Fast paced action, ridiculous enemies, and witty humor makes The Weaponographist incredibly enjoyable. I highly recommend it if you enjoy rouge-likes, lots of silly weapons, and great enemy design.

Good looking game, bad gameplay, wasted opportunity. How could this passed quality control?

Aside from (mostly useless) experiments with weaponry, The Weaponographist has nothing going for it.

The concepts behind the The Weaponographist are interesting ones, and they incentivize combo-hunting better than most titles I've seen in a while. It's just too bad that the developers weren't able to get a better handle on character progression and combat design. With a lot of tweaking, this could have been a bite-sized little gem. As it stands? The Weaponographist is a drawn-out mess.

In the end I found the game to be fun in small doses, but the repetitive levels and grindy gameplay turned me off.
