I had the original on ps5, it was 60fps and worked seamlessly. This edition is a downgrade, yep you pay to have it worse. The dev will not fix as they are so snobbish they believe they fixed it, which they have not. So I purchased on pc. I own a 4090 card, three weeks old at time of writing. Cyberpunk runs higher fps than this garbage. That's all you need to know. Avoid completely.

I absolutely cannot recommend this game. Everything you do has a chance to botch the game for you. If you do a mission with insufficient reputation, mission botched; if you go to someplace earlier than the game intended you to, mission botched; if your companion kills mission related NPC by accident, mission botched; if you talk to some NPC without knowing all their conversion options willI absolutely cannot recommend this game. -- All of this wouldn't be a big problem if this game has a decent autosave mechanism. Sadly, it doesn't. Autosave is next to non-existent. You rely on your own manual saves.

This is truly a laughable piece of terrible spaghetti coding. I believe somewhere during the process of developing this game, the developer found out their open-world and open-end approach had just gone out of hand, so they invented this concept of "botched missions", so even if the player messed up all the missions, they can still "finish" the game. What a lame cop-out solution.

If you do want to try this game, read guides [diligently] and [in detail]. The game will be spoiled for you, but at least you don't have to restart the whole game just because you went to the wrong place at the wrong time.

[added one line for 'spacer's edition'] - the performance is atrocious, no matter what settings you are on, the game simply stutters.

I played the game but after 12 hours, I couldn't find something that motivated me to keep playing. The missions are a bit boring and the secondary characters are a bit empty and the world doesn't inspire me to explore it. I wanted to keep playing it, but the truth is, I wasn't having fun or being entertained at all.

Good game. I miss the original game so I discover it in this edition, and I spent fun hours in it.
I don't get issues with it, but not as solid as other games. Good history and mechanics, with some very good sections.

The upgrades are all very welcome and the fact that all of the Outer Worlds content has been bundled into one package is also appealing. Once the performance issues have been sorted (hopefully soon) I have no doubt that this will be the best version of a game that is the best version of a particular game style. Until then though I have to say, buyer beware.

Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition is a good chance for all the people who missed the game when it first came out to experience this sci-fi game.
