    i played this game back in 2018 and i have been coming back to it since then . these type of games rarely exist and i feel lucky to have found and played it...sure its difficult and doesn't hold your hand but don't be afraid to try it

    Interesting survival game. Very realistic. Has great replayability but after 1 successful run (and countless failures) I was too depressed for more.

    I love it. If you´re able to let loose and get drawn away by the emotions this game is transporting you will have a great experience. Of course not in a good way. It is an awful expereince which can drive you crazy. Of course you won´t feel the same way you would feel in a real war but that's okay. This game will show you a site of war which is not often enough discussed in otherI love it.     The graphical style is also quite nice and underlines the games message. It´s grey, dark and bland. The Gameplay is not balanced but quite hard (as it should be). Of course it´s still possible to survive the war. The overall design choices are very thoughtful and I never encountered a single bug. Pure 10/10.
    I think it was the right decision to create a small 2D-Game with tiny levels so the developers where able to focus on the gameplay and message. I hope that six days in fallujah will do as good as TWOM.    … Expand

    Unique concept for a war game so big points right out the gate for taking such a bold move. Game play was immersive, plus I am biased as I love a good game where you start with little and have to build your way up and survive. Art style and music are very well done to pull you into the bleak drudgery of this war setting.

    I struggle to see what people love about this game so much. Maybe it's because I played Frostpunk before, and This War of Mine feels almost like a proof of concept for Frostpunk, with the essentially the same fundamental mechanics, but much muuuch (muuuuuuch) more basic. I may've also been a victim of my expectations - I expected this game to hit hard emotionally, but it didn't, becauseI struggle to see what people love about this game so much. Maybe it's because I played Frostpunk before, and This War of Mine feels almost like a proof of concept for Frostpunk, with the essentially the same fundamental mechanics, but much muuuch (muuuuuuch) more basic. I may've also been a victim of my expectations - I expected this game to hit hard emotionally, but it didn't, because (at least in the main game) there's virtually no story - it's just a pretty minimalistic survival game.

    The survival mechanics work, which is why I suppose the concept was taken further and expanded into Frostpunk. The game is also beautifully drawn, albeit in dull, grey-dominated colours (for obvious reasons), so it's not as charming as it could've been in a different setting. This made the gameplay alright in terms of enjoyment, but ultimately I found it pretty repetitive and unengaging.    … Expand

    This War of Mine's survival mechanics and narrative mechanics have a parasitic relationship, where the survival mechanics feed into the narrative mechanics, but the narrative mechanics suck the life out of the survival mechanics.

    Wstaję rano, za piętnaście trzecia. Latem to już widno. Katia je śniadanie i robi 2 filtry do kolektora deszczu ale jest lekko zmęczona bo od 10 dni chodzi na nocny szaber. Bruno, ciągle głodny (jeszcze sobie w dossier wpisał, że dobrze gotuje.... żeby być zawsze blisko michy) i zmęczony bo często je i ma cukrzyce chyba. Ogarnia aparaturę do bimbru i idzie się położyć, bo w nocy będzieWstaję rano, za piętnaście trzecia. Latem to już widno. Katia je śniadanie i robi 2 filtry do kolektora deszczu ale jest lekko zmęczona bo od 10 dni chodzi na nocny szaber. Bruno, ciągle głodny (jeszcze sobie w dossier wpisał, że dobrze gotuje.... żeby być zawsze blisko michy) i zmęczony bo często je i ma cukrzyce chyba. Ogarnia aparaturę do bimbru i idzie się położyć, bo w nocy będzie czuwał (przy lodówce). Pavle, obudził się ranny bo ma syndrom niespokojnych nóg i w nocy przyjebał z całej siły w ścianę z kopa. Od 3 dni przychodzi jakaś baba wyłudzając medykamenty dla (niby) potrzebujących. Przychodzą jeszcze jakieś dzieci ale wyglądają na działaczy WWF i pewnie zbierają na magoty gibraltarskie albo na temblak dla czapli mniejszej która zwichnęła skrzydło... nie otwieram. 15:00 Katia wstaje i już jest głodna (jebaniutka) więc idzie po jedzenie, spotykając się z chłodnym spojrzeniem Bruna który ojebał już porcję ale dopchałby jeszcze kichy. Pavle jeszcze śpi, a wybity mały palec (od kopnięcia) pulsuje więc trzeba zjeść pół szafy medykamentów żeby "czuć się lepiej", a następnie poczuć zmęczenie i dalej iść w kimono. Katia idzie na szaberek biorąc łom ale łopata się nie mieści, bo zamiast plecaka ma tornister 8-letniej Basi która jest (tzn była) sanitariuszką ale umarła z nudów grając w TWoM. Rano nasza KATARZYNA wraca z 4 kawałkami drewna i sprężyna od zegarka - jest dobrze, bo na upgrade warsztatu brakuje tylko elementów których zbieranie zajmie 3 miesiące. W nocy przyszły chuligany ale nie ukradły jedzenia bo Bruno już zjadł wszystko i teraz odpoczywa bo jest zmęczony. Pavle znowu narzeka na palec i brak kawy... I tak to z moim TWoM jest....… Expand

    This war of mine не сурвайвал. Все ресурсы по ходу игры только копятся. Из- за небольшого их разнообразия, в каждой локации есть всё необходимое. Если кормить людей раз в два дня, с едой тоже нет проблем. И получается, что ты сидишь на куче ресурсов, и из интереса, а необходимости, строишь третий уровень верстака, потому- что возможность крафтить патроны тебе не нужна.
    С боевой системой    This war of mine не сурвайвал. Все ресурсы по ходу игры только копятся. Из- за небольшого их разнообразия, в каждой локации есть всё необходимое.     С боевой системой тоже не всё хорошо. Весь стелс в игре выглядит так. Ты бегаешь, что бы издать шум, забегаешь в укрытие, и убиваешь ножом того кто придёт. Главное не убивать тех кто на тебя не нападает, чтобы твои люди не впали в депрессию. Перестрелки ещё хуже. Ты садишься за укрытие и кликаешь по противнику, максимально однокнопачная боевая система.
    Наиграл я 4 часа, по ощущениям треть всего этого времени я ждал пока скрафтится вода, спят твои персонажи, в начале игры разгребается завал, а всё почему, потому-что в игре нет ускорения времени, а твоим персонажам нельзя зарядить очередь действий.
    Единственное за что игру можно похвалить это сеттинг, но про него вам рассказали десятки обзорщеков.

    Ugh, the entry to the game sure is steep. But once you figure out the confusing interface the game only gets deeper and deeper. Has this unique "slav" smell around. Like Stalker. Something dirty yet strong. And well - war has ever been the subject of many games. But I dare to say - nothing told the story of what war really is - better than this one. Bravo 11bit.

    This War of Mine is a good tactical game that not everyone will be able to understand what is going on in the game. It's a relatively a simple survival game that reminds you of the grey and grim of war. The adventure combined with a little story behind make the game very realistic.

    Die Prämisse, die Greuel des Kreiges darzustellen sagt mir ansich zu, leider konnte das Gameplay mich nicht wirklich lange fesseln. Permadeath macht so ein Spiel zwar spannend, aber leider kann es einem das Spiel auch recht schnell ruinieren.     One of the best games I've ever played, It tells the true story about war, that is not fire and glory as a lot of video-games and movies want us to see it. War is horrible, almost every time it's just for the ambition of two different groups and the civilians trapped in the middle are who suffer the most.

    O jogo tem um enredo bem diferente da maioria dos jogos de guerra e survival, acho que a nota poderia ser maior se o jogo apresentasse a historia mais diretamente com diálogos e não só mudanças de cenário e pelo narrador do radio me entreteve por vários momentos eu realmente gostei apesar das limitações, o jogo é bem unico

    Decent strategy game that often cheats at you to make you lose. The gameplay it's ok and there are multiple options to do. Like most games, one you know were it's everything and what you can expect from some places the magic goes away.

    I'm not sure if any death of one of my characters in games ever felt like when I lost someone in This War of Mine... I've felt miserable taking almost every life I've had to take. It was painful just to watch, but the playing experience was amazing and I'm glad this game exists and shows us the pain and cruelty of civil war.

    A very different way of telling dramatic stories. 2.5D provides a good combat mechanic. Especially, considering emotional consequences before acts leading you to pretend as a civil-war survivor.

    This was one of the best game of my life. Following some game you can understand it and after 2-3 successful game it does not provide any surprise but before you reach this point the game more than just good.

    Following the release it got customization its up to you how you wish to play.     I was expecting heavily themed war game. Some story driven platforming, but I got the game that plays out on one screen, everything is behind a wall of text and was generally boring. It was a wasted money.

    En un principio el juego me llamó la atención con la ambientación y la propuesta que trae, hacer el papel de uno o unos cuantos sobrevivientes que deben arreglárselas para, valga la redundancia, sobrevivir en una ciudad asediada por una guerra. Esto se logra bien, ya que el juego está inspirado en la cruel Guerra de Bosnia, un despiadado conflicto civil que puso en jaque a gran parte de laEn un principio el juego me llamó la atención con la ambientación y la propuesta que trae, hacer el papel de uno o unos cuantos sobrevivientes que deben arreglárselas para, valga la redundancia, sobrevivir en una ciudad asediada por una guerra. Esto se logra bien, ya que el juego está inspirado en la cruel Guerra de Bosnia, un despiadado conflicto civil que puso en jaque a gran parte de la extinta Yugoslavia.
    Búsqueda de recursos, crafteo de materiales, mejorar el refugio, y pasar por entornos muy hostiles... La verdad tiene lo que se necesita para ser un juego de su estilo.
    Pero por qué la calificación?
    La verdad, NO TIENE TODO lo que se necesita para un juego de su estilo.
    La mayor parte del tiempo te la pasas crafteando y crafteando, y crafteando. Y esto no sería malo si al menos todo eso tuviese una utilidad real, que aquí la veo que el juego se basa en eso.
    El refugio... Cumple, sin embargo, no veo libertad de interacciones como lo puedo ver en otros juegos... Que vamos, Los Sims tienen más libertad...
    La ambientación, muy buena, y es acorde a lo que quiere transmitir el juego, pero eso se rompe con que todos los personajes tienen acciones muy limitadas, y sin contar que el reloj pasa muy rápido, amen de todo lo que hay que hacer.
    No voy a seguir comentando los fallos que tiene, porque el juego me dejó muy mal sabor de boca, que hasta me deprime escribir esta reseña.
    Un juego que te impresiona a primera vista, pero que tras algunas horas de juego, es aburrido y tedioso hasta más no poder...
    Que los primeros RPGs de Famicom son más entretenidos.
    Un pésimo planteamiento para un juego con un excelente ambiente, y una vuelta de tuerca a los juegos basados en guerras.

    The game itself has quite unconventional approach towards war. It's not full glory, whoever kills the most style of game. Killing is a horrific action, sadly sometimes unavoidable.     Hello everyone! This is my first review but definitely not my first game. I came into this game without knowing so much as it’s genre, but what did I think? Let’s get into the review and see.

    The first thing you see when you launch This War of Mine is an appropriate quote from Hemingway “In modern war...you will die like a dog for no good reason.” This does a great job of setting the feel for the game you are about to experience. This War of Mine is an atmospheric game that sets its dark tone very well and makes it easy to feel the dread of a civilian caught in a conflict with little hope. The game takes place in a fictional, seemingly Eastern European country stuck in a civil war. You play as a small group of acquaintances brought together by various circumstances that now work together to scavenge for food and materials hoping to survive.

    Graphics/Sound

    This War of Mine has stylized visuals and music that help immerse you into the environment. Everything is viewed as a cross section of a building, whether it be your own home, or a building you’re looting for supplies during the night. Your home has some warm colors but during the scavenging at night most things are grey and things that fall out of your line of sight are obscured in a haze, adding to the mystery of what you might find as you continue forward. The music in the game from the beginning gives ambiance setting a very bleak tone for the game. This is especially noteworthy while scavenging at night and helps to put you on edge when you find yourself in a tough spot.

    Gameplay

    This War of Mine is essentially a resource management game and is in some ways comparable to a worker placement game for the board gaming fans. As far as actual physical gameplay goes the left click is the only input you need, so mechanical skills won’t hold you back here. Simply left click to interact with whatever you’d like to grab or interact with, or double click to run to that location. During the day you will spend your time getting your group fed and improving your home. At night you can send one person to a location to scavenge and the rest will be left behind to either sleep or guard your belongings. There is limited time management needed during the day so most real gameplay is the scavenging, which can range from just using a crowbar to get through an abandoned house to sneaking through a building full of military personnel.

    Pros:
    -This game is immersive which makes it easy to get invested in the characters and your groups ultimate survival
    -The game mechanics are quite compelling seen through the weight of your options and planning your next move carefully to avoid unforeseen consequences
    -Given the context of the story you feel the moral weight of your actions if you kill or steal as do your characters
    -Because of the difficulty, every new piece of furniture or new meal feels earned and rewarding
    Cons:
    -The learning curve is steep and if you go in blind don’t expect to survive much more than a couple weeks your first couple tries
    - Sometimes decisions feel forced because you can become so strapped for resources
    - Because the controls are so simple, it can be very easy to misclick and put yourself in danger while scavenging

    This War of Mine is a very well crafted setting that makes you really feel the importance of your resource management much more than many similar games. The first time I sat down and played I was immersed for the better part of a day. With that said, the game is incredibly unforgiving and the learning curve is steep. The scarcity of resources and the tough decisions add to the flavor of the game but are a bit steep from a gameplay perspective. Overall I would give it a 7.5/10. While it may be a bit daunting for the casual player, anyone who is willing to spend some time learning the game and especially those who enjoy survival and resource management will surely find this game well worth the price tag.    … Expand

You take control over a few civilians in a house and you need to survive. Food, water, defenses, and medicine are the most important things. At night you go out and scavenge.     Я не знаю как, но у авторов получилось сделать так, что за персонажей переживаешь, беспокоишься. Все их драмы воспринимаются как личные и действительно веришь что люди умирают с голоду, уходят не попрощавшись. Какое-то мистическое сочетание музыки, стиля, картинок и текстовой истории.

    Juego totalmente recomendado, sin embargo, puede ser que haya a quien no le guste. En lo personal dude en comprarlo porque a pesar de todas las buenas críticas que había oído y/o escuchado el gameplay me parecía algo monótono y no muy entretenido.

Es un juego muy crudo, entretenido, pero no divertido, y esto no es malo, porque no es su fin divertir, entretener si, pero todo lo contrario a divertir. Pocos juegos han logrado que sintiera un nudo en la garganta con el desenlace de ciertos eventos a partir de mis decisiones. Una obra maestra.

    Técnicamente el juego no es muy demandante, por algo hasta puede ser jugado en celular, este juego junto con sus expansiones son totalmente recomendables    … Expand

    Although it's a great game, one of my characters died at the 29th day (night) due to poor game mechanics issue: I was armed with a gun, had bullets, helmet and had valuable stuff with me and I was stabbed to death because the **** character couldn't shoot the bloody thug. Clicked on the icon like hell but poor dev work made the character numb and dumb, waiting for unnecessary death. So allAlthough it's a great game, one of my characters died at the 29th day (night) due to poor game mechanics issue: I was armed with a gun, had bullets, helmet and had valuable stuff with me and I was stabbed to death because the **** character couldn't shoot the bloody thug. So all the devs may go to **** themselves with their "your choices and death is permanent" **** Unfortunately, a survival game must not **** have such a **** glitch - if the character is unable to **** shoot and move, I'd have left him home sleeping. SO this is how a quality drop looks like from 9.5 to 1, even after playing long hours and hours with it (29th day means it's long). I've just refunded the game; basically because lousy-ass devs, DON'T WASTE MY MOTHER**** TIME!… Expand

    Probably one of the best games that i've played. Not because it has insane mechanics, not because stunning graphics but the story that game tell to us, the feels that feel to us.

    Interesting concept about civilians trying to survive in a civil war torn zone. A game of two parts one is the solo scavenging stealth runs and two is the home base crafting party and resource management options. This experience can be quite emotionally impactive. The characters can even suicide if not well managed and looked after properly.

    Game looks great and dark mooded style is just brilliant. What i hoped that there would have been more diversity and depth in the stuff you can do. Now everything is build from same few materials and everyone can do everything. How a journalist have 'know how' to build working radio? Only few types of food, almost all you need can be producted by workshops. Game mechanic is awesome, butGame looks great and dark mooded style is just brilliant.     This game is unbearably good, even more because it is about a subject that most people ignore: the destruction that war brings on the innocent. This game could be put in every shooter made: while people in COD, Battlefield are killing each other, there are innocent trying to survive all that war.

    You get control of a party of people that met after the civil war started and are living on an empty house that they found, with few supplies and different traits you need to work together to survive the war, scavenging, blocking holes in the house, creating heat for winter, food and water, Oh My God so much food and water. If your supplies are over that's it, slowly dying of thirst, hunger, sickness. And the story of that character is over, war killed him.
    This game is so good in making you love each character and trying to make everybody survive is hard, and it should be.

I am a veteran of Iraq and I remember all too well the hardships it brought upon the civilians, especially in the beginning of the war. I remember being heartbroken at the sight of children crying and begging for food on the side of the road.

    This "game" puts you square in the middle of the experiences of those civilians. It is a brutal, kill or be killed world - where an act of unimaginable violence may let you live another day, but it can also break your heart and soul. Some days, you are offered a chance at compassion - and if you take that chance, risking your own safety and resources for others, you may find you feel a bit better about yourself.

    Then there are the times where you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. You are unarmed, scavenging for anything to save your friends, and you peep through a keyhole and see a soldier brutally beating - and possible worse - a woman. He has an AK-47, you have a lockpick and a rumbling stomach. So you sit there and watch - afraid that any noise may turn his violent attention upon you. When it is all done, you hide until he leaves and then, shamefully, pick over the bloodied body of the woman for anything she may have scavenged before the soldier got to her.

    This is "This War of Mine" - a dark, beautiful, haunting, exhilerating, and horrible tale.

    What's that tagline, "The first casualty of war is innocence"? It applies here - in a way you would have never imagined coming from a computer game.    … Expand

    Thoroughly enjoyed this one. This War of Mine is masterful at creating an atmosphere of sadness and desperation. This game has a very tough learning curve, and every mistake you make will progressively make the game more difficult down the road. Deaths are permanent. Everything is in short supply and no, you can't craft your way into a producing infinite amounts of resources. ThisThoroughly enjoyed this one.     The most refreshing thing about this game is that realistically depicts what war is really like. Unlike the glorified COD which, incidentally, is funded by the US military. Go figure! Basically, war is hell. And so is this game. Its a struggle most of the time. And you have to scrape and save and muster and manage. And it is, quite honestly, very satisfying.     This War is Mine is a very unique and dynamic game. It's refreshing to play a game as a survivor of an ongoing conflict. The game presents many challenges, encounters, opportunities and characters. The best way I can put it is this game feels very real when you're playing it.
    The only reason I wouldn't give it a 10/10 is because after playing it for about 10 or so hours you realise how    This War is Mine is a very unique and dynamic game.     I find myself drawn to the kind of atmosphere this title provides, insofar that it - and games like it - is able to capitalize on survivability as a feature well enough to give environmental dangers a nearly personified pressing and looming quality. The war and its dangers soak your continuous play sessions. Winter is always circling like a hammerhead. Sehr emotional werden einem die Geschichten der Überlebenden erzählt und jede Handlung hat seine Konsequenzen. Mit dem neuen The Littel Ones DLC, bei dem man zusätzlich auch noch auf ein Kind aufpassen muss kann man sich noch besser hineinfühlenEin unglaublich geniales Spiel von 11Bit. It's a game which really puts you in the place of the civilians during a war, who have to survive using any materials can find all around. The thing is that after some playthroughs you will get that every matterial is really useful, and none is better than any other.     I found this a hard game to rate. The game looks great, has great ideas and mechanics as well as a very interesting message due to the games setting. However it does feel a bit grindy and repetitive at times. Combat is also quite frustrating and average. Still worth having a look at though.

You worry, because any of them might die from injury, the cold, or disease. Your characters can become depressed, suicidal, and can leave at any time. Instead, its the pure anxiety and emotional turmoil of trying to make these people survive for as long as you can. You scavenge for supplies by night, and by day, you make improvements to your house. You are constantly at risk for being robbed during the night, and have to put people on guard. When you venture out into the world, you can have the choice of robbing and killing people for supplies, making trade, or even taking people in. Its kill or be killed sometimes. The fact that this game has a DLC that donates to the War Child charity makes it even all the more better. If you like story driven emotional games, grab yourself a copy of "This War of Mine".… Expand

    A very unique experience that I highly recommend everyone tries, even if you don't like the survival genre as I myself don't and I still enjoyed This War of Mine quite a lot.

    I don't feel like the game has much replayability in the sense that you don't want to keep playing it because it can get quite tedious due to the lack of any sort of fast forwarding, and once you've found the best    A very unique experience that I highly recommend everyone tries, even if you don't like the survival genre as I myself don't and I still enjoyed This War of Mine quite a lot.

    I don't feel like the game has much replayability in the sense that you don't want to keep playing it because it can get quite tedious due to the lack of any sort of fast forwarding, and once you've found the best "build" you are basically replaying the same campaign over and over just making slight tweaks depending on your spawning circumstances which does get boring. Once I had successfully survived until the end of the war once and explored all the buildings I feel like I had seen everything the game had to offer and I was done. In the end I got 14 hours of enjoyment out of the game for £3.74 and it genuinely moved me at times, which is very rare for a game to do.    … Expand

    I personally don't love this type of games that much, and was actually rather disappointed at first, because when I bought this game I expected something a bit more story driven with more precise objectives and purposes.

    This War of Mine is more of a resources management game, and your only purpose is to survive. How to do that? That's all up to you. The game will bring you to various situations and both moral and fatal decisions which you'll have to face.

    The game doesn't explain much about WHAT to do, there's not really any sort of tutorial. You start right away. At first I was a bit pissed off by that, but soon enough I discovered that the gameplay grows on you and you can easily grasp it, and also, just like in real life, you sometimes can't be sure what you're actions will bring and what the consequences are going to be. So I've also had a few surprises.

    This War of Mine would indeed make sure that you feel every consequence of every action you're going to do, and you can't escape that. For example, you have a possibility to steal from an old couple which cannot defend itself. This is an easy way of gathering food, and trying to find food at any other place would be very risky, and you can easily die. You won't get away with stealing because characters would start to be depressed and question their own actions. And, of course, you absolutely can't live without food to eat...

    The game also manages to somehow create a strong emotional connection to the characters, albeit it provides very little back story and does everything in a very simplistic way. But that's probably a part of the magic, the minimal and poor environment, the melancholic tunes and feelings the game evokes in you.

    I found myself feeling terrible after I made my characters die because of my choices, and on that moment I realized the game actually WORKS. And pretty well. So, even though it's not my cup of tea, I'm going to find out the rest of the content the game has to offer and would probably give it another few goes.    … Expand

Many wrote it has a great atmosphere, the problem is, I cant immerse in this world, because it is more ridiculous than realistic. The charactes get depressive, when they are too criminal. WTF?     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I played the game all the way through in one sitting taking me 7 hours. I fell under the one-more-turn spell and couldn't stop. It's a grim game and that's what makes it so compelling. You are controlling a group of survivors, managing resources, and kinda building a little economy in this run down building. What is great is that the game won't play out the same for everyone. I used one of my characters to kill civilians to take their goods but he couldn't handle his emotions and ran away. Another one got shot and killed stealing from armed men. Then yet another died from disease. I was left with two characters, who I happened to have started with, and on what turned out to be the last day of the war my entire situation was bleak and they were massively depressed so I had them console each other. It was a randomly great way to end my playthrough. A lot of different things could have happened and there is definitely replay value in going back and choosing what characters to start with and approaching things differently but Idk if I want to replay this game. I really like my own story and I want to keep it at that.… Expand

    They broke their game with an update and then abandoned it to focus on the consoles. The game is poorly balanced, and the modding community saved it. But, since they broke the modding tools with the last update, then refuse to communicate at all with the community, I suggest you stay away from this awful game.

    A moving experience and an enjoyable game. It has solid replay value and is definitely a different take on the survival, base management, rogue-like experience. A well crafted game.

    This War of Mine does not show you the typical super soldier who can regenerate health after being shot at. Instead, it shows an aspect that is usually forgotten in video games, seeking answers for survival and humanity in wars.

    + Несколько вариантов начала игры: 2 дома и совершенно разные группы персонажей численностью от 1 до 4 человек. У каждого персонажа в игре присутствует своя история и биография, а также они обладают своим уникальным характером. Так же вы можете создать своих персонажей.
    + В игре присутствует хардкор. Очень сложно грамотно распределять еду и правильно вести добычу ресурсов ночью.
    + Идеально подходящее под тематику данной игры графическе исполнение. Игра выполнена в тёмных тонах, с использованием эффекта карандаша.

    Минусы:
    - Всё же в ситсему крафта можно было добавить больше предметов, а так же больше случайных событий в сам игровой процесс.

    It gets old quick once you figure out what everything does.
    It's my problem with survival games, either there's a wiki or there's absolutely no information. The internet becomes an annoying compromise that gives neither ambience nor clear answers.

    It also, thankfully, doesn't try to get overly complicated. Which means that relationships between characters and the outside world are limited, as is interaction with objects. Makes it a simple good game. Not an excellent one.    … Expand

But with its rich sound and stark visuals, it really deserves to be played on a full monitor. Like many indie games, it doesn't set out to be a fun and addicting game, but rather to create an experience and make you feel "there". It does this very well, with a sense of overarching dread and impending doom made worse by every little mistake. You never quite have enough food, or if you do, enough medicine, or supplies, whatever. No playthrough will ever be perfect and you'll be left to decide just what you can afford to sacrifice.

    Combat is something you're generally supposed to avoid, though that's no excuse for how awkward is actually is. Seeing as the game autosaves whenever you do much of anything, you may end up losing a survivor to the strange mechanics, which is a frustrating experience. Other than that though, this is a bleak and depressing survival sim that's nonetheless very enjoyable to play even though it left me feeling pretty devastated. Most importantly, it portrays a situation that's all too real in the world, and is very good at inspiring empathy in the player that may well translate to real life. That the only DLC is a donation directly to children affected by war just reinforces the solid intentions of the developers.    … Expand

    Tuna. Moonshine. Shooting and stabbing defenseless old people to steal the supplies you desperately need, only to return home and find the person you just killed for has died or left. That is the war of surviving that takes place in this beautiful game. Each play through is different allowing multiply types of experiences as you play, the story is just surviving and learning about yourTuna. Moonshine. Great audio through the game with making it sound like a war is going on, like there is supposed to be. Several times I though I was going to get blow up from hearing motor fire.     In This War of Mine you play as a group of civilians trapped inside a city torn apart by war and have to try to keep them alive as they struggle with lack of food, medicine and the constant danger of hostile soldiers and civilian scavengers.     After hitting an initial wall in the first three hours, I initially wanted to write a scathing "F@#$ You" type negative review but I stuck with it....and i'm glad. It's an incredibly well balanced game and rewarding, but you have to push the brutality to the side and just roll with it.     Problems: The fact that you can't cleanly save/exit when doing a night scavenge is frustrating. The fact you can't cleanly save/exit while back in your shelter is pure BS as well. And to make it worse, every time you load up the game it randomly generates a new condition in your shelter (raided, wounded, loss of bullets, theft, etc). This, oddly enough, is both a flaw and an exploit since you can exit/reload repeatedly until you get a favorable outcome.

    Secondly, there were times when i was hiding from bandits and they got stuck in a twitchy pathing issue and wouldn't move. This is likely to cost you a character and needs to be fixed since every scrap counts BIGTIME. These issues (and there are a few more that i'm not going to harp on) need to be fixed, and is why it got some points removed.

    Protip: Use a tablet or pen/paper to keep track of your nightly scavenging runs!! Upgrade and board up your shelter as a top priority. If it's too hard, choose to "write my own story" and you can setup a MUCH easier game for yourself.    … Expand

    It's a huge piece of great game. I've never played any survival games before but I know one thing- this one is extremely amazing. In "war games" we usually used to be soldiers. In This War of Mine we are civilians and we are trying to survive. Very good and fresh idea. Game has got really simple but nice crafting system. What about storyline? Well. There isn't any storyline! We areIt's a huge piece of great game. I've never played any survival games before but I know one thing- this one is extremely amazing.     Not boring to be played repeatedly. The number of characters with different backgrounds and levels of difficulty which is quite difficult. Initially I thought this game would be boring, but it did not. Often we made should choose in difficult situations.

    For the price it is… I wouldn’t even say wait for a sale, I’d just say buy this game… it will challenge you, it will pull at your heart strings… but I think, especially in this day and age, we need games like this to remind us to care for one another and to point out what is really important.
