Never really understood all the lukewarm responses to this game pack. It's $20 but I got it for $15 on sale. Now I thought this was pretty fun. You get a new world called Granite Falls. You get a new world called Granite Falls. You book vacations to it to spend some days either roughing it in the campground or live nicer in a lodge for your time. You plan out how many days and each one shows their rates. Once you have booked a stay, you can then travel to the forest and there are more things to do there like collecting, herbalism skill to improve, fishing, telling ghost stories, roasting weenies. I really have enjoyed this and think the reviews seem too lackluster. Out of all the packs I have at the moment (and I have them all right now), I have gotten the most use out of this one. I honestly would've paid full price for this one. The new build mode items are interesting and I have a nice campground even at my house. The clothing items are awesome and I enjoyed them all. My only complaint is that I would like to change some of the houses on the campground. I think that some people have actually done this but when I placed a new house on one of the lots, it changed the rate in accordance to the building, but I got stuck in a loop. I rebooted the game and tried again and the same thing happened. This pack would be perfect if that could be fixed. Definitely a 9/10 and totally underrated. Expand

The idea of a vacation world is cool but it doesn't add much gameplay to the sims 4 and in this vacation world there isn't much to do. Cool concept , but gameplay lets it down. Not an essential for the sims. 3/10 sadly

It's not a whole Add-on but it also brings some cool new stuff to Sims 4.
It's better than the Stuff Packs, that were released during Sims 3, which only brought some new
furniture without any kind of new Interactions.
Here we have a new Neighbourhood, new furniture and new cool interactions!

'It's a pricy expansion.' It is the same price as a stuff pack yet has a great deal more. If all you morons would stop complaining and realize that in TS3 you would get maybe half the things you do in this.

I didn't like it. It hasn't the requeriments for me to be a content pack. This hasn't any logic. Granite Falls is boring, the idea is boring, and the whole pack is boring. Horrible.

Well, not a expansion pack, but still better than that stuff packs they used to release before. This game pack was a good way to add some good and playable things to the game, that suffered with the lack of stuffs and things when the base game was first released

Why does EA keep making these things? Could they really be making any money? I am stunned that they persist in putting out boring expenditure after boring expenditure and people still buy them. Sims 3 is amazing. It gets a 10. But Sims 4 is worse even than Sims 2 and the DL they put out is even duller.

Sims 4 sorely needed more content with such a lacking base game. This does not help.

It adds a very specific spectrum of content that few will find entertaining, and even less will find worth the price. Add to that the annoyances such as the bear suit that sometimes appears in the main neighborhoods, and you may even find your experience worsened by this pack.

    For diehard EA supporters only.

For a $20 pack, I was expecting more. Since it's half the price of an EP, I was expecting half the content of an EP. Sims can go hiking but all they do is walk alone through the world. They can't do it with friends or family, they can't actually hike a mountain or something, they don't stop to look at the view or see the animals (granted, there is barely any wild life to be seen, and the ones we can see are just embarrassing: a squirrel that looks like it came from a 1999 game. If you don't know what I'm talking about, google "squirrel outdoor retreat"). The campfire is nice, every sims' game has it so it was nice to have it back. There are a few interactions like sing songs on a guitar but you can't actually do it with other sims. Like a group of friends and family having fun around the campfire, singing songs together. Your sim does it alone and no one around even cares. When I send my sims to go camping with their friends (sims that aren't in the same household) they disappear the next day and leave my sim alone at the camp. It's just impossible to go camping with non-controllable sims. All you do when you go camping is sit by the fire or play horseshoes. We didn't even get a picnic basket or a ball or other fun activities that you usually do when you go camping. Overall, I was disappointed.

Já vi milhares de conteúdos parecidos com deste jogo em outros jogos do The Sims, nada inovador e um preço grande para um trabalho pequeno como esse? Qual é né.

The focus of this pack is being able to go camping at the new woodland vacation destination, Granite Falls. While this is a nice idea, and something which does mix up the game a bit- realistically how often are you going to go on vacation? As the years have gone on, the less and less I have used this pack and I've almost forgotten i even have it installed in my game.

While the Create-a-Sim and Build/Buy features are quite a nice addition, they're not essential, and all stick to a very rustic, woodland theme. And the gameplay is very mediocre and forgettable, with little that will change your everyday gameplay and I would only recommend buying it if you have most/all the other game packs, or if it is on offer, however your $20 could be much better spent on game packs such as Dine Out or Parenthood, which add a lot of new gameplay, or Spa Day, which adds some of the best CAS and Build/Buy items that the game has had to date.

The DLC holiday city is like a cute village. but that's the end of it. There is no gameplay, there is nothing, there is nothing to do. boring. but the clothes are a little cool.

The first DLC adds vacations. With a new location and some new gameplay additions. Unfortunately the fun ends after your first visit and A boring game awaits you.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I thought it would be like a campsite that you can go on vacation to with lots of different activities with it being a game pack but instead, it is very limited not much really for your Sims to do apart from the stuff you can do with the base game except it is in granite falls, the world doesn't add much to the game you can't visit any of the plots unless you are in one of the rentals. The Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat has fun new items, a unique aspirations, and new activities. It is nice to bring your virtual people to the outdoors but fails to give longevity outside of a brief vacation.

The Sims 4 fans will enjoy this brand new game pack, that adds a few new features but ends up falling short in terms of new content.

The new content is certainly welcome, but how much replay value the new area will generate still remains to be seen. In any case, the ability to crash your obnoxious Sim, permanently, at anyone's fancy digs is never going to get old.
