The Japanese-themed world is beautiful, but also small and empty. The gameplay is just another reuse of previous packs such as outdoor retreat, spy day, fitness stuff, city living. Very little new gameplay is added, so it gets boring just in several hours.

The world itself is beautiful and the builds are quite good. However , I feel the gameplay itself is lacklustre and not enough for an expansion pack. This would be more worthwhile if it was a Game pack. Expand

Got this game with some DLCs. To be honest, this game is hella boring. The only reason why I play this game is to design houses and restaurants. Also, I watch Graystillplays and thought it would be entertaining to play but I was wrong.

Not only one of the best additions of the past year, but also one of the best of all time. Indeed, a good CAS, a building mode, interesting functions for the game, of course, the developers could add more content, but overall it is interesting.

Yet another 40 bucks shallow expansion pack which adds few "new" features which: (1) are mostly concentrated in one specific area and does not affect anything else really; (2) are underdeveloped and bland; (3) will get repetetive and boring very quickly; (4) consist mostly of repetion of the things we already had - outdoor activities, festivals, collectibles - this kind of jazz. Everything just burns out far too quickly and unless you are specifically trying to create some sort of story for your sim, you won't visit mt. Komorebi twice. This expansion pack is just not worth spending 40 bucks - that's an insane price for something that short and shallow. Ten, maybe fifteen bucks would be fine, I guess. But not forty. Expand

Not a bad addition. With it, you can build magnificent homes while enjoying the views of the city. Adds variety and realism to the game. Recently: the best addition

Apart from some lesser features, Snowy Escape introduces the Far East theme (finally!), offers a couple of often-requested new activities (e.g. snowboarding), and lets you choose lifestyles for your Sims. It might well be my favorite expansion for the game. [01/2021, p.77]

The region of Mt. Komorebi itself is a gorgeous addition to the world of The Sims 4, a miniature Japanese Winter Wonderland getaway for everyone stuck at home. Snowy Escape provides players with a way to forget about everyday worries and enjoy being social and carefree. And, with the addition of Sentiments and Lifestyles, it has never been more interesting and important to be social than it is in Mt. Komorebi.

Snowy Escape is definitely in line with the better half of The Sims 4 expansions, but the lack of original ideas, and the amount of content you get for its price is kind of hard to swallow.
