Jun 19, 2016Five Word Review: Side quest feel but worthwhile.
Favorite Thing: An enjoyable story and a good romp.
Least Favorite Thing: No gear progression, I wanted something new!
Playtime: ~ 14h
Enjoyment: 8/10
Recommendation: It's worth your time. -
Jun 11, 2016The expansion "Hearts of Stone" is splendid in all ways. Great storyline, new gameplay, nice soundtrack, etc. If you are a fan of The Witcher or liked the original game, you should definitely play it since it will be extremely fascinating.
-
Jun 5, 2016The writing is absolutely superb and there's easily enough content here to justify the price tag. A must-have for fans of the main game, no doubt about that.
-
Jun 1, 2016Wow! One of the best DLC ever!!. Incredible interesting characters (Olgierd and Gaunter o'Dim), really interesting and creative missions and really good the end of the story. Full of references to Polish literature, amazing music. I really recommend!

May 23, 2016Excellent expansion, If you want to finish it off completely it will take a mere 13-14 hrs(you have to be perfect), the combat well felt like Witcher 2, was challenging in comparison to the one's witcher 3 boasted of, overall it's a great DLC and will be worth every penny, this is how a dlc is supposed to be when not a standalone dlc!
-
May 21, 2016Great expansion pack with great story. It starts kind of slow, and I was initially disappointed when it started with a mission to kill some monster in the sewers, but then the story quickly starts taking unexpected turns, and builds up to become a really great storyline on par with the best storylines of the original game (such as the Bloody Baron storyline). Overall, a great expansion.
-
May 17, 2016The most awarded game of all time and well deserved. Without a doubt The Witcher 3 is the best game I have ever played. My only wish is that I could forget everything about this game just so I could have that feeling of playing through it for the first time again.
-
May 14, 2016"Hearts of Stone" is even better than "The Witcher 3" itself. It improves the game in every way (e. g. boss battles), especially the main story line of the dlc is better than the one of "Wild Hunt". "Hearts of Stone" is the best dlc I have ever played!
-
May 13, 2016They improved upon the one thing that was pretty bad in Witcher 3 and that was the easy boss battles. The story in this expansion is stellar and it is graciously accepted as a longtime Witcher fan.

Mar 17, 2016Probably one of the best games I ever played in my life (and i'm 37). The story and flow is amazing. This is an amazing piece of art . I recommend it to everyone.
-
Feb 16, 2016Hands down the best PC game I've ever played made even better by this expansion. I'd go as far as saying this 10-15 hours of gameplay alone is better than 95% of games out there and thats without the main story. Anyone that hasn't played this is missing out on a piece of creative genius.
-
Feb 12, 2016Such an amazing add-on. In fact, this was the best DLC since Half Life Opposing Force. Very funny and strong. Really fun to play and story is strong. Don´t hasitate to download and play it.

Jan 31, 2016A great example of what DLC should be. It adds a new crafting system to the game and expands the world a bit. The real treat, however, is the story. Without spoiling anything, I'll say that the antagonist is one of the most interesting I've encountered in a video game, ever. I really enjoyed the 10 hours I put into and I think it's well worth the $15 it cost.
-
Jan 16, 2016It is not a simple DLC but a complex, rich parallel storyline!
Great music.
Story well told.
I played it before the end of the main quest, and the intrigue is partially linked with some events in the game. Maybe if it wasn't detached into a separate DLC the integration could be better. However, it's 10/10 because is the best DLC I've seen so far. -
Jan 7, 2016Epic story with tons of extra hours of gameplay. Devs advertised it as ~10hrs and i got about ~30hrs going slow. Very good value. Adds tons of new areas and the story of it is top-tier. Get this dlc already.

Jan 5, 2016Brilliant, even better than the brilliant main game. Condensed goodness, the best writing and worldbuilding so far. (Minor minus for the "heist" for trend following but luckily it was not poorly executed)

Dec 27, 2015The story is simply amazing, especially the parts about the new antagonist which is a very interesting character by himself. Be warned though, the fights are much harder than in the original game and you have to adjust your tactics to the bosses as well as you can.
-
Dec 19, 2015This expansion pack offered me a tremendous experience for a relatively small amount of money. I enjoyed virtually every minute, from the tougher boss fights to the awesomely-designed quests that spanned the main story of Hearts of Stone. This expansion is a great addition to the main game and a shining example of how additional content for all games should look.
Well done, CDP. -

Dec 9, 2015I loved the boss battles in Hearts of Stone; especially the last one. I really enjoyed the story and appreciated the small extension to the map they gave us. I really appreciated the art style at this one particular segment of the game (you'll know). Ending was dope.
-
Dec 6, 2015I could not get past the overly complex, keyboard centric, combat controls. I am not paying $30 to watch my keyboard. I returned it, thank you Steam. I may buy it again when its under $15 and play the story only mode.

Nov 22, 2015Played almost 400 hours. On each walk through made different decisions and was rewarded with new stories- it was like getting a new game each time. The DLC made the game more enjoyable. The Story(ies) were wonderful. Hope the corporations that are squeezing efficiency learn from the example.
-
Nov 21, 2015The good game for role playing game (rpg) and adventure based. The adventure game story is good. The game graphic is good too. If you like rpg adventure game you should try this game.

Nov 13, 2015Great and unique main quest , three amazing new characters, some new gear, new rune mechanics, new types of beasts, nice boss fights. And to think that this is the smaller one of the two expansions included in the season pass (Blood & Wine being the second, coming 2016). CDPR is a game dev god. Powerful and benevolent.
-
Nov 13, 2015This excellent expansion is very very well done, gripping and has an excellent story line that it could well be a game of its own right. The only thing I've got against this is that it is pretty much an end game content, and the runecrafting is almost useless.
-
Nov 12, 2015That's brilliant example perfect game. Main storyline is fascinating and addictive. You also get many, many new weapons and other witcher stuff. It's the best DLC ever.
-
Nov 12, 2015This dlc is even better than original, already amazing game. Lots of new characters and quests. Rebalanced, better combat. Many bugs are fixed. It's like enhanced game with additional story!
-
Nov 11, 2015One of the best DLCs i've ever had to pleasure of playing. Really captures the essence of the Witcher series (book and games) and offers it for a very modest price.
-
Nov 10, 2015Spend 10 Euro on the DLC and got content worth more than 100 Euro in EA DLCs. The story is great and they even managed to improve things over the main game like shorter but more enjoyable quests.

Nov 10, 2015Now THIS is an example of how to do an open world game in 2015.
Adds new story, romance, locations, armours, etc. A must buy for only $10 if you're a fan of the Witcher series.
Like the main game it's very well optimised and I didn't encounter a single bug in the DLC content. -
Nov 10, 2015İt's definitely worth buy it without asking.
Finally challenging bosses and enemies im playing at death march (hardest difficultly) and main game was easy expect imlerith fight but this dlc was really hard.
As always very good scenario
New contents
And they don't forget adding some fun and romance
So 10/10 -

Nov 2, 2015If you enjoyed the base game, this is a MUST buy.
Only costs 10 dollars and you get 10-11 hours of content, and those hours are much more quality than your average 10 hours in the base game. Quests aren't repetitive, they're interesting and the new storyline is pretty good, with memorable characters and a great villain. -
Oct 30, 2015What can I say? There's more content in this DLC than there is in some full priced games, the plot and characters are capturing, the combat is even better than it was.. For just 10 euros this is a must-buy for any Witcher fan.
-
Oct 29, 2015One of the best games I have ever played in my life, and I have played a lot of games.
Beautiful jaw dropping graphics, amazing story, great dialogue, solid characters, and fun combat.
Another nice thing, challenge is optional, you can make the game hard or easy, your call. -
Oct 25, 2015Completely combat driven DLC with overpowered enemies that make almost all your skills completely useless. A bad way to start the paid DLCs. Completely step away from what made W3 good and simply added impossibly tough enemies that are mostly immune to the skills you've spent hours building up.

Oct 21, 2015I hate The Witcher, they raised the bar so high, its hard to play other games now, damn your amazing quality games.
P.S. I think they sold their soul to the devil, game is way way to good for normal people to make it. -

-
Oct 19, 2015Decent main quest, however not so great side-quests and new game mechanics. Also little too much cutscenes/dialogue instead of real gameplay. In main game it was better balanced.
-
Oct 19, 2015amazing expansion, great story, little confusing at start but overall great asd on for a EPIC GAME,,my game of the year.................................
-
Oct 19, 2015Amazing expansion. Awesome story. Great characters. Improved boss fights. Just amazing.
It is basically still the same old Witcher 3 but even more improved. I did not think it is even possible but here you are. -

Oct 18, 2015It's a fantastic DLC,well worth the small asking price.Besides the expected new weapons, armour, quests etc,it contains a truly brilliant main story and excellent characters, music and dialogue. The Witcher (and CDPR) keep on giving in what is now,I have decided, the greatest video game I've ever experienced (4 times so far).Blood and Wine cannot come soon enough...Masterful.

Oct 18, 2015+ Bosses. And fight with them is better then in main game.
+ Story. It reminds me story with Bloody Baron.
+ I bought this expansion with physical form of Gwint and cards are really beatifull.
+ New ithems.
+ Prize.
+ Playing time around 12 hours.
- Some bugs in gwints games. -
Oct 18, 2015Perfect DLC. CD Project red created a wonderful story with amazing and interesting characters. The map got a bit bigger and a new forging system are included in the DLC. For its very cheap price and lots of content I have to say that this is one of the best DLCs out there.
-
Oct 17, 2015Interesting and funny story. But i think that this game is more fun for Sapkowski's readers, Pols and Slavic ppl. The humor of conversations is great in polish version, one day I have to play english one
-
Oct 17, 2015Hearts of Stone cost me roughly 8€ and it offered great value of ~14h of great gameplay and story. The new characters are awesome, especcially Shani, Olgierd and O'Dimm. The graphics are as beautiful as ever and there are also some new sidequests. The locations and things to do are very creative(toad, picture world, wedding), leading to some hilarious and romantic scenes.

Oct 16, 2015What can I say?
This game already had a special place in my heart.
And after this expansion, got even deeper in my thoughts. What a great storyline, voice acting and writing. How great?! I just can't get enough of Witcher. Geralt must live forever. -
Oct 15, 2015This expansion is great. Of course it's always better when it "expands" the main story, or tells what happened after original story - that's why I give it 9 not 10 ;)
-
Oct 15, 2015I wouldn't exactly call Hearts of Stone an expansion, more like an expanded DLC. Having said that, the story completely blew me away. This is definitely one of the greatest pieces of RPG storytelling ever made. Please CDPR, please make more like this.

Jul 6, 2016With Geralt's final adventure coming to an end, CD Projekt Red did a masterful job. Action, intrigue, love and Gwent - it's all there and it's better than ever. Truly a finale worthy of the legendary Witcher.
-
May 31, 2016Hearts of Stone is an essential pickup if you’re playing The Witcher 3.

CD-ActionDec 16, 201512 hour long expansion almost as good as the original game. [12/2015, p.42]
