It took me a while, after stabbing dozens of civilians, to realise that the red objects flying towards me are, actually, the kidneys of my victims. The object here is their collection and, interestingly, kidneys represent the currency in this game - they can be used to purchase upgrades as well as weapons.

These slight RPG elements do not make the game very complex. Your job is simple - keep to the left (or right) and stab as many pedestrians as possible. They tend to go faster, mind you, so your best bet is to utilise your long-distance jump ability as many times as possible. The game's leaderboards feature allows us to compete with each other - how long can you continue the massacre before police eliminate you? It's all about surviving the longest possible time.

Some of the tougher officers come after you on Segways. You also irritate gangs and, if you are "good" enough, angels will fall from the sky to have a saying. I really like this game - the great music / sound and the pixelated look all make for a great atmosphere. It is possible to obtain all achievements in an hour or so (with extensive grinding, though); you can stay for more, however, as you will still keep levelling up and you can still improve your position on the leaderboards.
