BartW.Sep 12, 2003It's ugly. it's slow. maybe 10 years ago, this game would have been quite cool, quite well comparable to 'mission force: cyberstorm', but yes, that's over 10 years old.

KorosukeK.Nov 4, 2003This game is extremely fun once you learn how to play it... The problem is, if you skip the tutorial, that will take quite a while. The only problem is that it takes ages to finish aa game. 1000 secs ingame are like an hour in real time.

G.D.Oct 30, 2003Definitely a niche game. I really enjoy it. However, I feel there wasn't enough upfront info and training missions to start enjoying the game quickly. Quite a learning curve and an unforgiving UI.

JeffW.Sep 29, 2003I've been waiting for a PC translation of the Battletech type board game since the first Mechwarrior came out on the PC, now it's finally here and it's fantastic.

Computer Gaming WorldThe interface works well for executing moves but poorly for keeping track of your titans' status. [Feb 2004, p.82]

Matrix did a great job in taking a board game style and incorporating it into a 3-D presentation. The building of your squad and Titans is a blast, and adds to the addictive quality and replay value of the game.

PC GamerNot a sexy action shooter, but an intricate, richly detailed game of serious turn-based strategy. But hex-heads and "MechWarrior" aficionados will find lots here to suck them in. [Nov 2003, p.122]
