    The Silent Age is a point and click adventure that never really surprised me, nor engaged me. The pace is always the same throughout the game. There's no variation in complexity, nor plot twist, it's too flat.
    The writing is decent, but some more effort could be put on that too to make it more entertaining.

    Watched my daughter play through this game from begining to end and never once wanted to pick up the controller and have a go myself.

    Truth be told, I had a bad feeling as soon as the game launched, but a few minutes in I changed my mind u-turn style. This simple point n' click is just pleasant to the senses and fun to play. It's immersive, fluid, intuitive. Everything is very clear, from the interactive objects that never require a hot spot key to the objectives, the short inventory and the use of    Short and sweet.

It's immersive, fluid, intuitive. Everything is very clear, from the interactive objects that never require a hot spot key to the objectives, the short inventory and the use of time shift. The story is compelling and humane while not taking itself seriously. Progression is easy, making the story flow, but not to the point of feeling carried by the hand. The pace is just fine.

    The Silent Age it's a point and click adventure with interesting ideas under the design and graphic style side. The strongest point is the storytelling but the puzzle development is basically absent. It's just a continuous way of "use object with" from the beginning to the end. No multiple dialogues that unlock situations/clues and that's it.

    I Have no Mouth and I must Scream (tough and amazing, even more deeper than the short novel)

    Silent Age has a nice mix of common sense / lateral thinking puzzles, spiced up with the time travel mechanics - in direct lineage from Day of the Tentacle (except for comic aesthetics and the absurd tone).
    The story is well written, many plot twists are foreshadowed through environmental storytelling so the end of the story is very satisfying for the observant player.

    The one issue I have with this game is the ridiculous size. I don't get how the download could be 3.5 gigabytes for a game that's only 3 hours long having just a handful of areas, barely any voice acting and such simple graphics. Using filesystem compression already reduces it to about 900MB, which means they didn't even try. Though even at 900MB, it still seems much too big for a game like this. Disk space or download time may not be an issue for many, but this kind of game could be interesting for people with old systems, which don't always have that kind of space available.

    Anyway, I got it for 99 cents and it was definitely worth the money. I would've felt a bit cheated if I had paid the full 9.99 for it though.    … Expand

    Short but good. Interesting story - though nothing revolutionary. Implements the time-travel mechanic very well. A joyful experience.

    Interesting graphic, sound is ok and story is awesome. Game is easy, no game i to easy. It's like you are not playing adventure you are manipulating with one or two object on three screens, and when you finish that, again with new object and screens.

    Pretty good point and click adventure game. Probably the most interesting aspect of the game is the time jump mechanic that allows you to explore the same locations at different points in time, and jumping back and forth is required to solve some of the puzzles. The story is interesting, but I did feel like I was being dragged along for the ride at times - doing things for uncertain reason just because I had to do something to advance the story (lots of "I found a key, lets see what I can do with it") - but again, that's simply the nature of story progression in these type games, so no qualms besides a few confusing moments. The story, without giving too much away, centers around a janitor who is put in the position of saving the world from a future contagion.

    The artwork, atmosphere, and sound effects were good. There's quite a bit of quality narration, supplemented by text. Game has a good humor about itself.

    Overall good game worth a playthrough. Total playtime for me was about 5 hours. If this sounds interesting give it a shot.    … Expand

    Rich in style and atmosphere, with a compelling plot and nice minimalist graphics, The Silent Age is a solid attempt at the point-and-click adventure genre.
