, such as gear, equipment, character, guns, etc. I don't even call it single-player, more of just "Look see we made offline missions now shut up."     Ubisoft killed this game. It was good since 2016-2019. Now that unbalanced trash bugg generator. Has been played 1500 hours. Don't repeat my mistakes. Dont waste your time, money and nerves. Peace.

    In first 3 Years R6 was a good and Entertainment game but now in Year 6 Seasons 2 this game is a piece of unfished garbage with a lot of cheaters hackers and bugs inside and the dev´s are doing nothing about it

    I would only recommend this game if you're living in 2015.

    Updates to this game have continues to warp its original vision. It's not a tactical game as advertised. Instead, you need to memorize 50 or so characters, their skins, their abilities, and how those abilities interact with each other. The current and final state of this game is a perfect example of too many cooks in the kitchen.

    This game has the potential but the way ubi treats it is just sad. Servers are absolute garbage and need upgrading. Making the overlay more buggier like the game is THAT optimized.

    Pluses .. one of a kind game. Minuses... cheaters and smurfs, if you try to play rating without wallhack and aimbot, you will be **** in all holes by smurfs, who have 52 account level, and they play better than cheaters. Do not try to buy the game until ubisoft has banned all smurfs and cheaters once and for all

    the game is so good but the developers and updates are ruined r6 after phantom sights.
    stupid reworks and patches also there is no more new weapons and maps and events! everything is not new.

В сезоне Г6С3.3 полностью уничтожили килл-асист из-за чего играть в эту порашу было невозможно, даже если ты взрываешь капканом челу пол лица, асист ты получишь только за инжур.

    If Ubisoft's studios release multiplayer games in the future, it's safe to assume that those games will have a short lifespan. The game is run by an incompetent producer who reflects their taste in the game and can't adjust the balance properly. Therefore, it is only natural that the games made by Ubisoft-affiliated studios have a short lifespan.

Периодически противник сливается с окружением без особых причин, видимо, играть на ультра настройках, даже если тебе позволяет железо, не имеет смысла. Звук стал хуже, даже используя объемный звук 7.1., противник на расстоянии больше 5 метров слышится отовсюду.     Ubisoft ruined this game. They optimized it for pro league and now it's just not fun for casual gamers anymore... Also I am writing this right after my team got annihilated and I rage quit so yea....... getting hit in the balls by a baseball is more fun than this game right now.

    since 2018 the game will close with no explaination. also alt tabbing gives oyu an unplayable from a competitive standpoint delay. Audio is broken
