Oct 21, 2013This game is just something else. It's like nothing you've ever played before. It's simple, but funny and very, very clever. The irony of the story line is simply superb. If you are an action junkie, then this might not be for you, but those who enjoy a fulfilling, cerebral experience, then this is a must. To say more would not do it justice, just buy it. Buy it now.

Oct 21, 2013This game is phenomenal and well written but short: which is expected and is of sufficient value for its discount pricing. It definitely left me wanting more. I hope the success of this game leads to a sequel or an expansion pack.

Oct 22, 2013This is not like any other game I have ever played. I highly recommend playing the demo first, then the game. The only downside is, it's a fairly short game.
-
Dec 19, 2013A Dostoyevsky-esque testament to the fact that games can display existential philosophy beautifully without needing any flashy effects.
The Stanley Parable is a game which requires playing through the same general sets of experiences over and over again to get an idea about the nature of storytelling and of reality itself. -
Oct 30, 2013This game is very interesting,i have played the half life 2 mod before that, and some endings are the same.
I enjoyed how the world was changing or repeating when i walked trough a door, and how the voice told some "rude" things like "you don't listen" or "you are doing all this for the achievement?" and i really couldn't stop laughing when he said something to me. -
Oct 27, 2013This a great thought provoking interactive story and a well spent few hours. Mature game players will get the most out of this game, with more drama than action.
-
Oct 28, 2013With it's 'Create Your Own Story' aspect, the witty and hilarious narration provided by Kevan Brightin, and it's all around sense of wonder, The Stanley Parable is shaping up to be one of the best games of the year.
-
Oct 29, 2013Fun. Intelligent. Brilliant. Inonvative. Like Dear Esther this is one of those games which shows you video games can be much more than shooting bad guys and realistic graphics. If you want to try something new, enjoy a little intelligent comedy and great voice acting; this sure is your game.
-
Oct 31, 2013A great game. Just trust me. I cannot spoil anything. The 2011 mod was amazing, so is this one. A little short however. Just amazing. You can but it on steam for $15.

Nov 9, 2013This is a beautiful game with tons of content and fantastic witty writing, with about 20 different fun, interesting and sometimes sad endings, off the wall weird achievements, and a sense of true exploration 9/10.

Nov 19, 2013When I first saw this game I had no clue what it was about and what it looked like. It's really interesting I really enjoyed. I'd love to see a sequel. Go buy this game!
-
Nov 19, 2013This game is very different from most, and in some cases you can't even consider it a game. Regardless of whatever you want to call The Stanley Parable, it made me laugh so hard I coughed my lungs out. While the game is a bit "short" nor re-playable, per se, it was definitely a fun experience and I hope to see more from the series.

Nov 23, 2013I really love this game. Its very short and you will have all endings in a small among of time but you will rly enjoy it. Go play the demo and buy it
-
Nov 23, 2013Funny. Awesome. Great. After I plyed all the endings, I searched for Eastereggs, and there are so many of them! I just love it. One of the funniest games I played the last time!
-
Nov 28, 2013The only reason this game gets a nine is because it can get a little bit repetitive. Other than that, this game is absolutely fantastic. Great soundtrack, great voice acting, great story. The Stanley Parable does a great job of combining everything you love about video games.
-
Dec 11, 2013This game has made quiet an advance in terms of design and choice maker finals, the possibilities are really impressive and the way the story flows is fantastic. Works really good for a casual or a hardcore gamer.

Dec 30, 2013What an interesting "game." When reading about it online the theme was just to try it so you don't spoil it for yourself. Glad I did! Keep in mind it's not a game in the traditional sense. I imagine a lot of the negative reviews are from people who had expected some sort of puzzle game? Your mileage may vary but definitely worth trying to have an opinion.
-
Dec 31, 2013Smart, entertaining and worth the money. Between 3-4 hours of brilliant gameplay. Wouldn't have wanted to be any longer, as it would become stale. Nailed every aspect, down to the hilarious achievements. Far better than spending the same amount to go watch a movie!
-
Jan 5, 2014Ahahah this is something, a really insane story, i had much fun playing it and I recommend it to everyone who wanna play something different (well, you don't have to play so much in that game, but it is fantastic however)

Mar 3, 2014Definitely an awesome game! Like some people here say - you either hate or love it. It makes you think and is definitely one of the games which I liked most! I don't know how to describe it - it always makes you think the game ended, but suddenly a little thing is different. and THAT'S WHY I LOVE IT!!!
-
Mar 7, 2014Surprisingly good game with achievements that will blow your mind and a sense of humor that reminds that of Portal and Portal 2. An experience everybody should try.

Mar 30, 2014It´s hard to say something about this awesome game, not spoilering something.
But when a game completely convinces you without having graphics like Skyrim or action as in CoD/Battlefield or whatever, there is something making it really special. I can´t really tell what this is, but Stanley Parable has it :D -

Apr 14, 2014i was expecting for more endings... but anyways, i had to try all 18 and it was soo much fun!! just try, keep on trying til you know you completed all of the endings. an original game which guarantee you some fun! 9/10 :)

-
Mar 28, 2020A smart, funny and entertaining game that doesn't need to hide from masterpieces like Day of the Tentacle or Monkey island.
High replay value and encouraged player creativity.
Family friendly too. -
Nov 14, 2014Original concept, works great and doesn't require much of a computer. If you get it at 6$ its a 8, but if u got it for 3$ like me I would give it a 10. Not the longest game but if u get it cheap it'll be worth it.

Feb 12, 2015Really wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this at all, and my initial impression wasn't good either if I'm honest.
Glad I gave it more than five minutes though, because it's really good. Give it a whirl! -

Jul 29, 2015Great game that is a fast pace run of the mill AAA MLG title, just a good relaxing game to play on your down time. only con is the game is really short and you can beat this in a few hours.
-
Feb 15, 2020It's basically just an interactive fun storytelling game. If you like those kind of games then you will love this!
-
Feb 2, 2016The Stanley Parable is such an interesting look at the game culture... I did enjoy the constant mind screw the game offers to the players.
I can see why the game got negative reviews but really for what it IS this game is damn near perfect. If the Graphics aren't your thing, play it for the dark and dry humor. -
Dec 26, 2016The Stanley Parable is an amazing game with a good massage that really makes you think. You play as Stanley and you find out that all your co-workers are missing and I will not dare spoil the few endings of this game just take my work that it's amazing.
-
Mar 2, 2020There is absolutely nothing bad about this game, as well as there is absolutely nothing I should say about it to avoid spoilers. It's better to go into this experience blind-folded
-
Mar 21, 2018The Stanley Parable is an experiment in storytelling that somehow is engaging while having no gameplay. It is short, but very well thought with top-notch narrator, who is ready to react to player's every action.

Apr 10, 2020This game is incredible. I really enjoyed. Crazy gameplay. In this game the main point is fun. Just enjoy the story.
-
Apr 9, 2019It's hard to say anything about the game without spoiling anything. Let's just say that it's not exactly the game, more an experience and the games aren't the same after it. The Stanley Parable is short and not so expensive, so everybody should try it.

Aug 7, 2020Every little detail of this game is great, I don't think I can talk more without spoiling the game, I really like this game with every small portion of my heart, But that doesn't mean the game doesn't have downsides, The lack of replayability value and the short length it offers are the only two things that are keeping it from the 10/10 review.
-
Feb 8, 2021This is not a game but more of an experience. Pretty interesting experience. An experience where you can encounter different things wherever you go. You will see yourself spending hours to see all the endings. Because he does what he wants to do. It makes you wonder.
-
Jul 12, 2022Funny novelty for all audiences! Or at least for people who area amused by things that are … unusual. I’ve read that more content will be added in the Super Deluxe edition, and I certainly plan on purchasing that in the future.
-
Dec 17, 2020I've never seen such a unique and interesting game before. The subtle humor and the gorgeous voice of the narrator, mocking the concept of video games...
-
Feb 25, 2023Resembles the style of Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker Guide To The Galaxy. You will find similar sarcastic and critical humor here. With the cleverly designed puzzle, you will encounter the intelligent mind of developers.
9: Must play - One of the best games of the year it came out. -

Feb 4, 2023You can't see the like of this game, there is only 1 of this game. Your choices in this game are extremely beautiful. It tells you that it doesn't really matter at all and that your choices are actually equivalent. It can be compared to the relationship between God and human.
-
Mar 2, 2023fun, quirky, and interactive. the game itself has minimal user interaction and at the same time, has such drastic decisions to be made that effect you, and effect the game. very beautiful game
-
Apr 29, 2017It is a great game with infinite possibilities for its ending, but I gave it 3 days max, than I get bored. It is worth to try, though, sometimes you don't even know why you are compelled to keep going...

Mar 1, 2014Great narrator. I really liked him. He describes everything I do and every choice I make, like I'm in a book. The Stanley Parable is the first of its kind. It criticizes the modern way of living and shows how this life really looks like. The story is unpredictable. I thought that I'm playing that game. But later I said: Oh I feel stupid. This game is playing me.

Dec 27, 2013A refreshing indie game with an ironic view on first person adventure games. At least it isn't a linear storytelling like Dear Eshter or the controversial Gone Home. It was fun, has many endings you can explore. Still, it felt a little bit overpriced when it came out.
-
Oct 19, 2013Any information about this game would pretty much ruin it. You explore an office looking for your co-workers and you are presented with simple decisions like which door to take. It's very enjoyable and there are tons of alternate endings and hidden easter eggs. Not a game in the traditional sense but a great experience.
-

-
Nov 3, 2013The content within the experience is extremely enjoyable. However, the game was slightly too short for my liking. Getting the vast majority of the endings, it took me 5 hours.
-
Oct 23, 2013Have you ever wanted to live your life narrated by a wonderfully voiced British man? Than Stanley's Parable is perfect for you, whether your adventure takes your to a Broom closest or a blue or red door, this game is pretty awesome. All in all, I had a great time and laughed more than once throughout my, Stanley's, journey.

Oct 21, 2013Lots of Re-playability. Hilarious Narrator and Nice Graphics. This game will keep you coming back to try and find every ending possible. At such a low price this is definitely a game to pick up!
-
Jan 16, 2014Engaging and interesting. The intelligence and interactivity with the narrator in regards to actions effecting the story telling is a lot of fun to be honest. Thorough enjoyable.
I also love games that are a viable "I only feel like playing for 20-30 minutes before I have to do something" game, as it can be as short or as long as you want. Good game. -
Jan 24, 2014This was one of the most random pieces of self-aware fun I've had the joy to play. A friend bought it for me and I was gonna play for a few minutes before bed and before I knew it it had been over four hours! I'm also glad for the first time that I tried to get an achievement - the 430 one. Trust me, go for it!

Mar 26, 2014It is a very good and well thought through game.

Oct 24, 2013This is a game that just astounds me, every choice you make changes something, and as long as you don't repeat the same path, you get something different. It is a game that i enjoyed a lot and is something that i can't explain so..... yeah, just go play it and see for yourself, the game is not for everyone but if you like a story line narrative kind of game, you will enjoy it.
