The devs have done an incredible job of listening to player feedback and implementing it major updates to the game.
That said, here are the most important takeaways from the game now: The Scout Act I shines in regards to graphics, story, and sound design. The levels are all gorgeous, with incredible attention to detail in every room and character. The voice-acting for every single character is phenomenal. The story is a joy to experience, and allows you to skim or go as incredibly deep as you want with it (and I mean REALLY deep, they packed a lot of lore in this game to enhance Brian Jacques' world, and it is executed wonderfully). The music is beautiful and all original for the game.
The gameplay of the game is good, but not spectacular. There are a lot of features left over from previous updates that now serve no purpose, and sometimes obtuse hints or objectives are given. None of these majorly hinder progression (anymore) but they definitely are a damper on otherwise wonderful aspects of the game.
If you are looking to enjoy a beautiful, engaging game with an excellent story, this is a game you should definitely pick up. If you are a big fan of Redwall and the world that Brian Jacques created, then this is a MUST-have. However, if you are just looking for a game with smoothest gameplay or the coolest new feature, I would be more cautious before buying this game.… Expand
